A trigger warning for black characters is totally fair though. I was watching a movie and a black character came on and I thought i was being robbed. It was scary

My problem is that it's so arbitrary. For example on Disney Plus (frick you too) it's incredible how inconsistent it is, episodes of Ducktales with Dijon are only considered offensives when the character is in Arabia. And sometimes, it's fricking absurd when Recess episodes are labeled offensives because the kindergarten ears dress as a nondescript jungle tribe despite having this character
The "it's offensive" warning is arbitrary, lip service by the corporations to cover their ass and of course use double standards (a hillbilly hick character in Darkwing Duck doesn't qualify as "stereotype that were wrong then and wrong now"

  22. 2 years ago

don't see how this is any different from when they say "this may not be suitable for young viewers, viewers discretion advised. This just looks like the updated zoomer version

Woke shows exchange political messaging for quality and therefore are generally not worth the watch; this also serves to deprive the people making the propaganda of money that otherwise might be spent on it. Usually there is no emotion involved in this judgement.
Trigger warnings are in place to insulate pathetic morons from words and actions that they are unable to handle because they are brought up to be as weak and slavish as possible.
There's your difference, now frick off. Both sides le same posting is idiotic as it is disingenuous.
