He meant that removing his mask would be extremely painful for CIA.
They screwed up the lines and CIA said "You're a big guy" before it was his turn to speak.
The real scene was supposed to go,
"If I pull off that mask, will you die?" -CIA
"It would be extremely painful, for you."- Bane
"You're a big guy." -CIA
Wrong, when the line “it would be extremely painful.” Was said via said “you’re a big guy” meaning he’s physically bog and mentally mature and should be able to take the pain.
Bane responds “for you” an insult saying cia is a tiny man both physically and mentally and only sees Bane as a big guy because he himself is completely out his class by comparison and “small” and that bane is not afraid of pain but merely acknowledging its existence that he (cia) didn’t get that. It’s very similar to him completely emasculating the other guy later when he asked him if he felt like he was in charge. Bane is fricking with people anytime they challenge him both physically and mentally
Bravo Nolan
is everyone here ESL?
>Bane: "it would be extremely painful"
>CIA: "you're a big guy"
cia is saying bane should be a tough enough guy to handle the pain
>Bane: "for you"
bane is clarifying that to take off his mask would be extremely painful for CIA, implying that he will hurt him if CIA touches his mask. bane is threatening CIA with both replies
he not that big but compared to cia he is
Correct bane is 5'9 and Cia is 5'8
>If I pull of that mask, will you die?
Meaning should be obvious
>It would be extremely painful
Bane is implying that it would hurt to take his mask off and it's not just a decoration
>You're a big guy
CIA is saying that he believes Bane is big and strong enough to handle a little pain and is implying he's planning on taking the mask off anyway
>For you
Bane is saying "No, I mean it would be painful for you" which means Bane would physically attack CIA if mask removal was attempted.
>>You're a big guy
>CIA is saying that he believes Bane is big and strong enough to handle a little pain and is implying he's planning on taking the mask off anyway
This was sarcasm, he didn't think bane was actually big, they're both short.
>This was sarcasm, he didn't think bane was actually big, they're both short.
'Big' doesn't just refer to height. Bane is far, far more muscular than CIA.
Bane always had a secret crush on CIA for the longest time, but CIA only liked "big" guys. Bane trained for years to become a big guy and finally make a move on CIA. When he was finally cornered on the plane and called a big guy, he was so flattered that all he could respond with was "For You." Bane was quite literally a big guy FOR CIA. Truest form of love tbh.
So bane was a manlet?
He had tremendous moxie for his size.
Miss that lil homie like you wouldn’t believe
It would be extremely baneful
why does no one ever talk about Bane was a yandere for Talia and raised her for easily half a decade in a literal prison? he got kicked out of the League because of loving her; "his only crime was he loved me."
Basically no one ever talked about the last fifth of the movie. It was so goofy and stupid no one felt the need to even bring it up much back in the day
Plus the most disappointing nuclear bomb blast ever put to screen.
second most disappointing as of last year
And people only talk about the first fifth because of how stupid it is. I'm starting to think this wasn't a very good movie.
sure, but despite its horrible writing the concept of a teenager (?) protecting a child in a prison is kino. that's the most interesting part of this entire clusterfrick of a cape flick.
>introduce lovable cast of rogues like Smee, Maimen, Dr. Pavelheer, and Juan Ovyu
>kill them all off in the next scene
Nolan is a hack.
It's good filmmaking. He's establishing early on that named characters can die at any time so there's tension in the post-credits scenes.
Good film making? He randomly introduces characters that never even show up. He just name drops them, like in the scene with the sewer and the hot head, he calls in ThadDee W.P. Guy. Yet Mr. Guy never shows his face.
he did the same thing in the Joker bank heist scene with Dunnheir, Ike Hill, and Mckenna (with Drawl)
I dont know this movie. Tell me about Big Guy, why did he wear the mask?
Because he was a big guy
For whom was he a big guy?
I always thought "for you" was meant as an insult to CIA for being small, as in "maybe for you, scrawny CIA agent, I'm a big guy", implying that for other bigger men (e.g league of shadows members) they'd be on equal footing.
what that Germanwings pilot unironically an IRL Baneposter?
*was that
are people serious when they say they dont understand the scene?
The movie was based on true events. Certain parts of the dialogue were kept as they happened in real life out of respect to those who passed away.
Poor Jodie
>always laughed at this
>never read the part where she actually died
>now feel like an butthole
I'm no longer in charge here.
