>The few white characters are evil, stupid, weak, old and/or cringe
Stellan Skarsgard is the most badass and heroic character so far. Also half the evil cops are non-white.
Anon, those cops are pretty much the NA cops who are either so bored of their jobs or thirsty to show guys in the lower food chain who's the boss. >ep1
The boss of the officer reporting the two deaths, literally told him to stfu since their region/area responsible are more or less tamed. And that the two guys deserved it.
He even mentioned the deed was ON them not from the mc, plus going after him would probably take too much time for something negligible as returns. >ep2
The foot soldier coming to the officer saying something along the lines of "its time to show them who they're messing with". Bruh.
This could've gotten a pass but good lord all of it is just shit writing and wonky ass pacing.
>him being badass
I agree but looking back he didn't really do any shit. If anything its all just decent lines. And that just tells you how much of a shitass or meh this series so far
>that's scene with the bf shouting and getting shot >that shitty writing of the officer going hardcore just to find literal WHO >that plotline of the imperial box and the supposedly mother
It may be better than bobafett but this is nowhere close to mandalorian. Obi wan is the average out of all those 4.
Andor will be going downhill after these 3 shit episodes.
That scene with the cassi calling his bot to say sorry just in time for the officers to track him.
That one radar wagie guy getting a shady job from the cringe white guy but not telling the whole deal to the higher officer/boss.
Timmy drunk calling cops..
Everything is pretty much as stupid, cliche, and dumb as you can imagine it will be. Literally the first plot was cassi going on a mission to find his long lost sister... Fricking hell.
>that's scene with the bf shouting and getting shot >that shitty writing of the officer going hardcore just to find literal WHO >that plotline of the imperial box and the supposedly mother
It may be better than bobafett but this is nowhere close to mandalorian. Obi wan is the average out of all those 4.
Andor will be going downhill after these 3 shit episodes.
Nah. At the very least, Obi-Wan and Boba Fett didn't feel like random sci-fi shows with the Star Wars brand slapped on. For all their flaws, I never felt myself checking out as much as I did here. Maybe it'll get better, but who knows?
>At the very least, Obi-Wan and Boba Fett didn't feel like random sci-fi shows with the Star Wars brand slapped on.
IMO it's because Obi-Wan and Boba Fett were so terrible, with sub-amateur writing like unusually bad fan fiction, that they would never have been approved without the Star Wars brand association.
i completely skipped the scenes on jungle brazil planet. i knew they didn't matter to the plot, and that they were just flashbacks
otherwise, the writing is meh, the script isnt great but it could be a lot worse
hopefully the pace picks up because the 3 episodes were boring as frick
hopefully bootstrap bill ends up staying a main character and not getting offed soon
brown girl is cute
>It's too slow-paced
it's a thriller, a slow burn is good
and it's actually a good slow burn, with a steady rising tension and actual procedure and cause/effect behind character actions. Though I will agree the flashbacks dragged the pacing a little, I thought it unnecessary for the most part
>better than boba fett, obi wan
Yep. Though that might be damning with faint praise. What we've seen so far is enjoyable and Star-Warsy. The sets and the music are both leagues above what we've seen in other series.
It doesn't go "member Luke, member Yoda, member Naboo fighter, member Obi Wan, member Vader" etc, and tells its own story, and dares to be fully serious and be a proper drama.
You're a moron.
Its 2022 and since disney released their tv series in dplus i can pretty much tell that there are tiers of how much shit other series are.
The worst of the worst tier are bobba fett and she hulk.
>ilIllegal space mexican living under fake alias, kills space cops and steals space car parts >How did disney get away with this?
By making him the main protagonist. It's a ((deliberate)) endorsement of his actions.
When did every planet in SW universe become third world slum or jungle ooga booga tribe? And all populated by only POC. Also, no aliens except as background extras. Was it always like this or did it start with Disney?
This, the opening planet was good but please for the love of god no more grunge environments. And I just saw the first episode and this was not a good episode to hook people holy shit. We got no empire or politics stuff when half the show is supposed to be that from the trailers. Instead we’re getting “the corporation?”
It’s Disney. They took the rlm-tier meme that Star Wars’ visual design is good because it looks lived in (true but hardly everything) and then flanderized it
I'm just glad it at least looks good, doesn't have terrible soap opera music playing 24/7, has good acting and overall is shot way better than the other shows. I don't know if it's intentional but I'm getting Antifa vibes from the rebels in this show and I hope that's supposed to make me see the Rebels as not all good.
If you see anyone trying to claim this isn't leagues better than every Disney+ show post-season one Mandalorian, you can rest assured you're dealing with a moron. Save for some annoying pacing this actually feels like a show made by real human beings with actual effort put into it.
ok i watched all 3 and... why... there... is just... nothing... going on? he just endlessly meets up with people he knows.... has small talk... on the run... shot a couple guys.... okay????
>Zoomzoom
no, compare it to mando and obi-wan. each show had a clear mcguffin from the first episode: the mystery of baby yoda and reva's hunt for obiwan. this show is 3 episodes in and its only HINTING at the chance that their MIGHT be some PLOT somewhere down the road...
>Why would I compare it to the worst show I've seen in ages?
because they're both star wars shows made by the exact same studio using shared resources and "talent"? and as shit as obi-wan was, this is shaping up to be 'more of the same' or possibly even WORSE. so far this show has NOTHING. at least that sheboon got a few laughs out of me.
>le dystopian, futuristic, keep your head low and dont be a target in a super dangerous world trope >grey, dreary environments to keep with le gritty theme >non orchestral cringewave soundtrack >overdone accents >literal whos im supposed to care about just because >mundane workers changing shifts at shit job >what job you ask? oh right, SCRAPING, the apparent backbone industry of the star wars galaxy >middle managers at wherethefrick ever >stupid blue and orange lined middle manager uniforms that look like they belong in the stargate universe
if i wanted generic sci fi universe then, sure this is fine, i guess. but i dont, i want star wars. i want space wizards with well defined power rankings making major moves that shape the affairs of literally everything in the galaxy. not some slightly above slice of life goyslop that you stick into any shitty sci fi setting.
Nope, too late. Didn't bother with Boba Fett or Obi-Wan either. I was over it with TFA, and legitimately done with it after TLJ. Only saw RoS and Mandalorian because friends/family
Not sure why I'm meant to care about what's going on. MC is charmless, dull and just kind of pathetic. Why do I care if he finds his sister who I know nothing about? Then there's the corpo autist who wants to find him because he's got a stick up his ass. Two eps in but unless ep 3 basically makes the MC vageuly likeable and gives me a great reason to care about the sister, and her predicament, I don't see anything good about it apart from the visuals and general tone.
>Why do I care if he finds his sister who I know nothing about? Then there's the corpo autist who wants to find him because he's got a stick up his ass.
Lol true
This show is how i imagine the original cut of Star Wars was before Lucas' wife fixed it. There's some kino buried in all of this superfluous jibber jabbering.
The primitive kids thing definitely is way too drawn out, though I guess that story line did have a pretty good conclusion and tie in with modern events at the end there, like he's a kid who was destined to be on the run, all that.
>ungabunga
I think they're supposed to be remnants/descendants of some crashed ship or something, no? They're all wearing tattered versions of the same yellow/orange jumpsuit. I don't think they're literally supposed to be some native all children society. All the adults just died.
It's good (7/10) so far. It's quite slow in the start. It's a breath of fresh air after the shit show the sequels were. It doesn't feel like a modern adaptation of Star Wars. The black characters aren't forced or on the nose. I liked the empire officers, they are more fleshed out than the typical "we are bad because we are" villains.
I wouldn't buy a disney subscription for this tho, just torrent it.
Honestly? Its shills. Its people literally paid to post about how good a show is and do whatever they can do convince people to watch it, up to and including shitting on their own bosses other series.
This one genuinely is hands down way better than all the other shit they made so far. You can't really blame fans for being skeptical though, after all Disney has done to destroy the franchise.
I really liked it but I still wouldn't come out and say that it's a good series, as there's like 9 episodes to go so there's plenty of time for them to frick the whole thing up.
If i was a star wars creator, i'd make it so that all blasters had rifled barrels. Just to frick with your dorky ass, because I found your post annoying.
You're telling me this better than boba fett, obi wan and most Mandalorian episodes?
All of those are trash. This show is the first decent Disney plus show period
>75% of the characters are MUH POCs
>The few white characters are evil, stupid, weak, old and/or cringe
What did they mean by this?
The fat sergeant in this is my favorite character so far
>The few white characters are evil, stupid, weak, old and/or cringe
Stellan Skarsgard is the most badass and heroic character so far. Also half the evil cops are non-white.
Are the cops really the bad guys? They're just doing their jobs, investigating a double murder.
You're right, they're not bad.
Anon, those cops are pretty much the NA cops who are either so bored of their jobs or thirsty to show guys in the lower food chain who's the boss.

But Mon Mothma, Luthean Real, and Andor are all white.

FRICK OFF SHILL, GO FRICK YOURSELF
You literally say this every time a new star wars show comes out
As TV of the last 20 years goes, it's not great but decent. Which is a major step up by nu-wars standards.
It's too slow-paced, and if it wasn't Star Wars I would have dropped it. But it's otherwise good. Production values, acting, and writing are strong.
It elicits (rides the coat tails of) the OT -- that's the single arrow in tis quiver; as it was for RO.
>It's too slow-paced
it's a thriller, a slow burn is good
and it's actually a good slow burn, with a steady rising tension and actual procedure and cause/effect behind character actions. Though I will agree the flashbacks dragged the pacing a little, I thought it unnecessary for the most part
Inserting frozen turds into freshly de-eyed orbital sockets, is better than those schlock.
>better than boba fett, obi wan
Yep. Though that might be damning with faint praise. What we've seen so far is enjoyable and Star-Warsy. The sets and the music are both leagues above what we've seen in other series.
Yes.
It doesn't go "member Luke, member Yoda, member Naboo fighter, member Obi Wan, member Vader" etc, and tells its own story, and dares to be fully serious and be a proper drama.
I’m sorry it’s such a pile of shit
So it’s not woke?
100% WOKE
FULL OF POCs
WHITES IN IT ARE ALL A JOKE—the fat buffoon with the thick Scottish accent being the worst
The Nordic Kinomachine Stellan Skarsgaard's character is great.
I’m sorry that I refuse to watch anything post EU cancellation
The expanded universe had it's own special brand of moronation, but I would have pruned it rather than throwing it out entirely.
Mate the books were fricking shit let’s be honest lol
DIALOG IS SO BAD
Full of British slang, brit accents, Scottish accents—no effort to create unique SW EU accents
No effort to create a unique vernacular for the SW EU, instead just use common American words like cops, kids, chicks, gun, etc.
funny how british accent was a mark of the empire in the eu
>Prequels tell us that the Empire is only 18 years old.
>The Imperials have developed their own distinct accent in that time.
Black folk invent new slang every year
>Full of British slang
the whole theme of the show is that the empire = the british empire
British is associated with grittyness.
They really need to make a show that doesn't have a main character as the title.
so why should i watch this if i know he is never going to get Ersobussy and dies on a fricking beach being friendzoned?
Fell asleep in episode 3. Nothing happened for as much as I watched. Worst Disney series next to Moon Knight easily.
I haven't seen Moon Knight but I have a hard time believing it or Andor are worse than She-Hulk or Obi-Wan.
Unfortunately true.
You're a moron.
Its 2022 and since disney released their tv series in dplus i can pretty much tell that there are tiers of how much shit other series are.
The worst of the worst tier are bobba fett and she hulk.
Counter point: it is you who is in fact moronic.
No. Frick your yidsney goyslop

By making him the main protagonist. It's a ((deliberate)) endorsement of his actions.
But being mexican is an american tradition.
>The cops can't drink alcohol or enjoy some trim
Why would you ever be an Empire cop?
When did every planet in SW universe become third world slum or jungle ooga booga tribe? And all populated by only POC. Also, no aliens except as background extras. Was it always like this or did it start with Disney?
Apologise.
I kneel georgie
We'll see if the Coruscant scenes change that up a bit.
This, the opening planet was good but please for the love of god no more grunge environments. And I just saw the first episode and this was not a good episode to hook people holy shit. It’s Disney. They took the rlm-tier meme that Star Wars’ visual design is good because it looks lived in (true but hardly everything) and then flanderized it
>NOOOO LOW INCOME AREAS CANT LOOK LOW INCOME
vetch is /ourguy/
WOW IS THAT A TOSCHE STATION WITH SOME POWER CONVERTERS ON THE WALL???
Tbh that’s what really bothered me. I remember on naboo there were tonnes of aliens and droids. The city in andor looks like any town North Africa
Boyega put on some weight.
>WHY ARE THERE NO ALIENS
Probably because i'd wager 95% of it is stuff they re-used from the Tattooin sets used in The Mandalorian, Boba Fett and Kenobi
So how many episodes until they add something really shit tier? Like a MAGA rally or something.
I'm just glad it at least looks good, doesn't have terrible soap opera music playing 24/7, has good acting and overall is shot way better than the other shows. I don't know if it's intentional but I'm getting Antifa vibes from the rebels in this show and I hope that's supposed to make me see the Rebels as not all good.
i refuse to watch any more star wars prequels frick off with this nostalgia baiting trash franchise make something new you hacks
Can't bring myself to care. All about a side story about a side character in a prequel side movie.
If this had come out before Rogue One, it would have been interesting enough. Now it's just sad slopparoonies.
If you see anyone trying to claim this isn't leagues better than every Disney+ show post-season one Mandalorian, you can rest assured you're dealing with a moron. Save for some annoying pacing this actually feels like a show made by real human beings with actual effort put into it.
The third episode felt like the first episode
i don't remember what the frick happened in the actual first two episodes, so damn boring
Kinoa
what a moronic costume design
Are they Alphatron?
Wait did this come out? I guess that explains all the aggressive israeli shilling going on tonight
ok i watched all 3 and... why... there... is just... nothing... going on? he just endlessly meets up with people he knows.... has small talk... on the run... shot a couple guys.... okay????

Put down your phone you moron. Tiktok has clearly fried your brain
Am I missing something? This seems boring and lame so far. Doesn't even seem like Star Wars, what's with the Amazon forest Mexicans tribe?
It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either
Dead Franchise
Somehow Palpatine returned
Rey is the Chosen one and Killed Palpatine not Anakin
Shit is boring as frick so far.

oops, the blue uniform guys are COPS, not middle managers. i couldnt tell i didnt waste any effort sorting through the shitty dialogue.
It's as if classic 80s/90s Granada made a Star Wars TV show.

ayo when does luke or ashoka come in?
I have to assume he meets Ashoka at some point since he takes on her 'Fulcrum' alias between this and Rogue One.
I highly doubt Ahsoka will be in the show.
frick off shill
This show is how i imagine the original cut of Star Wars was before Lucas' wife fixed it. There's some kino buried in all of this superfluous jibber jabbering.
I haven't watched a star wars product since TFA
Who do you keep watching this garbage
Any aliens or is it 98% humans again?
All Star Wars is 98% humans. There were no significant non-humans in these 3 episodes but plenty of background aliums.
>Any aliens or is it 98% humans again
All those dead Bagger-288's on the LordoftheFlies planet are worrying. What could take out so many machines who's sole vocation is violence?
The segments with wild ugabuga kids were absolute cringe.
The rest is kino.
I thought it was surprisingly good and well made.
The primitive kids thing definitely is way too drawn out, though I guess that story line did have a pretty good conclusion and tie in with modern events at the end there, like he's a kid who was destined to be on the run, all that.

It really doesn't matter, the kids are just absolute shittiest tier actors and painful to look at.
Yeah, Star Wars has never had extremely shitty child actors you had to squint past to enjoy.
>Improving something that's shitty is illegal
I watched the 3 episodes unlike most people here.
It's good (7/10) so far. It's quite slow in the start. It's a breath of fresh air after the shit show the sequels were. It doesn't feel like a modern adaptation of Star Wars. How come every new piece of Disneywars media is "this one is finally good, for real!" until it inevitably turns into putrid dogshit?
Honestly? Its shills. Its people literally paid to post about how good a show is and do whatever they can do convince people to watch it, up to and including shitting on their own bosses other series.

Why do they call some laser blasters rifles?
Rifles are weapons with rifled barrels to put spin on a kinetic projectile.
It is all so tiresome
how do you know blasters don't have rifled barrels?
For what possible reason would they?
If i was a star wars creator, i'd make it so that all blasters had rifled barrels. Just to frick with your dorky ass, because I found your post annoying.
That would make all blasters rifles ?
Why do they only call some blaster rifles?
why would a laser weapon be rifled?
t. operator
What would you call a blaster with a stock and a longer barrel, as compared to a blaster pistol?
>apologize
If only that vapid fricking prostitute kk and her underlings would.
Sorry George ,
The Prequels Are Better Movies Than We Deserve
Most modern shows are just gay. I don’t care about diversity but always cartoonish.
