      >Messy film with interesting ideas from a passionate filmmaker.
For better or for worse I respect the hell out of the themes and subject matter and that a genuine attempt was made. Even if it's bungled I'll take the one that strives for something and for some falls on its face over the middle of the road safe entry just about every day of the week.

Batman v Superman was awful. Stop with this contrarian bullshit.

It makes me feel something which is more than I can say for 99% of capeshit and 80% of modern movies generally.

How did BvS try to pander to comicbook manchildren with a killer Batman and a troubled Superman?

BvS didn't play safe just for the sake to sate the comic book purists. It actually had a vision and went for it, for both good and bad. It tried to do new and interesting things that hadn't been done before. It also tried to explore themes that weren't in the vogue.

BvS pretty much broke every Cinemaphilegays by having a Batman that shoots guns and a Superman that isn't basically MCU Captain America. It's the main reason it got such a negative reception in the first place, outside of Disney's troll farms.

The concept of batman fighting superman is so moronic. Superman would just fly at the speed of light into batman's cave and incinerate him with his laser vision. The fight would be over in seconds.

    >inb4 muh kryptonite
Superman can punch batman into orbit before he even thinks about getting his kryptonite out.

I think you are missing the point that Superman wouldn't do that. Even in Injustice, when Clark as gone off the deep end, he ''just'' breaks Bruce's back to stop him being a vigilante, and it ends up costing him the win long term. Any BvS fight is going to be Batman pulling out all the stops and all his tricks to deliver a beating to a reluctant Superman. It's how it always plays out.

The Thing got bad reviews. So did thd original BR. Crash is an Oscar winner that's now looked upon as pandering cringe. This isn’t to say that BvS will be re-evaluated positively in the future but the utter confidence in the belief that The Batman is anything more than mediocre because it has a good RT rating is amusing. It's a hilariously bad film with one of the most ineptly written mystery story of all time. In today's world, all you need to do is tick off a few items in a check list to get good reviews. No it was even more moronic. Trying to portrait a paralelism between Batman and Superman because of the coincidence both their mothers are named Martha is fricking stupid, If he wanted to portrait that Superman was actually human, Snyder had 3 million otherways than to depend on "MARTHAAAA".

The riddler was moronic but Martha was convoluted, moronic and tried to pass itself as more meaningful and deep when it was never thought much an is most likely a first draft idea.

Snyder's world is more fun and interesting, but The Batman is by far the better film of these two. I love Batman v Superman, but definitely not in the way Snyder intended. It's probably the biggest budget "so bad it's good" film I've ever watched. I turn this shit on for bad movie night at it always hits. The fricking piss jar, Luthor giving every superhero his own logo, Martha, etc. It's a constant stream of stupid ideas. I do think that Snyder's Justice League redeems it though. Great film, and honestly probably the only genuinely good thing Snyder has ever made.

Also Nolan is a hack autist.

That's the way I feel about The Batman, except it's so bad I couldn't sit through the whole thing even once. Thumb drive, El rata alada, everybody calling Batman "vengeance", Batman punching Gordon, the faces Batman makes when he's trying to be angry, Ave Maria and Riddler's whole performance, the Joker scene with him giggling awkwardly. It just all came off like a total moron tried to do a Nolan-esque Batman, but even more gritty and self-serious, to the point that it often turned to unintentional comedy. Seriously, people laughed at Riddler's autistic screeching, and that didn't happen with BvS.

The Batman has more artistic integrity than any of those movies.
Sneedershit is all CG, Nolanshit is poetic homosexualry, and Burtonshit is the lesser BTAS.
The Batman is the peak of capeshit. It's all downhill after it.

          >Artistic integrity
LMFAO. It's one of the most dishonest films in recent memory. Basically just some Fincher tropes combined with Nolan's Batman. It's an embarrassingly tryhard attempt at one upping Nolan at his own game.

Everyone with eyes can tell that Hack Reeves stole the entire style of the film from Se7en. And he tried to out Nolan Nolan by going even more "gritty" and "realistic" with things like the ridiculous gliding suit instead of a glider cape. I wouldn't be surprised if those rumors were true that Hack Reeves plagiarized the screenplay from a comic script. He stole ideas and some specific shots from The Dark Knight and BvS.

Almost every new thread is about some anon watching it for the first time and hating it. Kek. Must hurt, you're here 24/7 trying to shift the narrative around this movie but nobody is buying it and so you keep replying until you hopefully get the last word so that you can delude yourself into thinking you won the argument.

But here's the facts. This is a soulless piece of goyslop that won't have the staying power genuine cinema. If it's remembered, it'll be the same way The Force Awakens is remembered i.e as a shallow piece of corporate slop.

in what way? burton and nolan revitalised the character, burton by pushing batman to be ever more dark and nolan for his realism schtick - what the frick did snyder do other than make batman kill?

                >Whining about Batman killin
its not whining when it goes against the characters established ethos - you degenerates literally cry about skin color lol gtfo

So therefore it isn't cope. moron.

it is cope because you're arguing the snyder didn't ruin batman AND superman.

but leaving that aside why dont tards ever bring up the fact that the movie is a narrative mess that the plot is incoherent or the fact that they tried to shoehorn in an entire extended universe without ANY set up?

                >it is cope because you're arguing the snyder didn't ruin batman AND superman
When did I say that? Snyder "ruined" Superman in Man of Steel, which is an entirely different topic.
                >why dont tards ever bring up the fact that the movie is a narrative mess that the plot is incoherent
Because you didn't watch the Ultimate Edition
                >or the fact that they tried to shoehorn in an entire extended universe without ANY set up?
Because WB wanted to compete with Civil War at the time despite Snyder insisting on more setup movies, which is surprisingly far from the worst idea WB has done, considering the following interference on Suicide Squad and Josstice League.

I hate capeshit but I actually tried watching Batman v Superman.
I sincerely, honestly tried. I downloaded it and pressed play, started to watch it, but the moment other superheroes start showing it I can't take it.
that's why after Avengers 1 I couldn't stand superheroe movies anymore, it's a fricking shitstorm with 500 different heroes from differnt universes or whatever the frick, it's too shit.
it's probably why I was able to watch joker and pattinson's batman, although the latter wasn't as good.
the moment it turns into the heroes club I'm out.

why is it this tendency? why can't those morons make movies like nolan's batman? 1 hero and a couple of bad guys.
is it lack of competence to right a decent story? i really wish I could understand it.
it's always 50 heroes, same tired humor and the reddit one-liners, cgi cringefest battles

Shared universes became the box office draw after Avengers took off. It's why Universal attempted their own thing with the monsterverse, the DCEU, and so on. But they couldn't replicate the same level of success.
I agree that solo movies are superior a lot of the time.
