The bit where Char intercepts Revil escaping from Zeon inprisonment but let's him go is the worst offender to me. It's not enough that he's a comically hypercapable perfect ubermensch who was personally involved in every historical event at the time, he has to be the one manipulating and masterminding the whole One Year War! Origin is such a pathetic joke.
It's really funny watching 0079 after Origin, and watching the super competent perpetual rape face Char get BTFO by some autistic Space Canadian. Origin just makes it more obvious that Char peaked early in life.
These homosexuals think anything that portrays Zeon and Zeon sympathizers as anything but comically evil turbo-Nazis who drop colonies for even the slightest offense as Zeon Apologism, allowing the entire point of the series to soar a mile over their heads.

The entire point of the series was that Zeon was the bad guys and pretty much all of them are willfully evil or batshit insane. Even the "good" people like those guys who "helped" the mom and kid just dropped them off in the middle of nowhere knowing that Zeon wiped out the town that used to stand there, and Ramba Ral was pretending to be nice to Amuro knowing he was a feddie so he could track him back to the White Base, then threw a little hissy fit when Amuro bent him the frick out.
It's because you see, Gundam is a kid's show to sell toys so the villains should be silly and simple to understand! Oh but also it's statement on war bad and how there are no winners in it.
It's less jobber and more like things were played out more believably in the original series. His machine is obsolete compared to the Gundam, but his skill over Amuro gives him the ability to both pressure the newbie and survive just enough escape, then later on, when he has machines that could more practically take on the Gundam, the kid has gotten a lot more experience and skill under his belt that Char's own abilities, and not the machine's, are put into question, and now he has to catch up to Amuro.
