First off, you mean the Urak Hai. Orcs have been around for a long time.
Second, he’s a cripple, but he clearly had strategic experience. If anything, he was one of the most dangerous opponents in the entire trilogy.

Yeah it's pretty cool that he showed up out of nowhere with no history or exposition, demonstrating that there is a whole other world in flux outside the story and it just happens to intersect at this point.
I actually really liked that too. Like you said, it just made their world feel so much larger. I also think it made Sauron seem that much scarier, like whatever victory the heroes had he had something waiting in the wings to up the stakes. It hits home that evil really is numerous and unrelenting.
Orcs are immortal, but unlike the elves they squander it and don't really ever develop anything of note or build their knowledge. They can survive for a long time though and build a lot of experience. You can think of Orcs almost like MAGA types if humans discovered immortality. They're wretched and degenerated.
>Waste hundreds of orc lives trying to use a log battering ram on a iron studded gate. >Oh wait we have a giant magically enchanted flaming battering ram, lets use that instead!
meh, he made the gondorians waste their arrows on the fodder while waiting for ol'Grondy being pulled up from Gondor
same shit is happening between the ukros and ruskies with wasting artillery shells and drone drops on trench digging and "probing" conscripts
ran out of wardrobe after spending all that time and effort on the Easterling armor for a 2 minute scene (and some background extras during the siege of Minas tirith)
They should had one orc that appears in every single fight. And every time you see him again hes more injured then the last time until almost everyone in the fellowships had a stab at him and hes completely disfigured and disabled. Then in the end after surviving all that he falls into that pit that opens at the last battle cause hes too crippled to run away in time.
How did lumpy guy end up the general? Weren't they all born a week ago? What are his qualifications?
they're like clones in Star Wars, they're put through countless battle simulations before they get born
these were all orcs
only the urak hai were born a week ago
Sauron has his own Uruks
Orcish nepotism thanks to orc penis inspection guy appointing him to that position.
he lump

Wrong. Lugg knew the importance of fresh legs.

He's white.
He looks like an Orc from way back in the old days. May have even served under Morgoth.
His name is gothmog, he is likely a baldog orc. A maiar wearing orc flesh
He's old and crippled so he's probably a long serving veteran who got there through grandfather rights and everyone else being dead.

MASK OVER THE NOSE YUGRUB
>how will we defeat Gondor?
>we’ll use Grond!
lmao who wrote this bullshit, Doctor Suess?
At least he didn't just spell the city name backwards.
>How will we defeat Gondor?
>With our ultimate weapon, Rodong!
>AIIIIIIIIIE!!! How can you, Murderman Sharpblade, assassinate your own king? I should have seen through your machinations *dies*
THE WOLF HEAD IS LIT
GRONDOR CALLS FOR AID
AND RHÛNHAN SHALL ANSWER
>Waste hundreds of orc lives trying to use a log battering ram on a iron studded gate.

hundreds of orc lives
and nothing of value was lost

He dodges catapult at the last second for she.
Probing attack
Bane will breach it, bring up the big-guy's head
Post your orcfu.
This guy will always be my favorite.
>his enthusiasm for catapults
>his terrific fashion sense
>his pirate banter
He's the full package.
>orcs
>dangerous
They wear full plate mail yet still get cut down in a single strike. The action in these movies is fricking awful.
>He doesn't know
what, that your big threats are just storm troopers? It's even worse in the Hobbit.
They just come off as non threatening cannon fodder.
This is a legitimate complaint, armor is mostly useless in the movies. Only Frodo is saved by it during the battle of balins tomb.
I really dislike it when sword slashes cut through plate and mail in movies.
>He still doesn't know
What?
Didn't Gondor have archers? why they look exactly like footmen?
