Considering our only knowladge of Minimoose and it's appearances currently is from dogshit stuff like the movie and the comic, I just associate it with garbage

Hell yeah, that would've been a great episode. Supposedly there was some talk about tweaking the ending so they could use it as a finale where Zim dies; but even without that, it was an excellent one all-around.

Season 2 was short lived. So many episodes that didn't get finished on time (Roboparents Gone Wild, Invader Poonchy, Nubs of Doom, The Return of Keef, 10 Minutes to Doom, The Trial, etc)

It's one joke that comes to a head (Dib gets angry) and then just goes back and repeats itself (Dib pays for Mortos' shit untill the end). The decent joke of the magical creature being a petty bum isn't strong enough to carry the entire cartoon.

The only flaw in the plan is that it takes a lot of rats, and that's a problem that solves itself given time.
"Gaz, Taster of Pork" is definitive proof that Dib has issues. You don't cast a spell on your asleep sister in order to see what the spell does before you try it on yourself, without even checking first if there's a way to reverse the spell.

Minimoose appearing out of nowhere and being considered as a character that already exists is pretty funny, so you take back what you lose.

I haven't read the comics but the entire run feels like a missed opportunity to continue some of the ideas from the original series. Instead of doing something with Dib being a clone of Membrane, more stuff with the Resisity or Tak or Skoodge, or whatever Jhonen was going to reveal being the reason humans on Earth were so stupid, we got shit like... Dib trying to get limited edition poop cola. Some ideas like Zib were neat but most of it was incredibly disposable and forgettable. And don't even get me started on the ending.
It fricking sucks that we'll never get anything like the original Zim ever again.
I ate up the Irken empire stuff as a kid. When the episodes were space/alien-centric, Zim was legitimately good sci-fi horror. I even liked the Foodcourtia episode. All the stuff involving Earth and the Membranes was pretty boring.
Yeah that was the original idea which we got an amazing worldbuilding with lots of interesting planets and races, and jhonen just shoved earth and membrane stuff up in boring dib's episodes, some of the comics and the fricking movie like who the frick cares about the earth, was him jhonen's second self-insert apart from his cameos dying?
I loved the space and alien stuff the most but I didn't mind the stuff on Earth or Dib at all, especially if Zim was involved. I thought it was funny to see him take certain things way too seriously because of him both over- and underestimating humans. The Dib only episodes were the episodes I cared the least about though.
