Interesting tidbit about this show when Dilworth was asked about it a while back
    >"However, in May 2020, when asked about the project, Dilworth responded that it had been "transformed into another thing"
I think the "another thing" was the Courage and Scooby Doo crossover film that got released in 2021. Unless there's something else that hasn't seen the light of day.

It's a shame that any attempts at Courage coming back don't get off the ground but maybe it's for the best.

This looked very cute. I honestly think it would have worked better as a special rather than a new series.

Not sure if 2020's kids would have liked it tho, these days kids prefer to watch youtube crap like skidibi toilet or digital circus.

      >these days kids prefer to watch youtube crap like skidibi toilet or digital circus
I think you mean toddlers. Most kids (pre-teen to teenaged) actually tend to enjoy older series, mainly cartoons from the 90s-2000s. It can range from old cartoon network shows, to random flash series no one gave two shits about for decades until it trended on tiktok (ex: emily youcis animations)
Teen girls really love invader zim, south park, salad fingers and alfred's playhouse in particular

        See

If they did a livestream release on their official youtube alongside airing it that would be good I think.
Kids still like classic cartoons like tom and jerry as well as stuff from the 90's and early to mid 2000's, it's not like they aren't interested, there is just no good way to access them unless their parent has a streaming service that has them

        .
        >it's not like they aren't interested, there is just no good way to access them unless their parent has a streaming service that has them
And that goes for everyone, not just children.

Exactly, many pre-teen to teenaged kids love cartoons from the 90s-2000s. Particularly the ones from mid 90s and early 2000s.

CN's never going to release an official soundtrack to Courage in a million years, so it's more likely that someone would pester the composers via email to fork over the RAW tracks. It worked for the Sonic fandom when some random guy convinced the composer of the OVA's soundtrack to release everything unofficially

I dont even think dilly was friends with any of cn's cartoon showrunners back in the late 90s-early aughts. He's always been an eccentric freelancer, him and his crew of artists just got really lucky with courage

        Anonymous

i wouldnt say it was completely luck. dilworth worked on doug and got some contacts with viacom that got his foot in the door and eventually got shorts airing on MTV and Nick
he also got some small bumpers animated for the young CN. all this combined gave him enough clout to be invited to participate in what a cartoon.
both CN and nick were way more willing to work with small independent studios back then

          Anonymous

What I meant by luck is him and his crew got to produce 50 something episodes of courage. I know he did a lot of work for cartoons prior to courage, and I'm sure he made his animation connections through the underground cartooning community, just like danny antonucci did. Festivals like spike and mike really brought a lot of young talent together back in those days

            Anonymous

antonucci cut his teeth working at hanna-barbera in the early 80s, so he already had connections there prior to pitching ed, edd, n eddy
in fact him, john k, and david feiss worked on the smurfs together

Lazzo was in charge of CN in 1999 and he's the reason courage got greenlit, same reason why all the weird stuff on AS got greenlit. Lazzo saw potential in a lot of stuff other executives did not and he always gave stuff a chance as long as its low budget. After he got on adult swim CN became a lot less experimental in its shows and bumpers, a similar thing happened to adult swim proper recently.

It's cute but doesn't feel that intresting to me, the teenage girl MC and other characters are a bit boring, in terms of personality and design. Great voice acting and expressions in the pitch though, and the ryona potential of this series could've been great
