Well that's the thing, despite their b***hing about Hollywood, they're hacks who comic up with the blandestsafest ideas.

      The Rippaverse effect

You know what really bugs me about Rippa, it's the fact that he just has no ideas, like what reason for Isom have to retire from superheroics.

      It wasn't for him.

A simple google search tells me this is a companion comic to a graphic novel written by Sylvestor Stallone and Chuck Dixon. This is an "official" product that just happens to be crowdfunded.

So what your telling me is that this is a charity job no one really wanted to read.

Why give it to a hack like the Critical Drinker?

I enjoy his stuff but his latest review of Indiana Jones 5 was a miss for me. Sure I agreed with what he said but the review felt uninspired. I suppose if the movies keep being the same old shit then so will the reviews .

Because deep down he's dying, Reviewing this shit over and over just gets fricking tedious and while some brain-dead morons enjoy kicking a dead horse he can tell this is going to be the rest of his career, his books are bleh, and this is the only way he can make money.

No talking about things his likes because the moment he does that he's stuck with having an actual opinion, nope he just has to say all the things that are shit, are shit and all the things that are good, good, just remember to mention all the woke shit like a woman getting the upper hand of a man that's impossible.

          >So what your telling me is that this is a charity job no one really wanted to read.
I'm not sure how you're coming to that conclusion, and I'm not interested in this myself. I'm just saying this was done under the direction of Sylvestor Stallone, and I doubt he's suing himself.
          >Why give it to a hack like the Critical Drinker?
Again, I have only vague ideas who any of these people are and do not care. But if you don't like this because he does hot takes on social media, or he's a youtuber, or he has no prior writing credits, I would submit that this doesn't seem markedly different from what the big 2 have been doing.
The only difference is this is crowdfunded, and it's currently sitting at over $200K. Somebody wants it. Not many, but they're there and they're willing to pay.

Nobody said this. People took it and there was a lot of Malding to credit Trump for cutting some red tape as if that made up for the insider trading that happened near the start of the pandemic. In general, it was moronic that both parties tried to make the vaccine a win for them rather than the scientists who actually made the damn thing, but there was a lot more Repubs screaming “THANK TRUMP!!!!” when people took their vaccines that they inevitably stopped doing once the pivot was to go full anti-vaxx and claim the shot gives AIDS or whatever.

The live-action Disney remakes for example. Obviously bad because they're soulless, nostalgia cash-grabs. Wokeness is there, but ultimately has very little if anything to do with why they flopped. Into the Spiderverse on the otherhand is so woke it might have made turned Gwen Stacy trans, did just fine.

See the sheriff would have been interesting, but no he's gotta go with the dull answer.

Like Helena is far from the worst thing in the new Indian Jones, and she is setup as less of a replacement for Jones than fricking Mutt was.

Because despite being a dick there's an element of tragedy to him.

He's nearing a mental breakdown, he loses someone who he thought as a friend, he getting divorced and his father just died in a stupid accident.

Also he was in the Korean war.

Also does anyone expect a ending as sad as the first Rambo movie or will we get a ending with the colonel getting away stoicly vowing to train more men to fight for America.

She's a bad guy, but that's basically the point. The movie seems to be setting up that the adventure with Jones changes her for the better, but the movie ends so abruptly that we just gotta assume it happens.

      Ehhhh.

He catches all the movie's faults where there's a woman involved, but grossly misses everything else that is glaringly wrong with the movie. Like in the Puss in Boots one, there was not a peep about Perrito being obnoxious and serving no purpose. Not a peep about Death going after Puss despite Puss having 1 life left, which sounds quite unfair.
But if the movie has a female, he jumps on her right away and points out all that's wrong with it.

Don't get me wrong. I agree with everything he says about the strong female leads being cancer to the industry. But rather than a movie critique, it feels like plain woman hating if you dedicate the video just to that and ignore everything else that's wrong with the movie.

He's not a movie critic. He just has mommy issues.

        >there was not a peep about Perrito being obnoxious and serving no purpose.
He did serve a purpose. He was the example of a character who didn't need a wish and already was content enough with his life, which is an important contrast to make in a cast full of wish hunters. He was also there when Puss needed him the most, and Puss definitely needed Perrito because he wouldn't be able to deal with all the shit that was happening to him alone.
        >Not a peep about Death going after Puss despite Puss having 1 life left, which sounds quite unfair.
No shit it was unfair, Death was being petty because he couldn't stand Puss mocking him. People mistakenly think Death is a fair antagonist but he's still a villain after all.
