I'm convinced people who say Lazenby and OHMSS are the worst haven't even seen the movie. It's better than a shitload of other Bond movies and his fight scenes shit all over Connery's awkward attempts to punch someone.
It was the wrong movie to introduce a new Bond. Wasn’t Lazenby fault. Connory was suppose to do the movie but because of weather delays he did You Only Live Twice. It would’ve been a far more impactful movie with Connory’s Bond getting married and her die and actually seeing emotion from his almost psychopathic Bond.
liked license to kill more than living daylights
much more simple and straight forward
chick getting her hair short and entering in that tight dress was everything casino royal tried to be but failed
vesper was already a hot minx in the train scene should've been less quippy and a bit more stern uptight and then at the first poker scene turn up in a bombshell dress all dolled up
>much more simple and straightforward
yes I hated Living Daylight's over-complicated potboiler storyline with no stakes or reason for us to care if Bond succeeds or not. He's trying to stop a russian general from helping supply funds to the Russian forces in Afghanistan. Why should I fricking care about that
>Felix Leiter >comic relief
He's Bond's closest ally in the series, played the same actor who played Felix in Live and Let Die. He's also trying to literally destroy a drug dealer, completely and utterly. Far more compelling than some diamond smuggling/arms dealing shit in the middle east as Bond rides on a camel
Other Bond movies have stakes. World is in peril, Great Britain is in danger, Bond is who they send when shit hits the fan. He's not who they should send to investigate some penny ante scheme in Arabland that won't even amount to anything beyond prolonging a war the Russians would never have won anyway
Afghanistan feels like a slog the first time through, mostly because I don't like looking at sand, and I don't like James Bond resorting to storming the enemy with a posse. On subsequent watches, Afghanistan goes by faster than I remember.
TLD is not flawless, and all Daylights Livers came to their conclusions through calculation of strengths and weaknesses across Bond films. With a tiny nudge in the form of pro-Dalton contrarianism.
>best girl
Frick no, Kara is one of the worst Bond girls. She's a stupid c**t who dates some slimy russian general and Bond gets his sloppy seconds. She betrays Bond like a moron and is generally useless. She's also unsexy, dressing like a librarian the whole movie, never shows any skin at all. The poster is a complete lie, when is that outfit in the movie? I want my money back
It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't betray Bond for him, AFTER she hooks up with Bond. They drugged Bond and probably fricked in front of his sleeping body. Bond is the one who got cucked
>Bond gets his sloppy seconds.
this applies to nearly every girl in the franchise.
Hell, this even applies to the Bond Novels. Nearly all the women are fricked up.
My boomer dad who grew up on Bond hated Dalton’s Bond. He thought they were to Politically Correct which be woke shit of 80s/90s. Sexism, whole AIDS scare. So Dalton Bond hardly fricked anyone. He just fricked lady on the bought in pre credits and Kara. And only two b***hes in License To Kill. He also hated Craig Bond and though Bronson was his fave outside Connory, he hated woman M
TLD tries to fit him into the Connery mold. LTK is better because it allows Dalton to be his own Bond, and is better-suited to his acting style. Him trying to quip and be fun-loving Bond in TLD just doesn't work.
the writer says in interviews Elliot Carver is based on Robert Maxwell, you know the guy from the Tetris movie... Jonathan Pryce is often mistaken as israeli and his number two is played by israeli magician Ricky Jay.
Which is sad because one of Fleming’s best books but they butchered it. They used pieces of it in other Dalton movies. Like scene where Bond and the girl are being dragged by a boat in For Your Eyes Only was actually climax of Live and Let Die
When you stop being an entertainment consoomer gay and start evaluating the films objectively, you see that he's the best Bond. It's just a progression thing.
No, Brosnan was superior. I’m glad he couldn’t do Living Daylights do to Remington Steel. He even admitted that even though he was bigger he was glad he aged some more when he did Goldeneye for
Licence to Kill didn't get a fair shake, they changed the title at the last minute, which fricked up the ad campaigns, official poster looked liked shit, and also it came out two days before Die Hard
>Any metric >Posts box office
lol
None of those numbers make any sense given inflation, theater existence and availability (they are constantly building more and more), or many social factors involved. If you rereleased every Bond movie a week apart in release year order, I still doubt they'd perform as well as specific others simply because of the permeation into pop culture many of them have had for various reasons.
When you objectively analyze the actual performance in terms of relating to the source material, Dalton is the absolute best. Does that mean the source material matches up well with the general audience? No, it's a niche market which is why Connery was cast and practically made it his brand. It's why Moore was so vanilla. It's why Brosnan was a suave action star. It's why Craig was a lover of women. They are brand and casting decisions. Dalton was an honest rendition. If you put Dalton in there at the start with the plots of the beginning era, he would have absolutely nailed it.
all decent opinions except best girl, as good as Eva Green looked in that dress, Vesper was a piece of shit traitor b***h who got conned by some Quantum agent. The whole romance with Bond on the beach was badly written and lame. I felt nothing when she died. She was not a great Bond girl.
Sorry Dalton, but the best film goes to me
homosexual contrarian
Why was this considered bad back in the day? It completely mogs Connery's final three films which were awful.
>new Bond bad
I'm convinced people who say Lazenby and OHMSS are the worst haven't even seen the movie. It's better than a shitload of other Bond movies and his fight scenes shit all over Connery's awkward attempts to punch someone.

The skiing scene is kino
homosexual, moonraker is more fun
>best song
>best girl
>best bond
He can't keep getting away with it.

why should I care if the American comic relief character had his legs fed to sharks?
>Felix Leiter
>comic relief

Other Bond movies have stakes. World is in peril, Great Britain is in danger, Bond is who they send when shit hits the fan. He's not who they should send to investigate some penny ante scheme in Arabland that won't even amount to anything beyond prolonging a war the Russians would never have won anyway
Dude, you have to accept a dash (full pour) of propaganda with your Bond flicks or else they wouldn't make any.
It's good until it reaches Afghanistan and becomes Cold War propaganda. Licence to Kill was better.
With a tiny nudge in the form of pro-Dalton contrarianism.
commies are vile
mujahedeen did nothing wrong
>best song
Yup
>best girl
Two of them
>best bond
Yup
You forgot
>best videogame
They have to be biologically female to register in the competition.
I agree, THOUGH.
I think the fact that he flirts with her make it looks so good instead of le epic end sex.
You're right but the movie itself still is mid
>best girl

>Bond gets his sloppy seconds
there we go the blackpill crowd arrived
how's it going? still bitter and unfricked?
So many Bond girls are villain cumpdumpsters before meeting him it's almost a trope.
Bond likes to cuck the villain.
It wouldn't be so bad if she didn't betray Bond for him, AFTER she hooks up with Bond. They drugged Bond and probably fricked in front of his sleeping body. Bond is the one who got cucked
>She's also unsexy
Ah you're a homosexual.
The actress is sexy, the character isn't. Unless you're really into conservative tweed suits
>Bond gets his sloppy seconds.
this applies to nearly every girl in the franchise.
Hell, this even applies to the Bond Novels. Nearly all the women are fricked up.

Dalton's Bond was kind of meh 2bh.
Him joining the Mujahedeen was pretty neat though,
TLD tries to fit him into the Connery mold. LTK is better because it allows Dalton to be his own Bond, and is better-suited to his acting style. Him trying to quip and be fun-loving Bond in TLD just doesn't work.
Licence to Kill is what Diamonds should have been.
>Licence to Kill
the poor man's Miami Vice
regurgitated NPC take
Worst Bond
Unless you have absolute disdain for Comedy in a Bond movie, Craig is still much worse than the rest.
If only Craig's Bond was like Unnamed from Layer Cake...
I can't believe I didn't start this thread.
I don't know if you were also arguing that but I'll add:
>best bond movie by far
>best song
>anything except Tomorrow Never Dies
everyone knows they picked the wrong one.
Wrong, homosexual
>didn't watch Tomorrow Never Dies until about 2018, so I thought Carver and Gupta were supposed to be evocative of Steve Jobs and Richard Stallman
I have to ask... Why Stallman?
>fat, bearded, slovenly israeli technology guy
the writer says in interviews Elliot Carver is based on Robert Maxwell, you know the guy from the Tetris movie... Jonathan Pryce is often mistaken as israeli and his number two is played by israeli magician Ricky Jay.
also best salt corrosion
i can't debate you even if i wanted to anon
premier taste
No need to debate, fellow Dalton bro
>best song
Thunderball
>best girl
Xenia
>best bond
Brosnan
Dalton was a good Bond but cringe as frick when it came to women.
Die Another Day isn't even close to being the worst Bond movie.
Spectre, QoS and No Time To Die are all infinitely worse.
>get bond boxset recently
>decide to rewatch them all
>there's maybe 5 great movies
>the rest are cheesy garbage
yes. it's great.
live and let die fricking sucks ass and anyone who tells you otherwise is a fricking homo
solitaire was bretty hot though
Great song and
This with a cap
Which is sad because one of Fleming’s best books but they butchered it. They used pieces of it in other Dalton movies. Like scene where Bond and the girl are being dragged by a boat in For Your Eyes Only was actually climax of Live and Let Die
yeah pretty much
the only one that’s an actually good movie and not just a meme is OHMSS
I like Timothy Dalton as an actor but his Bond movies sucked. I don't know why they have fans here.
When you stop being an entertainment consoomer gay and start evaluating the films objectively, you see that he's the best Bond. It's just a progression thing.
No, Brosnan was superior. I’m glad he couldn’t do Living Daylights do to Remington Steel. He even admitted that even though he was bigger he was glad he aged some more when he did Goldeneye for
>Brosnan was superior
His voice cracked the first time he said "Bond, James Bond."
How is he the best?
>wooden performance
>boring villains
>action scenes are much worse than in Moore films
He's acting based on the source material unlike any of the others.
Dalton was a failure by any metrics.
Licence to Kill didn't get a fair shake, they changed the title at the last minute, which fricked up the ad campaigns, official poster looked liked shit, and also it came out two days before Die Hard
>Any metric
>Posts box office

Living Daylights has one of the worst songs
>Best Bond
Connery (Runner-up: Dalton)
>Best Song
The World is Not Enough (Runner-up: You Know My Name)
>Best Girl
Vesper Lynd (Runner-up: Tatiana Romanova)
>Best Villain

Red Grant (Runner-up: Nick Nack)
>Best Femme Fatale
Fiona Volpe (Runner-up: Xenia Onatopp)

On Her Majesty's Secret Service (Runner-up: From Russia With Love)
This is objectively correct.

I'll let you have a lot of those solely for your personal flair, but OHMSS as Best movie is an absolute FAIL
>Best song
Tie between You Only Live Twice and View to a Kill
>Best girl
Pam Bouvier
>Best Bond
Pic related
>best girl
No. Pussy was the best girl and came with her own harem.
