Crush on Lana and wishing you were as handsome as Clark, then a feeling of deep sad nostalgia for a time when beautiful people were shown on TV as ideals
Good for the first 4 seasons, then struggles a bit, mostly because they didn’t have the guts to just soft reboot after high school, relocate Clark to college and mostly write out Lana and his parents. Chloe Clark and Lois solving mysteries at Gotham U and writing in a pre Batman Bruce would have been great.
I think that for some reason they didn't have permission to put batman in the show or something. Warner didn't want him there for some reason, even though showrunners probably did. That's why they replaced everything batman is with green arrow, which was pretty lame in my opinion
>Warner didn't want him there for some reason, even though showrunners probably did
Batman is too big to be a second string character on a CW show. The second they brought in Batman people would be clamoring for a Batman show.
Yeah, this was prime Bale Batman years and they wouldn’t let SV use anything Bat related. Show runners say so in a commentary, Oliver was supposed to be Bruce in the early plans.
The original script for this said Lois gets mad, but the actress kept telling the director if a guy did this to girl she would basically get a little wet, so they changed it.
We all have a little teenage girl inside us. I wish it was the other way around, but it's fine either way. Anyone that follows wrestling will tell you they love it because of the stupid soap opera parts too.
The whole show's premise is about Clark keeping his super-powers a secret from the person he loves the most....that's it.
Each episode teases their romance inching ever closer, but once she gets too close, some inexplainable Deus Ex Head Trauma happens, she gets knocked out so Superboy can do his thing to defeat the monster of the week.
6 seasons of that and Lana finally figures out his secret, and suddenly the show sort of jumps the shark from there. Lana leaves the show, and all focus is on Lois which plays out as a cheap version of the older "Lois and Clark" show with Mars/Venus shit that chicks go moist over.
....it's not a bad show, something for the ladies, geek stuff for the guys....it was original for its time before the Arrowverse over-commercialize the formula getting the garbage that it was.
>and all focus is on Lois which plays out as a cheap version of the older "Lois and Clark"
How can you call Smallville the cheap version of Lois and Clark? Do you have any idea how cheap looking that show was?
I'm glad you guys told me to watch Gotham if I liked this. Super fun show. I was on the fence if I liked their version of Alfred or not, and I'm still holding off a final decision, but I think I like him. No complaints otherwise except Bruce is maaaaybe too much of a pussy and develops too slowly sometimes, but it's not really supposed to be about him. Oh, and Ivy feels a bit off too, but she gets so little screentime it's a non-issue.
Do you read the comics? I don't like floppies, but I've been wondering - is Bullock in the comics too or is it just a straight Animated Series reference making Bullock Gordon's partner?
Tom Welling and Michael Rosenbaum are doing that Talk Ville rewatch podcast and it's funny that whenever there's a steamy scene Rosenbaum tries to get Welling to admit that he got horny during filming, Welling always plays it off because he's a professional.
Lois literally got breast cancer and they don't want to cure her with kryptonian tech or superman's blood cause it would be unfair to the rest of the cancer patients.
They did the "Clark's blood is a cure for all disease" in Smallville too, but there the rationale for not sharing it with the world was him being discovered and exploited. Still kind of stupid, but you get it.
You should never have a convenient "cure all" in media. There were a lot of times Clark could have just poured his blood down people's throats to save them. Like his Dad after his heart attack.
I did like that it was used to give the Kryptonian clones powers because it "fixed" what Jor-El did to them.

It would make more sense if Kryptonian blood gave people indestructible cancer. The cells start multiplying in the host body but not even radiation and drugs can stop them, I guess you'd need kryptonite chemo.
It's sad because this was filmed in a time where you can have a 99% white cast in a t.v. show and also make sure you cast nothing but good looking people.
Legit everyone in this show is just a good looking white guy or girl. Frick I miss the 2000s. I got to be a young adult in post 9/11, no social media kino era. Zoomers will always be jealous of us millenials.
Good to bad episodes
absolute kino. I'm jelly you're watching it for the first time. I'm 34 I grew up with this , to me it's the greatest superhero tv show.
the best live action portrayal of clark kent/superman in existence, its a good show, you're in for a treat
I thought Clark looked off at first, but now I can't picture Superman without those luscious lips.
Crush on Lana and wishing you were as handsome as Clark, then a feeling of deep sad nostalgia for a time when beautiful people were shown on TV as ideals
I'm on season six right now. It's a good show with some great performances.
for me it was every scene with Lionel and Lex, god damn those 2 actors owned the role. Loved every second of them. Best Lex portrayal of all time.
We will never get good shows like this ever again.
Comfy lil Superman.
>Zoomer here, what am I in for?
Crippling debt; inability to ever afford your own home; continued breakdown of the social order.
SOUL
I join cult for she
I want a charismatic, hot procurer mommy so bad you guys.
Feeling like Lex just wants a buddy, and if Clark and his dad would just stop treating Lex like shit he would never have turned out bad.
Lex and Clark bro ship is my favourite part of early Smallville
Frickin dude looks like Vinesauce Vinny
Decent looking dude. Would explain how he was able to rape so many young girls.
Did they frick?
I'm jealous. Chloe was my childhood crush
Rosenbaum talking about filming this scene is funny.

>Times you screamed KIIIIIIIINOOOOOOOOO until you shit yourself and the neighbors called the police

Coach is mad thinking, "Why isn't Clark my wide receiver?"
I don’t if it was lighting issue or cold weather or something, but Clark’s mom ALWAYS had red spots on bother cheeks and her chin.
Not Another Teen Movie is my favorite movie of all time so this episode just had me going crazy.
The original script for this said Lois gets mad, but the actress kept telling the director if a guy did this to girl she would basically get a little wet, so they changed it.
I want this to be true so I will believe it with no further fact checking.
Here, @ 1.04
I was watching S06E15 "Freak" last night and thought "Jeez, what kind of pervert directed this episode?"
Turns out it was Rosenbaum, lmao. Stay classy, Lex.
Small like, the X Files and Supernatural were all filmed mostly in Vancouver, so it’s funny spotting all the guest actors that were in all 3.
I hate cucknadian
its a soap opera 92% of the episode
That makes it more faithful to the actual comics than all the capeshit movie adaptations.
this was my favorite show, i wouldn't miss an episode. but in hind sight. it really was geared toward female teen girls.
>this was my favorite show, i wouldn't miss an episode
Me too
We all have a little teenage girl inside us. I wish it was the other way around, but it's fine either way. Anyone that follows wrestling will tell you they love it because of the stupid soap opera parts too.
You're in for pure kino.
Is Tom chewing gum on stage because he's zooted?
No you freak
Look at his face, he was doing lines in the green room with Rosenbaum. That guy is a bad influence.
Good eye.
No he isn't
I know it's hard to admit that your heroes are fallible, but it's a part of growing up.
I'm still mad they didn't procreate
She'd a disgusting b***h, thats why
What's your problem with Kristin?
We use to be a country. A proper country.

You're welcome

Yes he is
For me, it's Martha Kent
The episode where Lionel switches bodies with Clark and gets horny for Martha as her son is kino.
I'm sad we never really got a what if episode of Lex and Clarke staying buddies into adulthood.
>I'm sad we never really got a what if episode of Lex and Clarke staying buddies into adulthood
Watch that flash episode crossover
Thanks, I will.

That sounds like peak guys being dudes.

Yeah it's pretty funny.
hundreds of filler episodes
Those were just called episodes before Tivo got popular.
no way zoomers watch some old ass tv shows
zoomers watch whatever streaming services tell them to.
What one is this being pushed on? I'd be shocked if "Max" was pushing this over Superman and Lois or one of their more recent shows.
Comfy slice of life and an amazing Lex + Lionel Luthor storyline.
Is Superman and Lois any good?
No
🙁
Lois literally got breast cancer and they don't want to cure her with kryptonian tech or superman's blood cause it would be unfair to the rest of the cancer patients.
