The Wild Bunch
This, also The Searchers and Unforgiven. Rio Bravo and Outlaw Josey Wales are honorable mentions.
Tombstone or ravenous
deadwood tho
My favourite is the Coen brother's adaptation of True Grit
>True Grit
>True Grit
Weird cinematography.
Unforgiven or the True Grit remake.
No country for old men
That is in fact, not a Western.
>western has to take place in 1800s
>has never heard of techwest
In no particular order:
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford
3:10 to Yuma
True Grit (remake)
Post spaghetti western era only.
Unforgiven
Old Henry
Tombstone
Silverado
Open Range
Dead Man. Frick you, it counts!
I really liked Diablo, the one with Clint Eastwood's son.
It's rather short, they really should've given Walton Goggins' character some more time on screen, but overall it was very good.
Be warned, the synopsis gives away the entire movie including the ending, I hate that they spoiled it like that, I would've enjoyed it a lot if I didn't already now exactly how everything would go, so don't ready anything about the movie before watching.
Well, for film just about anything with John Wayne is tops, "Mcclintock!," "The Cowboys," "Horse Soldiers" etc. Tom Selleck's films are great, as are the spaghetti western greats with Clint Eastwood. "The Magnificent Seven" is basically mandatory as well.
Based great silence appreciator. I watched it in Italian on YouTube and it was absolutely amazing. Sheriff was based af.
klaus kinski was the original sigma
Subversive ending really got me too, couldn't stop thinking about it. The score got better as the movie went on, one of morricone's best.
watched great silence the other day and I was VERY satisfied with subversive ending
Wtf is that thing in the sky?
I think its called a helicopter, fren...
>Helicopter
>Western
Mmmhmm
The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford: or How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb
Weiße Wölfe (1968), Nothing beats a Red Western
>best western
I’m a doubletree man
This. Looking forward to a film version.
great choice of a classic American artist for the cover, that looks like one of Albert Bierstadt's pieces
There is a film version of it, it stars Nic Cage, I don't know where to find it though. I also enjoyed the book, read it in 9 days while cooped up in hospital in February, first book I've read cover to cover in over 7 years.
Doesn't have:
>3:10 To Yuma
>Boss Black person
Opinion rejected. You do have Bone Tomahawk on there though so that redeems you a little bit.
Forgot to mention Hateful 8 as well.
Hateful 8 is literally Tarantino's worst movie
that would be django but close.
blazing saddles for comedy
shanghai noon
Lonesome Dove
Man I remember stroking it to that chick who played the gunsmith in lonesome dove the outlaw years.
