I couldn't get through the first three minutes of chel dorado. Bad fricking movie, it sucked so much. I hate it, I really do. Now I haven't seen all of the dreamworks movies but I know that one specifically is bad as well.
checked, Jim Carrey was also supposed to voice Bowler Man until he got a movie deal with something called 73 i think. >meet the robinsons is great as well
RJ is pretty much the antagonist, he literally ruins the lives of everyone he interacts with >Acquainted with Vincent yet steals ALL his food while he's hibernating, at most he could have taken one or two things >Promises to help the woodland creatures only to cross them for the debt he owes to Vincent and was almost ok with having them all killed >Humans are in the right to want the vermin gone as they literally steal and the destroy everything in their neighbourhood
Basically everyone would be better off if RJ didn't exist
True but that's kinda the point of the movie, a selfish butthole becoming a selfless family man.

>movie criticizes consumerism, suburbia, and habitat destruction >still comes off as being a vapid movie for older children
Honestly, it is kind of weird how the 2000s sometimes feel like height of consumerism, and yet this and sprawl have only increased since then. You would think that Over the Hedge would be more relevant today than ever, but maybe more of the things that folks would have otherwise owned being digital now has impacted the consumer hoarder self-image of Americans.
Over the Hedge somehow being ahead of it's time in a way.
>Antz >The Prince of Egypt >The Road to El Dorado >Joseph: King of Dreams (DVD/VHS) >Shrek >Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron >Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas >Shrek 2 >Shark Tale >Madagascar >Over the Hedge
Easily one of the best animation movies by DreamWorks at the time.
>The Road to El Dorado
(Ah yes Chel)
Nick Nolte? He's still alive at the ripe age of 83.

That's why I said reboot, not sequel (also because of demented Bruce). The comic strip has endearing characters and I'd like to see them rendered in Dreamworks' new style. Movie wouldn't need the same plot.
i was surprised to find out about it as the credits were showing comic strips. although you can't compare a weekly strip to what they build for this movie plot. yet it was thanks to this movoe i discover ben folds and bought his discography

yeah ben folds really put in the work for that movie's soundtrack.
Do yall want to be animals to be with heather or stella or think you can be a human and bribe them with food or some shit
I've always thought it was hilarious to see ships and friendships with these animals and humans because of their past, actions and motivations. 101 dalmatian street dogs hate humans too.
Aye, i wish i could find one ginger tomboy big tiddy gf. >at least i'm making a slow cooker pork with spices, hot sauce, beer, carrots, red onion, white onion and peppers.
They actually gave licensed games a budget back then because they sold so many copies. Once app games came around kids just played those so licensed games fricking died, so the ones they do make now are far and few between and usually the worst shit imaginable because all the budgets go into bloated AAA liquid garbage games instead + their overpriced DLC.
>What is that?! >That, my friend, is a magical combination of corn flour, dehydrated cheese solids, BHA, BHT and good old MSG, a.k.a, the chip. Nacho cheese flavor
>That, my friends, is the object of all human attention and devotion, and they call it a TV. Humans feel an inner need to connect with the world around them. They also feel a need to sit on their fat butts. Watching TV fulfills both needs at the same time
Gotta love RJ
So, what? Every Dreamworks movie is an absolute masterpiece EXCEPT for Shrek 2? Is that it?
Yes.
Every Dreamworks movie is an absolute masterpiece EXCEPT for Sharktale.
I couldn't get through the first three minutes of chel dorado. Bad fricking movie, it sucked so much. I hate it, I really do. Now I haven't seen all of the dreamworks movies but I know that one specifically is bad as well.
I would say they have more meh or shit then good sadly
agreed, kung fu panda 4 was embarrassing.
They did well in replacing Jim Carrey for Bruce Willis.
checked, Jim Carrey was also supposed to voice Bowler Man until he got a movie deal with something called 73 i think.
>meet the robinsons is great as well
>Here, can you take the remote before my dad does?
Heather is cute
Heather is so pretty, I had a huge crush on her when I was a teenager
>Gets food stolen
>Willing to forgive RJ before the food is destroyed
>Just wants his food back
>This somehow makes him a villain
shut up vincent no one likes you
You have until the full moon RJ before I kill you
I want to brush his black, shiny fur as I sleep next to him in his cave.
all the food was stolen to begin with so he has no right to it
True, but he's a fricking bear, rules don't really apply to him
I played the PS2 version but never finished the game. Does he get the food back?
he joins the family and becomes their protector.
True but that's kinda the point of the movie, a selfish butthole becoming a selfless family man.
I think you will like the video game.
i think his voice actor is dead
Nick Nolte? He's still alive at the ripe age of 83.
Probably got him confused with John Hurt
I had the gameboy advanced game for some reason. I think I even 100 percented it so it must have been really easy.
sounds kino

The skunk ruined me, now I have a fart and buttplug fetish.
Same, they should really be careful with what they show kids
I would have used my own cork in her ass during that scene... if you know what I mean
Ew sorry homie
She should’ve kept the bangs over her eyes, looked way better with them.
You would think that those fetishes would cancel each other out.
I had such a crush on her as a kid, probably where my love of skunk girls came from
>skunk girls
I am scared to ask
You are wise to be cautious, anon. You may not like the answer.
Some anon is gonna post some anyway
based
Thanks, same to you
The humans were completely justified trying to get rid of the vermin
I like Vincent.

Definitely one of the very first things that come to mind whenever Over the Hedge is brought up
>movie criticizes consumerism, suburbia, and habitat destruction

>The Road to El Dorado
(Ah yes Chel)
Oh that's good.
criticizes consumerism, suburbia, and habitat destruction
Not once does it do these things.
Yes it does morono
How?
Throughout the film, consumerism, suburbia, and habitat destruction are criticized.
Great soundtrack.
If they dont give us a sequel or show this decade then idc if dreamworks dies and rots
Yes disney should too
for me, its avril lavigne possum
I fantasized about being a possum and getting kidnapped and probed by the verminator today at 430

I wish they'd reboot this one
I wish your kind wasn't the majority. There's beauty in having a solid film with a solid ending and no forced continuation. Less is more sometimes.

>The comic strip has endearing characters and I'd like to see them rendered in Dreamworks' new style.
There was a comic about Over the Hedge?
Over the Hedge was based on a comic
oh i did not know that
Feels good to know I have Hammy's support.

This one has great format and history for it and nice characters too. Wanted one since i was a child.

Only if you're a moron.
Dreamworks seems to be very hit and miss at the moment so idk...
They always have been, that's no lie.
Takes place in Indiana 10/10
Is Indiana cool?
Yeah
checked; it seems nice i've heard skunks, raccoons and possums are very common.
>dat ass shake
>Wanda Sykes farting super bad
this is what you like?
WE'RE ROCKIN' THE SUBURBS
AROUND THE BLOCK JUST ONE MORE TIME
I lose it everytime her eyes eject out of her eye sockets, holy shit.
>"It's not my fault officer I only bought the thing!"
I want to frick that skunk.
Well it taught me that turtles are reptiles.
>DO YOU HAVE A DEGREE FROM VERMTECH?
THAT WAS HIS MISTAKE
LEL schaff good one
This and open season apparently had some weird animated comic series from something called ringtales.
The girl opossum was cute.
I want to play with her paws.
I remember the PS2 game, there was a lot more effort put into it than your usual licensed title
Yesss need me a remaster. Everyone who likes oth or platformers needs to play the gc one.

Bonnie Arnold was the producer. She also produced Tarzan and the HTTYD trilogy.

This movie was my fricking childhood, used to watch it on DVD in my bed while trying to go to sleep.
