>You're not Kira. That is - it would be a problem if you were Kira. Because I feel you're the first friend that I have ever had.
>You're not Kira. That is - it would be a problem if you were Kira. Because I feel you're the first friend that I have ever had.
is it really possible to live for 20 years without having any friends?
hehe yeah how is that possible >.> <.<
L was an aspie and a workaholic
I just realized recently that Kira is just "Killer" in Japanese Engrish.
>le L clone but even more autistic and le bad boy who is always eating chocolate dramatically bust the case wide open!
Nah
There's a based character in Jojo's named Kira and he kills a character that was voiced by Ls voice actor
Based handchad, I immediately felt for Kira. He is literally me
>Kira is "Killer" in Japanese Engrish
>his antagonist is called "L"
Deepest rore.
does anyone exist who bothers watching the rest of the series after L dies?
It's not as bad as people make it out to be tbh.
There is some genuinely interesting stuff in the second half like the Cult of Kira.
Imo, the biggest problem is that it feels rushed. They could've easily extended the second half by another 10 episodes.
dude no it genuinely sucks after L's gone. there's no reason M had to exist and he fricking sucks in every way imaginable. it would have been infinitely more interesting if the series ended immediately after L died leading to an ambiguous ending or something like Kira losing the will to cover his tracks as much as he did when L was around
This is why the first two live action films are superior adaptations, letting alone the fact that the anime is already just a slideshow version of the comic with considerably worse art. In the films Light and L just mutually kill each other in the end, though L wins by a margin of something like 2 days thanks to notebook rules.
But yeah, the loss of L actually affecting Light's psyche would have also been a much more interesting route to go down than what they did with the original story.
It doesn't become not worth watching, but the highlight of the show was obviously Light Vs. L.
Are there any series/movies/games/anime that have a similar cat/mouse dynamic where you see both protagonists perspectives?
Pic related absolutely rules and so does Cure from Japan
Breaking Bad (Meth Note)
Hannibal television series with Mads Mikkelsen
bit of a stretch but the X-Men films with Patrick Stewart and Ian McKellan, not exactly cat/mouse but the characters are best friends despite being mortal enemies
It's neccasary because Light is obviously supposed to lose somehow, it's just that nobody cares about the gay twins and their victory over him just feels forced and completely undeserved
...
He was his "father" not his friend
>He was his "father" not his friend
L was literally too autistic to ever get that.
Death Note would be 1000x more interesting if you could cause collateral damage.
so true bro and the more you used it the more dark and corrupted you became like you started to grow horns and could run really fast and no one could mess with you
I think it can, it's just harder to define. Like it does things in the most convenient way. If you say "dies in a car crash", the car has to crash into something.
Isn't "Kira" just bad Japanese pronunciation of "Killer"?
>foot massage scene
>was not in the original manga
what did they mean by this?
Biblical reference
Botched biblical reference. Jesus never washed Judas feet, he washed the other 11 apostles feet after sending Judas away
Realistically, would anyone have noticed a bunch of criminals dying from heart attacks if Light didn't start taking credit for them?
Researchers would probably do a statically analysis and conclude that crime elevates stress and increases your risk of heart attack.
Yeah, and they would probably stop releasing information on criminals to the public as a precaution, realize someone within the Japanese police force has access to criminal databases of Japan, investigate and catch light
>realize someone within the Japanese police force has access to criminal databases of Japan, investigate and catch light
That was pretty much how L figured out Light was Kira. The only thing that they were missing was figuring out how the killings happened which they were about to do when Rem intervened. It's kind of moronic the task force stopped investigating Light just because L died without Light using the notebook, he STILL should have been the prime suspect.
Also, realistically, due process would be thrown out of the window in such a case. Light would just disappear in a black bag or something.
Have you seen the cope about vaxxed deaths? People will be denying it while they are digging graves for their relatives because nobody is left to do it.
2 more weeks
>make the criminals write "safe and effective" on the walls of their jail cells before they have a heart attack 2 weeks later
good luck L
Considering Light was enough of a dipshit to do it in a way that L could figure out where he was from, yeah, probably.
>exclusively killing fricking shits in your local neighborhood to clean up your town
kind of based actually
>write all deaths as vaccine deaths
>government covers it all up and runs defense for you
No one notices thousands of people dying from heart attacks thanks to the vac so probably not
Near and Mello section is better in the manga. The anime just rushed things.
in the manga there are just massive text walls for their parts that were a slog
what would a life note do?
Make people sexually aroused obviously. You could use it to get any girl to want to make babies with you
why would L feel lonely when he has near and mello who are equally smart?
Because Near and Mello didn't exist until the writer realized he fricked up killing L when he didn't want the story to end yet
he didn't seem that friendly with them. they were just some kids being trained to follow in his footsteps.
Kino
is the death note transphobic? would you have to dead name a person to kill transfolk?
>I feel you're the first friend that I have ever had.
Will Graham and Hannibal Lecter moment
garbage tranime
>I'll take a potato chip
>AND EAT IT
>they tell Light that his bedroom is on video surveillance
>looks at a lewd magazine on camera
He was obviously posturing and that should've been a dead give away that he's mocking the observers.
How he even got to the point where he had police cameras in his fricking bedroom proves how much of a moron Light actually was
Imagine the smell.
probably terrible considering all the junk food he eats
>Have a black best buddy
>He is a weeb
>Really into L for some reason and pissed that the live action cast a black guy instead of a White pretty boy
I was okay with black L because the Light and Misa were so much worse. Willem Dafoe and black L were the only good parts about that dumpster fire movie.
And the ridiculous Final Destination death scenes
I had zero issue with a black L considering that the entire story was entirely removed from the manga/anime. Writing Light as an insecure b***h with zero resolve with the film's actual issue.
