homie, Gen Z still contains a lot of young-ass people as young as like 10-11.

        [...]
I was born in 1989, but even I know that most younger generations aren't really going to know physical media much at all. Hell, even Blu-ray is basically dead. Nobody owns disc players of any kind anymore except some vidya consoles, 100% of people just stream their shit on like 12 different streaming services and complain about not having money.
My computer hasn't even had a connected disc drive in at least ten years, I think Diablo 2's still in it, and the one (1) time I ever had the urge to connect it was back when I was too lazy to try doing a liveboot USB of a Linux distro, when I was going to use Linux for some troubleshooting.
Frick, USB drives are basically dead too for most normalgays.

        [...]
Frick skub, I'm glad our local Walgreens stopped stocking it, those fricking goblin skubgays kept shitting up the store every time I'm there to pick up meds for my grandparents.

And..? You think old tech just stops existing? VHS players were still common into the late 2000s, you think someone born then would have never seen a DVD?

These can hardly even be considered gen Z. Even then, someone this age has likely seen or heard of a DVD

Yes we know what a fricking DVD is, hell I'm old enough to remember VHS before they fully bit the dust. Anything older is out of my league though. LaserDiscs seemed cool.

I hate people (you) that say this shit about zoomers. You out of touch fricking idiot. Most zoomers grew up with game consoles that, no surprise, ran on disks. You go to any store and there's a whole bunch of DVDs for sale everywhere. At least in the past anyway. I personally had a lot of DVDs as a kid and just to name a few, I remember having the first three seasons of spongebob, as well as all of the Madagascar movies.

Then why do they act surprised, that movies from the 2000s aren't in black and white? Go watch ANY young youtube reactor that watches movies from the 2000s and earlier. You will constantly see bricks being shit because they look so modern and still "hold up"

Our rotten society has for decades encouraged children to be self-centered little shits which leads to a disbelief that anything that came before them could possibly be good.

Can we stop pretending zoomers don't know what normal shit is? Most zoomers probably grew up on DVDs and poor ones even grew up on VHS. Even ones that are super young pretty much fetishize the aesthetics of the late 90s/early 00s, so they know what these things are even if they grew up on streaming and YouTube.

As others have already said theres a fairly large subsection of zoomers that have used VHS tapes before including me. I actually watched a weird anime on one before, but my mother sold them all at one point so ill never know what it was. Also used to burn pirated movies onto DVDs and stuff, and Blockbuster was pretty sick
