With this one, even versions where he isn't playing the character they get a sound-alike or look-alike. And the comic book character just became him. That's fricking dominance.

In fairness, they do the same thing with every iteration of Iron Man too.

No it didn't. The ultimate version of Nick Fury was based on Sam Jackson in the condition that if there was a movie adaptation, he would play the role.
Yeah, you win that one. Easily.
Sometimes an actor kills a role so much that no one can ever step into it again.
At the risk of being accused of being cringey, I would like to see beefy Simmons in an outfit showing off his arms in a cameo in the Deadpool and Wolverine movie as some sort of Alex Jones type energy announcer for Cassandra Nova, chomping cigars and screaming into a mic during the Mad Max style fights in the vehicles. Think the guitar freak on the truck that just wants to shred but Simmons instead.
Dunno, seems fun, and the movie is going for that vibe.

Dunno man. Simmons hamming it up as a dark version of J Jonah Jameson ring announcer type seems kinda fun. Or Bruce Campbell, if they want to get cute.
He was cast as a last-minute replacement. He worked out and bulked up quite a bit over the course of filming, so he looks quite a bit more ripped in the cage fight scene which was shot toward the end
Yet another Joker/Harley film that doesn't get what the Joker/Harley relationship is about. It looks like shit. I will go see Deadpool & Wolverine though because it actually looks fun.
>Yet another Joker/Harley film that doesn't get what the Joker/Harley relationship is about.
Nobody cares, dude. Most people just care about the aesthetics and to them, Joker and Harley look great together.
>Le jokar de flopie a la deuce
Not even close. There is barely any hype for this unnecessary sequel. You can see it. Joker posting was insane the last 3 months before its release.
Jackman is one of those actors that I really like and seems cool but he won't stop staring in cringe shit like he is actually super gay and he does it because of blackmail or because he has so much drug dept
His short facial hair and short head hair really annoys me and takes me out of the flick. Should have had his Days of Future Past look. He was older in that movie but rocked the look. Thicker hair and mutton chops looked good. This looks fricking stupid. Also why intentionally make them look their age? They even aged up Carrey and Daniels in Dumb and Dumber 2 when they actually looked good in real life.
If it flops capeshit is dead for at least 5 -10 years. Proves audiences are sick of the genre and theyll have to wait a generation to reboot. Nothing of value will be lost.
But, honestly, even marvel know it’s dying. Doubling down on dumbfrick multiverse and quantum blahbah and silver surfer world destroyed shit is pure comic nerd stupid lore territory that mainstream audiences don’t give a frick about.
Jim has two more Avatars that will completely suck profits out of two summers. Maybe studios will finally greelight an interesting blockbuster.
these weird collabs remind me of how collateral debt obligations are made. take a bunch of fumed out shit that doesn´t sell anymore and wrap it together
They were the only ones that could've done it. With the Avengers gone (the one that matter anyway) the MCU was left with no one to replace them, so the X-Men were the only ones up to the task, since it's a) a proven successful franchise and b) highly popular for decades.
Not the FF, not the Thunderbolts, not any other team in Marvel's existence.
In live action, most of the X-Men movies didn't come close to the bigger MCU movies or Spider-Man. The ones without Jackman didn't do that well, and Deadpool outperformed them all. This movie is likely to be the high water mark of anything X-Men related in the MCU.
tbqh it seems really misguided to make a huge deal out of bringing back Huge Jackedman Wolverine, it's like they're giving up the potential of a proper new MCU version of X-Men in favor of short-term "YOU RECOGNIZE THE THING, RIGHT?1" box office success that isn't sustainable.
It's been 7 years since Logan, if they did a good job with introducing a new actor as Wolverine right now people would accept it, but no, they're pushing that back indefinitely and instead giving us shitty CGI Kelsey Grammer Beast etc
>short-term "YOU RECOGNIZE THE THING, RIGHT?1"
That's what the MCU's entire Multiverse Saga is built on, the idea that casual normie audiences have massive nostalgia for all those old pre-MCU Marvel movies and it would just be like a victory lap but instead it's been part of the MCU's downward spiral.
>Back when Marvel went bankrupt the only IP making any money were Spider-Man and the X-Men >Now that the MCU is in the dumper they had to bring back Sony's Spider-Men and Fox's X-Men
Like pottery, it rhymes
For the comics themselves, Spider-Man wasn't actually doing that great during the bankruptcy years, he was stuck in a slump for years after the Clone Saga. Even the whole "X-books kept Marvel alive" narrative isn't really true, people pretend the Heroes Reborn books weren't outselling all but three of the them so they can insist nobody cared about any of those characters until the MCU.
He didn't, Deadpool just goes to him prior to the events of Logan.
It might be a whole new multiverse variant of Wolverine who we haven't seen before.
The new trailer makes it sound like Deadpool has encountered a lot of different Wolverines
Reminder he was only 32 in X-men 1.
>this was super human body 24 years ago
forgot pic
That's the type of build the old school actors like Reeves had. Too bad everything is roidtroony shit now.
he was just a dude living in a camper beating up drunks. it'd be weirder if he was already roided out from the get-go.
in the brief period after 80s action movies but before modern capeshit when every Hollywood star wasn't roided to shit
Has anyone else asserted so total dominance over a role?
RDJ as Iron Man
Yea but RDJ is a manlet and it takes me out of the movie.
Wolverine is supposed to be a manlet and Jackman isn’t and that takes me out of the movie.

Frick yes.
Yes, my role as your step-father as I dominate your mom every night (in the butt)
Viggo Mortensen as Aragorn.
>replaces cyclops as main character
Wolverine was always the main character of X-Men.
He wasn't even the second main character in Claremont's run.
Nobody cares about your poorly aged Shakespearean Storm fetish comics, Chris.
No it was always cyGOD in the comics
lmao what a fricking dyel
how were these people not ashamed to get their shirts off?
He was cast as a last-minute replacement. He worked out and bulked up quite a bit over the course of filming, so he looks quite a bit more ripped in the cage fight scene which was shot toward the end
He took the role on short notice after they had already started filming
This will make a lot of money because of nostalgia slop and cameos like spiderman (don’t rewatch that flick, it’s so bad)
and because of the Reynolds-Jackman irl relationship
LET'S FRICKING GO FR FR
not so fast
ah yes the joker musical, the thing no one ever asked for
I bet this is going to be fricking wild.
Yet another Joker/Harley film that doesn't get what the Joker/Harley relationship is about. It looks like shit. I will go see Deadpool & Wolverine though because it actually looks fun.

>ONLY I UNDERSTAND THESE CHARACTERS REEEEEE
Release the Ayers cut. He filmed the relationship as abusive and sexually/mentally fricked up. Apparently MethodLeto really got into it with Robbie.
Or don't release the Ayer cut, if it would glorify Jared Leto's predatory real life behavior as something cool/edgy/villainous
It is abusive, but the twist is Harley is the abusive one this time.
which lamebrained using a beard as makeup grifter on yt did you get this opinion from?
Joker looks fun, I couldn't care less about Reynolds or wolverine, got enough of jackedman and Reynolds was only funny in Blade 3.
>lady gaga

this has flop written all over it
It won’t do as good as the first but come on now
I wouldn't doubt of it becoming the highest grossing musical (if you don't count disney movies), but I don't think its gonna reach a billion.
>but I don't think its gonna reach a billion.
i dunno man, lady gaga has a huge fanbase
Joker 2019 + A Star Is Born 2018 = $1.4 billion
Simple innit
It came out two weeks ago? Why tf wasn't I informed?
Amerimutt date format
>Googoo Gaga
>musical
Sorry anon, I'm not homosexual enough to enjoy this movie.
Jackman is one of those actors that I really like and seems cool but he won't stop staring in cringe shit like he is actually super gay and he does it because of blackmail or because he has so much drug dept
Hes a theather kid, he loves doing musicals and shit
That’s a cool poster.
average 4chins user’s reaction to when whatever new anime made for pedophiles is out

It’s for the mask he’ll wear. I’d imagine having the big hair is not so comfortable when wearing it.
They need him to look old so Deadpool can make jokes about it. Same reason they aged up Carrey and Daniels for Dumb and Dumber 2.

good morning, rajeesh. snyder is never coming back to DC.

wolverine looks weird without the shoulder pads when he is sleeveless.
AI make this? why are the claws so fricked up and out of perspective?
didnt he retire from the role?
why are all actors such prostitutes wtf, the romans were right about them
>didnt he retire from the role?
did you just wake up from a coma? the internet is a thing now, you fricking moron.
i dunno man they said frick one time too much for my taste in the trailer
but it does sounds interesting
I want to like it but it looks cheap as frick.
this and the fantastic four movie are supposed to save the MCU
Yay!

He will, but this is supposed to be the DOFP/Logan Wolverine.
So when do they start revealing the cameos? On the next trailer?
Today's trailer revealed Lady Deathstrike and Azazel are there, though you can't tell if it's the same actors
Just watched the trailer. This will save the MCU/capeshit genre.
The MCU is resorting to nostalgia at this point.
This will be more of the same, but with "frick" every other quip.
Only deadpool is r rated the rest will still be PG
