Like talking about how the Serpent in Genesis was actually at least partially if not mostly a reference to a far older Egyptian concept of winged helper deities or even an angel. There being a cross-meaning for the term 'נחש', meaning both serpent, diviner, and bronze colored (as applied to deities or angels). And as a term is regularly combined with 'שרף' or Seraph, meaning burning. Seraph also being used to refer to angels themselves, obviously.
This meaning that instead of just referring to a standard serpent, it is probably actually referring to a treacherous angel and is probably again stolen from Egypt.
That gives you something to 'ummm ahckjualllyyyy' about that is clever, not trite and based on one chapter of Ezekiel.

Some strange, some human-like. They each have a singular purpose. Sometimes they may be disguised as a person, and you won't know it's an angel. So you're told to be on your best behavior, just in case.
