Liked his art and his breakdown of how a medieval archer functioned. Any other stuff like that focusing on history in detail?

Judging by the big noses and round curves, its french. Probably some Uderzo-Goscinny slop

Fun fact: there's a French artist that took his name from this character because he kind of looks like him in real life. Pretty solid artist too.

Age of Bronze is a retelling of the Trojan War with a bend towards trying to keep things historically appropriate even if it's based off mythology.

Are the Napoleonic Wars pre-industrial enough for you? If so, Berezina.

Conquests has ancient Scythians, Hittites, Egyptians, but it's a bit more fanciful than realistic.

Ira Dei is set in the 1040s, the Byzantine-Norman wars.

Lilith isn't completely translated (probably never will since Kakanian and Tanim don't scanlate anymore) and it does have time travel and aliens and superpowers, BUT when Lilith travels in time, it's usually to some pre-industrial war.

The Egyptian Princesses has some ancient Egyptian battling.

Is there no Bible comic other than Crumb's where the garden of Eden nudity is uncensored

Didn't Simon Bisley illustrate the Bible? I can't imagine The Biz NOT inserting wiener and balls into the Bible.

I think you're thinking of Shamanism/Danse des Temps by Baranko. They used Wakan Tanka and some dreamy, time-travel magic to create an alternate universe.

There is also We, the Dead/Nous, les Morts where the Black Plague somehow turns into a zombie plague, all of Europe turn into undead who can still think, but go nuts if a living person is near them. They stagnate for 666 years and the great superpowers are China, who have flying machines and guns and conquer the monkey-men (Japan), and the Inca who rule the americas with the various Indian tribes, Maya and Aztecs subjugated. The first 2 volumes are pretty promising, but it gets quite shitty from then on.

Oh and there is also Luxley, which I would like to scanlate, but the scans are pretty bad.

During the Third Crusade, an alliance of Maya, Aztecs and others invade an undefended Europe (magic and prophecy play a role) and Robin Hood fights a guerrilla war against them.

Why aren't they dying of disease

Should be on libgen. I don't recall if they ever touched on the disease angle, probably too focused on the fighting. If they did, I'm sure it would have just been 'a wizard did it'.
