Have you not seen box office numbers lately? Hollywood is desperate for revenue. 4 movies means 4 ticket sales for the same bullshit.
this reminds me of the old variant covers of comic books designed to get needs to buy 4 of the same issue. It was a desperate ploy then, and it still is.
The Beatles are completely irrelevant to anyone but western boomers, so unless hollywood wants to modernize them (make them gay black women) all 4 of these films are going to fail.
What a moronic idea. Just make a singular Beatles movie or a TV series or something.
FPWP. I can see how it could lead to bloat (and the concern about, er "wokeshit", for lack of a better word, is valid. However, there are a few considerations that you have failed to grasp, because you're dumb zoomies and aren't fans:
1) In A Hard Day's Night, one of the subtle things that makes it a good movie that's actually interesting to watch, is that although they spend time together as a band and do fun band stuff, the film also spends significant time with each member SOLO, ALONE. One of them goes for a walk by himself and talks to townspeople, another goes to the store, that sort of thing. They're "playing" themselves, but it gives a sense of each member's individual personality, in the film at least.
2) Each member went on to have a successful solo career, which creates a little fodder for the back half/third of each man's biopic. Lennon's assassination is sexy subject matter, and also George was attacked in his house like a year or two before he died (I tend to think that the trauma of that contributed to his death).
So is the John Lennon movie half as long as the others?
Not reading all of that. I still stand by the idea that The Beatles don't deserve four separate movies especially since everyone and their mom already knows their stories. A miniseries makes more sense.
Ever heard of Pauls self named 'Black & White MInstrel Show'?
Paul had two hookers in one room, one of which was black and the other white in the same hotel his girlfriend was sleeping in. The show was trying to hide them from her.
>be john Lennon >steal your music from others and make the world's biggest band >beat your wacky, squawking wife >start a peace and love brand of communism to spread to the youth for decades to come >get shot and die
Ringo had the best arc. He's been married to the Bond girl from Spy Who Loved Me for 45 years and will likely have the final word on The Beatles before leaving this world.
>The John Lennon one will be 50% about how he beat his wife
I've never seen any evidence of this actually happening. Other than John himself saying so once. And I literally think he was lying for attention there.
>And I literally think he was lying for attention there.
His ex wife wrote an auto-biograpy confirming some of it but saying it only happened when they were very young. She did confirm that he was very controlling despite sleeping with other women behind her back. He apparently had one of his friends proposition her to help in the divorce proceedings when he was leaving her for Yoko.
>His ex wife wrote an auto-biograpy confirming some of it
The opposite. His highly estranged ex-wife wrote a tell all book that distinctly LACKED any wife beating. And I don't know why she would hold back something so juicy. The one reported incident that comes close is when he got super jealous she was dancing with other men, or something like that, and started getting physical with her as the argument escalated. But this isn't even slapping let alone battered wife punching/kicking. Shook her etc. And rather than being a victim she got so mad at the experience she broke up with him and they didn't get back together till months later when he came back begging and apologising.
Years later I think he drew from that one experience to sell some hippie "I once was lost but now I'm found" male feminist BS guru message. He was lying. He was never a wife beater. Hella emotionally abusive though.
>And I don't know why she would hold back something so juicy.
Because she doesn't want to be known as the pitiful beaten ex wife of the man she loved? It's a humiliating position to be in, she may have wanted people to know she was treated badly but she would also want people to think that he at least loved her a bit.
There are other sources for for him hitting Cynthia, like in Hunter Davies book. >"Molly, the cleaning woman, once caught John hitting me, really clowning me. She said I was a silly girl to get mixed up in something like that".

The Beatles are for women and gays. Their music revolutionized almost nothing besides manufactured hype, which still exists today and stems back to “beatlemania” of which, fans were given pamphlets that told them how to act. Because boomers are moronic, they obeyed a piece of paper. Their entire legacy is built off of peer pressure.
>gay people listen more music on internet than boomers
:O
The Beatles music was also limited online to the point that people were doing their own versions or songs with tracks missing (like orchestration) that people lapped up. The version of I am the Walrus most seen on youtube is an edited track that would only sound weird to a Beatles fan who listened to the master. THe same thing Dylan where a guys cover of Knockin' on Heavens Door falsely listed as Dylans has been viewed over 10 million times (where boomers comment that it sounds just like it did back in their day).
Probably the best candidate for a biopic because of his inner turmoils. All or Nothing At All was great. They have to let his music tell the story. he didnt write the songs so hopefully you dont have that moronic scene where he gets the ideads for songs. HIs mood dictated the album which is great for a movie. MY only thing is that i dont really like the song My Way and that would probably be the big closer.
DiCaprio was supposed to be Frank but Nancy Sinatra put her foot down because Scorcese wanted to focus it more on his mafia/JFK connections than the more interesting aspects of his professional life. He and Bing Crosby were far and away the biggest entertainers of the 20th century.
>He and Bing Crosby were far and away the biggest entertainers of the 20th century
World population tripled and information technology greatly improved in the latter half so I doubt it.
I've seen this same moronic retort on here before and it's easily swatted away with world charting history; touring attendance and box office numbers. I'm sorry you can't accept that a big eared Irish drunk and balding dago crooner were as wildly popular as they were all the way until they died but these things are true rather you want to accept that or not.

>Lifetime sell out rate - 99%
That's fricking insane, will never be duplicated ever
No other band has did what the Beatles did. To release a dozen albums and a single every couple of months in a span of 8 years. IN that time, their music eveolved and embraced and propagated diffrent genres and subgenres. THey did this whilst being the biggest band in the world. mOst bands and artists dont evolve past their current state (and only by increments) and release an album every 4 years now.
I will only be attending Ringo's movie.
Lennongays and McCartneyqueers need not respond to me. Harrisonbros are alright, I just don't want to watch his movie.
It's such a moronic idea to split them in 4 and have them all hit the cinemas no way they aren't going to flop horrendously, not to mention that it's going to be pretty humilliating when Ringo's performs the worst by far.
>lifemogs every other rockstar in history despite dying at 32 >still no biopic
Is it because the movie would have to be 15 hours long to cover all of his major stories?
>was the only surfer in the beach boys >beaten the worse by his father and was the wildest brother in the family >started drumming out of a necessity and for fun >watches his brother become mentally unstable as the group becomes bigger >starts to find himself in the studio >befriends Charles Manson because he wants to help him write songs >feels guilt because he introduced Manson to Terry Melcher whose house was host to the murders >his music becomes more melancholic and deeper >his substance abuse grows out of control and and his wild lifestyle puts him in debt >kicked out of the band >goes out everyday with a jug to fill up on rum at the liquor store >is seen wandering the beach at first unrecognisable to fans and friends >lives day to day sleeping on couches and occasionally by the seaside >goes out on a boat with friend to recover his ex-wifes belongings which he threw in the ocean three years earlier >friend falls asleep whilst wilson was diving drunk and evntually bumped his head on the bottom of the boat >found lying on the seabed in the foetal position
I wouldn't want any more Beach Boys films/documentaries.
Part of the fun of getting into the Beach Boys is that their early stuff is well known and accessible while the post Pet Sounds stuff is a goldmine of professionally made experimental shit and crazy lore that is largely ignored in the mainstream, so it feels like you're discovering it for yourself. If everything about them was cannonised in the same way as the Beatles then it would make them less interesting.
Also Love & Mercy is a great film, I doubt it would be topped.
The Beach Boys music was like a treasure hunt. They literally had a dozen albums worth of unreleased material beyond the Smile era. A lot of it has been released now and it makes you question why some songs were released and others werent. Fans are now making their own albums from that material.
Ringo probably would be the most interesting character if done right. He doesnt struggle with his identity or role in the group and doesnt let the whole thing overwhelm him. MIght be the best way to tell the story.
What a moronic idea. Just make a singular Beatles movie or a TV series or something.
Have you not seen box office numbers lately? Hollywood is desperate for revenue. 4 movies means 4 ticket sales for the same bullshit.

It really is a fricking awful idea. And, of course, you know they're going to pack 50s/60s Liverpool and London with nogs.

>he doesn’t want to see john getting kicked out of nightclubs with harry nilsson and asian gf #2

Wife beaters... We're so fricking back.
Only John and Ringo were wifebeaters, Paul and George just cheated on them infinitely.
Ever heard of Pauls self named 'Black & White MInstrel Show'?
Paul had two hookers in one room, one of which was black and the other white in the same hotel his girlfriend was sleeping in. The show was trying to hide them from her.
Paul's would be even shorter then. Billy's would be LotR length.
What is wrong with boomers. What is it with this band and them?
Ask the boomers running Tavistock.
The Beach Boys are great American music.
The John Lennon one will be 50% about how he beat his wife and 50% about how he stole everything he ever did from women and minorities.
>be john Lennon

>His ex wife wrote an auto-biograpy confirming some of it
The opposite. His highly estranged ex-wife wrote a tell all book that distinctly LACKED any wife beating. And I don't know why she would hold back something so juicy. The one reported incident that comes close is when he got super jealous she was dancing with other men, or something like that, and started getting physical with her as the argument escalated. This is the least interesting aspect about him. Scorsese also did the Aviator and made Howard Hughes into a cartoon character.
>Touring attendance
Okay
>Lifetime sellout rate
99% - Michael Jackson
>Concerts with over 100,000 paid attendees
11 - Michael Jackson
>Average lifetime tour attendance
4.3 Million - Michael Jackson
>Most sold out concerts / tickets per region
Europe - Wembley Stadium - Michael Jackson - 15 times
Asia - Tokyo Dome - Michael Jackson - 20 times
Latin America - Estadio Azteca - Michael Jackson - 5 times
South America - Estadio Monumental - Coldplay - 10 times
South Africa - Michael Jackson - 280,000
>Lifetime sell out rate - 99%
That's fricking insane, will never be duplicated ever
>Coldplay
Who?
A hipster band redditors like
>Stupid goomba music
People like you should be strung up and shot for how god damn stupid you are.
Shitalians are the original wetbacks. Go back to Italy and suck off the pope you vile pastaBlack person.
Crooning wasn't a talent, frick this karaoke c**t.
Was raised by a israeli woman. israelite worshipping pathetic buttgoy. Literally smuggled weapons to israel.
Who are they gonna cast?
CAST THEM
Lee Pace would've been a good John twenty years ago.
Depends on when the movies are set. I think Bale could play older George
Everyone shits on Ringo but true ones know he is based, redpilled and isn't constantly huffing his own farts unlike the other members.
It's such a moronic idea to split them in 4 and have them all hit the cinemas no way they aren't going to flop horrendously, not to mention that it's going to be pretty humilliating when Ringo's performs the worst by far.
Hopefuly he dies before that.
Boomers are moronic herd animals.
>Sam Mendes
phew!
I was scared for a second. good thing they got this hack involved
>Paul, I am the author of all your pain
>So is the John Lennon movie half as long as the others?
i know you zoomers are ignorant but john lennon has the most cinematic scene all prep'd and ready 2 go
?si=QJARog7QrRv3gPgw&t=160
only question is do we have blanchett reprise her role as dylan...
Why did you quote the John Lennon joke as if it was relevant to your post?
i'm sorry, zoom-zoom. i hope your fee-fee's didn't get hurt too much but if they did i'm sowwy
Autism, he just wanted to post the video but he wasn't sure how
Based Fat John
Ey wot Brucey?
>lifemogs every other rockstar in history despite dying at 32
>still no biopic
Is it because the movie would have to be 15 hours long to cover all of his major stories?
Can't wait for this board to turn into slap fights of people claiming their favorite Beatle had the best movie
>was the only surfer in the beach boys
>beaten the worse by his father and was the wildest brother in the family
>started drumming out of a necessity and for fun
>watches his brother become mentally unstable as the group becomes bigger
>starts to find himself in the studio
>befriends Charles Manson because he wants to help him write songs
>feels guilt because he introduced Manson to Terry Melcher whose house was host to the murders
>his music becomes more melancholic and deeper
>his substance abuse grows out of control and and his wild lifestyle puts him in debt
>kicked out of the band
>goes out everyday with a jug to fill up on rum at the liquor store
>is seen wandering the beach at first unrecognisable to fans and friends
>lives day to day sleeping on couches and occasionally by the seaside
>goes out on a boat with friend to recover his ex-wifes belongings which he threw in the ocean three years earlier
>friend falls asleep whilst wilson was diving drunk and evntually bumped his head on the bottom of the boat
>found lying on the seabed in the foetal position
>you need to buy four tickets to see one movie
lame scam, I'm not going to watch any of it
Rock and Roll Cinematic Universe when?
I will pirate the George and Ringo kinos but the other two can go frick themselves.
A movie about this guy would be much more entertaining
>Beatles... assemble!
Who the frick thought it was a good idea.
A film about their manager would be good.
idk why people rag on lennon for wife beating, think having to deal with ono was enough repentance for that
>Ringo's film is ignored while the three other films are hits
Ringo probably would be the most interesting character if done right. He doesnt struggle with his identity or role in the group and doesnt let the whole thing overwhelm him. MIght be the best way to tell the story.
