Yes absolutely. Some movies benefit from an immersive experience (like those 4D theaters for movies like Avatar which have nothing to offer but cool special effects) but generally speaking they are a waste of money.
3D fricking sucked and gave me a headache. The glasses would tint the movie so it was darker and a lot of the time cinemas just played the movie out of focus. Fricking terrible
I'm one the few people who really enjoyed 3D when it was done well, most of the time the "3d" felt like looking at different layers of cardboard cutouts though. The most prominent 3d effect was the subtitles though which I assume most Americans missed out on.
Were they those fancy mechanical ones or something? I can't imagine those cheap polarised film ones are so expensive that it would harm them financially if people kept them

yes 3d fricking sucked ass
even when it's at its best it sucks
It'll be back in another 60 years
no, i want 3d monitors and TV to have a comeback
Especially videogames
3d on monitors tends to make things look small. Don't know if vr are better at it.
Fury road in 3d was hands down the best cinema experience I ever had.

No, not at all.
All I want is for them to shoot kinos with actual 3D cameras instead of post-conversion.
Avatar 2 3D just made 2 Billion dollars. So no.
Titanic is being re-released in 3D next week too and that's sure to make some good money

I watched Resident Evil 4 in 3D and it was awesome.
I always wanted to get this TV
The only two movies that were better in 3d imo were Avatar and Life of Pi
it was cool the first couple times you saw it but eventually your brain just got used to it.
well, close to no one goes to the cinema anymore. Torrents and hundreds of streaming platforms, why paying for overpriced tickets still??
>tfw they stopped showing 3D movies in my city's cinemas because people kept stealing the 3D glasses
I hate my country
Why would they even get stolen? The vast majority don't have 3D cameras.
*3D televisions
brain fart
why would you steal a 3d visor if you don't have a 3d screen at home
Some people just like to watch the world burn.

>people itt paid to watch capeshit in 3d
why do i come here
I would be even mor glad had it never been a thing to begin with
Nah Avatar 2 in 3D IMAX was awesome
>there's still no modern home video release of Starchaser: The Legend of Orin in 3D
I mean it's not a good movie but I still wanna see it in 3D
The moment that shit became a thing again I knew it was a gimmick and would die again soon.
Same with those VR goggles.
But it's just a matter of time until they revive that shit again for another attempt.
