Nimona and Suzume are actually close, but while Suzuma had stellar side characters the two mains were weak, Nimona doesn't have good side characters but the mains are likeable and mains are more important. Plus, some parts of the story of Suzume made no sense or was stupid at least. Still an enjoyable movie, but eventually just a worse Your Name.

The first one was better. It's flat as a sequel and doesn't work well on its own because of the cliffhanger.
The cliffhanger is honestly my only gripe with it. I'm fine with it being a 2 parter but they should have battled spot in the third act or something idk.
