I think this is missing the point though.
Though the paralells between Scirocco and Kamille are clear (one who uses others as a means to an end vs one who realizes others are the end itself), the women who buzz around Scirocco like say Reccoa and Sarah are in that position due to their own character flaws.
It’s pretty clear when contrasting Reccoa with say Emma. Whereas Emma is a character who places duty before her feelings as a woman (which is a character flaw too as it leads to her romance with Henken never coming to fruition) Reccoa places her feelings as a woman before her duty, which makes her a prime candidate to be manipulated into serving jovian wiener.
In the end the point is that people who have a shortsighted view of the world and lack a strong sense of personal ideals get easily manipulated. Jerid too fall prey to Scirocco as his selfish ambitions and willing ignorance of the nature of the conflict he’s fighting in makes him an ideal pawn to further Papaya’s plans.
