The writing was just not as good. Main story was the Sophie arc which really ended in s4 everything after was steadily declining in quality
Dobby arc goes on for basically the same length of time if not longer if you include s9 and it never reaches the same highs and just meanders. even if that is an accurate depiction of a relationship that isn’t really working out it wasn’t very funny
