We never had any good radio shows, let alone radio shows that were also broadcast on TV. We never had anything good like Stern, Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, Opie and Anthony or anyone fun and interesting like that. I wonder why.

They didn't have a license for that.
This plebbit post about local stations reflects how the large nationwide stations are too. Not sure why they had to specify local as they are ALL this bad.
>Low quality bait
the ricky gervais show on xfm is the greatest radio show ever broadcast. i dont give a shit how cringe he became, its some of the funniest shit ever. and that american shockjock shit gets old fast
>we're going to have this down syndrome man crawl over mousetraps to take this 100 dollarbill out of this hookers c**t with his teeth. arent you offended
how shocking and entertaining
>turns out, little monkey fella
True, that is an exception that I forgot about
Chris morris radio 1 show and subsequently blue jam
>We never had any good radio shows, let alone radio shows that were also broadcast on TV. We never had anything good like Stern, Rush Limbaugh, Alex Jones, Opie and Anthony or anyone fun and interesting like that. I wonder why.
We did. You just didn't know what they were.
What were they then?
Discover things for yourself you pathetic zoomer c**t.
We never had shit and you know it, you old homosexual
We had the best talk radio in the world, you were just shitting your nappy when it happened.
You mean Ricky Gervais on XFM, I said that was the only exception. Compare that to the US that has like 100 great radio shows. Your coping is sad.
>You mean Ricky Gervais on XFM
Certainly not. Ricky Gervais is an unfunny fat c**t.
He is now, but his old XFM shows are great. Mainly thanks to Karl and Steve
>his old XFM shows are great
No they weren't.
>the US that has like 100 great radio shows
Name a dozen of them that aren't Stern or O&A.
should have said had
I'm American and I used to listen to bbc frequently until they totally buggered the website so you can't find anything anymore.
What did you listen to? I'm guessing not BBC Radio 1, as they just play the same mainstream songs any other station would play
BBC2 had some good docs altho eventually I realized they were all rather cut and paste. I was relatively new to classical and jazz so BBC3 was interesting. I still listen to Record Review once in a while. BBC4 was even interesting back before streaming video became reliable. Also, you have to understand that American radio is such a cultural wasteland that listening to something like an intellectual discussion hosted by melvyn bragg was a novelty.
Loveline was my fave
The best version of the hobbit came from the radio, so nah, fella.
What blackmail material did Chris Evans have on the BBC during that time where they constantly sucked his dick?
Most of the other omnipresent presenters I get, but not him
He must have had an absurdly good coke connection or something. Let us not forget he also bagged prime Billie Piper.
The XFM show with ricky, steve and karl is genuinely one of the greatest pieces of media ever made.
There's a good reason a low budget radio show from 20 years ago has a rather large following.
They were dotted about, they're just less memorable because they weren't immortalised through being recorded for the most part. Graham Torrington's Late Night Love for example was quite spicy and a very comfy listen back in the late 90s (I'm old). Reality is though the US was always going to have more because it's a much bigger country.
Opie and Anthony was only good when they had comedians on like Patrice or Louis CK
