>no Towers Open Fire >no Strawberry Shortcut >no I Killed My Lesbian Wife, Hung Her on a Meat Hook, and Now I Have a Three-Picture Deal at Disney
entry-level as frick
The lowest movie on that list I've seen is Pulgasari. I guess the most obscure movies I have on my computer is all that super elitist Matthew Barney and R. Bruce Elder stuff they only officially show at art exhibitions and in film schools and whatnot, but even that isn't that hard to find if you know where to look. And outside of that supposed exclusivity, it's fairly standard arthouse cinema.
It all depends on how you measure cinephilia. If it's about something being hard to find, I had more trouble getting a hold of the Director's Cut of Blackhat.
I am looking for a Chinese kung-fu movie that has the exact same music as Kill Bill but came out decades earlier. The Wu Tang Collection's channel has it on YT
What aspects merits a cinephile?
Someone whom has watched a wide range of movies all with different attributes?
What are some attributes for a given movie? >time
year
chronologics >space
language
country
genres >money
bigbudget
amateur
independent >artistic decisions
form
substance
limits
I could not for the life of me find a copy of Eros+Massacre. Only read about it in college. The fifth tier is where most /film/ bros reach, methinks. Although, ‘Evolution of a Filipino Family’ was mainstream enough for me to catch it on TV. Berlin Alexanderplatz is in the Criterion Channel. That being said, r/letterboxd seems like the most insufferable gathering of homosexuals on the internet.
I've seen Eros + Massacre and Pinocchio 964, Guinea Pig, Pulgasari, Horse Money, and Go Go Second Time Virgin are all on my watchlist. So I guess I go in that tier
No, but Michael Bolton is.
Keira Knightley!
Jack Sparrow!
Cumming inside Keira Knightley!

Yes, seen Eros + Massacre full cut (thank you, Arrow Films).
The Apostle was hot garbage. It was just a period SAW film.

I haven't tried to be a pretentious filmbro in a while but this list looks like it was made by someone who has no idea what they're doing.
