I liked him for the role like a decade ago. A combination of him in The Guest and seeing him handle charm and humour in Night at the Museum 3 sold me. But he's aged pretty badly since. Still a great actor and think he would make a solid villain.

If not the perfect Moneypenny (Boynton) then this girl would do nicely. She's a bit weird looking and not hot as hell as Boynton but you could sell the fact she's a nerdy girl hopelessly obsessed with Chad (Bond).

I love TND, I think it's great and I'm tired of pretending it's not.

All of Pierce Brosnan's James Bond movies were perfect and we should have gotten AT LEAST seven. They hit the sweet spot perfectly and unlike morons would have you believe, no one wanted Brosnan gone and Austin Powers or Jason Bourne had no effect on the franchise. It was just Barbara firing Pierce to give her new boytoy the part.

        Anonymous

Eh. TWINE is too long, and has a lot of dull moments inbetween the few, but fun parts. Die Another Day is cheesy schlock supreme but much like TWINE it has a lot of dull moments that could be trimmed down. GE and TND are both fricking fantastic though.

          Anonymous

Even with his movies having some annoying flaws (Renard being wasted, Monica Belluci and Lucy Liu being passed over for TND) they were still utter perfection in terms of revitilizaing the Bond name and bringing it back to classic Connery territory. It was Bondmania of the 60's brought into the 90's. I loved every second of it. The movies, games, the franchise was the biggest in the world and not some forgotten, embarrassing and desecrated (by Craig) relic like now.

            >Lucy Liu could've been the chick in TND
What? This is fricking criminal. Yeoh is.. fine but I would've vastly preferred Liu.

No, I like all of Brosnan's films but I'll say that I rewatch GE and TND far more often than I do TWINE and DAD.

TND is the perfect formula for Bond. It deals with a real world issue and doesn't make light of it but is not moody and dour. It mixes both the political intrigue and the fun/adventure to perfection. You could make movies like TND for eternity and people would never get sick of it. There was no sane reason to reboot. They cut back on feminist M and got her in on spurring Bond to sleep with Paris, made Moneypenny obsessed with him again, great villain, great girls, great score, great action, great henchmen, fricking perfection. Brosnan also mixed Fleming's Bond and Terence Young''s Bond perfectly in this movie. It's an EASY Top 5, if not Top 3 Bond movie. That's even WITHOUT Monica Belluci/Lucy Liu as the Bond girls and Hopkins as Carver. Imagine that, Pierce would have his Goldfinger with this movie.

She could have done without the buzzwords. It's a small blight on an otherwise perfect film. Instead of sexist, misogynist dinosaur she could have said irritating, womanizing dinosaur. Same fricking thing except you ditch the politically charged and malicious buzzwords.

                >Buzzwords
Maybe today, but back in 1995? Not so much a buzzword.

I do remember back then those words didn't register as anything malicious but in retrospect, man it sticks out. I still think M should ALWAYS be a man, not a wo man but Dench reminds me too much of my nanny so I can't be too harsh. Hopkins should have been the Brosnan M, no question.

I think Judi Dench was the best M, honestly. Fantastic actress and nailed a rare, but good take on a female boss in an otherwise mostly male-dominated environment. Her GE M was my favourite of the portrayals from her. I also like Ralph Fiennes as M. As for the old M, I think he was fine but never really stuck out to me in a good way. He was just kind of 'there'. Fine, but not memorable.

Hopkins as M would've been very interesting. I would've loved to see Michael Caine or David Warner in that role.

I prefer the old days when M and Moneypenny were relegated to a single scene where Bond gets his mission. Maybe they show up briefly in the field to drop something off. Big name actors would be a waste in this scenario. Hill and Brown were known actors but not big Hollywood stars. Hill was perfect and Brown was more than adequate. I'd potentially consider Colin Salmon because he earned it but any mid level actor with gravitas and chemistry with the lead would do.

He was great as Charles Robinson, black guy that looked up to James and was his friend and they NEVER made it anything that he's black. Movies were so much better back then. As M? Sure as long as Moneypenny is white. Can't have both of them be black like in those idiotic comics no one reads or buys but somehow still are produced.

I never cared much for her despite my love for the Brosnan movies and growing up with them. I much prefer a male M but very respected opinion by me, anon. I hope they're fair and keep Fiennes as M for ATJ's Bond. These movies should NEVER adhere to continuity. Also, bring back Ana de Armas and maybe Sydeoux in another role. Don't mention anything from Craig. ATJ is the new Bond, move on. Just recast Moneypenny and Q.

    Bond: Sean Harris
    M: Colin Salmon
    or vice versa
    Moneypenny: Kaya Scodelario
    Q: Charles Dance
    Bond Girl: Karley Sciortino
    Henchman: Ray Park
    Composer/Singer: Goldfrapp
    Villain: Tom Noonan+Fairuza Balk

Story: Social, creative and deemed crazy by dull, are amassing an alternative to mediocrity. Seeking a fun world connected by art. All raised to act in plays where finding the meaning if not ending is the objective. To make being human natural.
They have ideas and life is too short to spend selling them, and they don't wish to spawn and be accociated with alternatives. Arguments aren't a winner for anyone. Competition is with your own inadequacy and once something is offered it needs others able to add the parts nessfssary to extend it further, into life.
They are a minority the world has always been eager to eliminate or pretend obsolete.

They grow with taste/prefference passed on. Sold out: filtered out. High expectations. They have an adoring army insuttifient but appreciative. Existant in initial stages, still bound to contradicting and incompatible institutions. Flair a fad that age and inaction absorbs.

Expediancy demands militancy. It's not protitable to take time away from existance. A shared common tragedy keeps investment in others, namely the new. Death is even desired to wipe away the ugliness of accumulated corruption.

Containment for individuality and the unkneeling is cut away. This conflicts with a mission of parasites to refine by forms of destruction of the mind. Making a remainder of enforcers that pre-emptively shut down life in themselves and aid the expectation and enforcement of that universally.

Show a showdown that pretends a higher purpose to prisons, such as protecting the weak, and people in general from themselves. Evens the odds so everyone specialises in being a slave to stupidity. Eventually, in theory. Excellence out of sight, makes it seem less an option.
