He's being disingenuous because the only reason the movie featured Reynolds and Biel so much is because Snipes was being a drama queen the whole time and not learning his lines and being uncooperative. Every story from the set of that movie is about how awful he was to work with, so no wonder the actual usable material they came away with is Jessica Biel eye candy and Ryan Reynolds quips. This is the first time I have ever heard anyone defend Wesley Snipes behavior on that set, and the defense comes down to "b-b-b-but wypipo!"

It was something about his prosthetics and costume making him angry. He often didn't hang out with the rest of the cast, but his stunt double did because they were much closer with him and John. He was a grumpy old man.
