Gain charisma 6 for perk local leader, assign supply lines to hub (sanctuary is good)
Now all junk is shared. (supply line designation affects happiness)
Gain local leader perk 2 establish shops at settlement for extra happiness score and vendors
Plant (and assign): corn, mutfruit, and tato's + water purifier where you can: this allows you to create vegetable starch at cooking stations, this is 3 adhesive usually the rarest crafting item at start up.
Now expedite your will upon your settlers

Concerning power armor: Drain on the fusion cores is high. Use it to clear buildings and strongholds only (not for looting and exploring)
Power armor strength is 12 use buffout you are now at strength 14, invest in 1 melee and 1 blacksmith, now melee is OP, very useful against ghouls and other melee attackers (learn to time block)
Get int up to 9 for better exp farming, then later get nuclear physicist to get better fusion core longevity (int bobble at boston library)
Perks : Get medic, Gun Nut, Don't invest in semi auto perks but in full auto and explosive damage perks, in later levels enemies become absolute bullet sponges and they will rush you.
Higher difficulty is higher chance of legendary loot. Safe before a building with high level enemies, load a couple of time until you get what you want out ot legendary enemies (search load locking)
Luck determines critical hit chance, can be an absolute boon
At later levels use hit and run tactics against boss enemies, use terrain and, speed increasing armor pieces (agility)

One of my fav late game strats is going heavy on power armor.
Takes a ton of perks to get the X-01 fully updraged.
However with jetpack, target highlighting and a rocketlauncher you can basically go for a stroll in the glowing sea and mine albino deathclaws and radscoprions for legendary loot.
Whenever they get close you just fly away while performing an aerial bombardment. Very satisfying.

That's possible, but still seems sort of uncharacteristic from how they're portrayed in Fallout 1 and 2.

The ideological conflicts in Fallout (for the most part) are centered around circumstances so far removed from IRL politics that almost none of them would have contemporary equivalents. For example, I'm not particularly concerned about getting a bomb collar strapped to my neck and trapped in a casino. But if I was? I don't think Democrats, Republicans, communists, or fascists would have any real solutions for me, whereas a technocratic, isolationist warrior cult that has no comprehension of what a welfare check or an infrastructure bill is just might.

You guys actually think Todd Howard has any say or even involvement in this? Serious doubt. He probably wrote them a bunch of notes the size of a novel that not one of the soibois or trannies at Amazon even bothered to glance at. There’ll be zero input from anyone who ever created for Fallout and it’ll be at best horrible fanfiction at worst almost unrecognizable sci fi slop with the Fallout title slapped on. And if any “diehard” Falllout fans watch this you’re part of the problem too.
