Ok, did some googling. This is all part of the same thing from 2018, with the accusations mostly for bad jokes that Gunn acknowledges were bad jokes from the very early 2010s. There's nothing new here. Go jump in a frozen lake, Snyderbro.

Any film director you like ever happen to hang out with Kevin Spacey or Bryan Singer? Oh, you mean like half of Hollywood? Guess what: Hollywood is ALL creeps and perverts. Don't pretend your precious Snyder is some kind of saint.

You will never be a real pedophile, you will never molest a child, you will never date a minor. You are a weeb kid twisted by anime and media into a crude mockery of sex offending perfection.
All the “dicky” you get is fake and inaccurate. Behind your back hentai artists mog you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your discord “friends” laugh at your shitty taste in group chats without you.
Little girls are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff child asses with incredible efficiency. Even e-girlcons who “pass” as pe dos are secretly moralgays or feds. Your dicky memeing a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a little girl home with you, she’ll turn tail and bolt the second she gets a whiff of your cum smelling basement room.
You will never sex offend. You wrench out a fake uoh every single time you see a e-girl and tell yourself it’s cute and funny, but deep inside you feel the post nut clarity creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable guilt.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy a bodypillow, make fumo memes, leave discord, and plunge into the reality. Your parents will see your search history, heartbroken and disgusted that they have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll report you to authorities and register you as a sex offender, and every child for the rest of eternity will be told to stay away from you. Your coomer mindset will manifest and force you go back to the basement, and all that will remain of your legacy is a dicky post that is unmistakably getting you banned off your fav community.

I will never be a pedophile. Good to know.

Why do you think it’s just Snyder fans? I’ve hated Gunn since I was a kid and he wrote those Scooby Doo movies, which were one of the patient zeroes of modern writing. I’ve disliked everything he’s wrote since . I’m at best apathetic about Snyder.

People can hate on this book all they want but this is the second issue that the team is done with an experimental approach to the layout (the first was Nightwing #87) and I can't wait to see how it turns out.

Wasn't there a Fantistic 4 comic that experimented with 1st POV? I think it was under Byrne, regardless. I refuse to pick up another Tom Taylor as long as I live. He ruined Jon Kent, can not and will not forgive him for that.

And I assume just like the first it's gonna be pretty blatantly plotted by Redondo and Taylor will slap dialogue all over it to justify his writing credit

The writing has been questionable but the art in the book has been great. It feels like Taylor at least kind of gets that and is letting the art take the focus and Redondo is doing some experimental stuff now.

    FORGING THE FUTURE!
The Metropolis of the future is here today, but can it survive a terrorist who’s out for revenge against its builder—John Henry Irons, a.k.a. Steel—and his company, Steelworks…and who possesses secrets that could undo everything John has worked so hard to build?
While John’s professional life is firing on all cylinders, his personal life is even better, as his on-again, off-again relationship with Lana Lang might be back on, permanently. Now he must decide whether it’s time to give up being Steel once and for all. But does John even know who he would be without his superhero identity? How does the other Steel—John’s niece, Natasha Irons—feel about his momentous decision? And does any of that matter if Steelworks crumbles around him when he lacks the superpowers to fight back?
Writer Michael Dorn (the voice of Steel in Superman: The Animated Series) teams up with artist Sami Basri (Harley Quinn, Catwoman) to bring you the next chapter of Steel’s saga in this not-to-be missed six-issue miniseries!

This is the weirdest thing to be pissy about, this is so weird to me.
I’ve talked to old creators and editors and covers sometimes got done last minute even back in the day. Neal Adams once told me Joe Kubert did a cover on a lunch break. Modern digitally painted covers are more work intensive so naturally some take more time. It’ll be done by the time the issue is out.

The penultimate issue of this hit miniseries features an unusual break in format, as we will see Edward Nashton constructing his master plan for taking down the corrupt officials and criminals of Gotham City in the pages of his journal. As his mind spirals deeper and deeper, so too does his writing become more unhinged. How can he continue to labor at his accounting job by day while also become more enraged by what he’s uncovered?
As shown in The Batman movie, Edward fills thousands of pages with his rantings. Here we get a glimpse into something that was never meant to be seen and a mind equally brilliant and unhinged. By the end, a turning point will be reached and Gotham’s greatest menace will come one step closer to being unleashed. Actor Paul Dano (The Batman) and artist Stevan Subic continue the origin of the Riddler, leading up to his appearance in Matt Reeves’s epic film.

It could be worse. It could be a trigon story

The only 3 Titans stories that anyone ever does are a Trigon story, a Deathstroke story, or a Brother Blood story.

To be fair Brother Blood needs a rework. The New 52 version had him as an avatar of the Red like Beast Boy and Animal Man. The last pre-52 Brother Blood was a douchey teenager.
They should resurrect Sebastian VIII or introduce a new Blood who's more like him and less like the trash they've done for the last 20 years.

This has to be a fake out, no way Taylor is this tone deaf.
If it's not a fake out, then this must be some sort of record, I don't know if a previous Titans series has killed a Titan so early in its run.

      But who is it?
The lack of Raven, Gar and Wally implies it might be one of them, but that could only be possible if this was a fake out, no way they'd be killed off like that.
So it's probably some C-Lister, any predictions?

They can't kill Wally because he's still the main Flash in the solo book and Taylor doesn't have THAT much power so it's either: a literal who, Gar (because Taylor won't kill Raven cuz girl) or somehow Roy dies again

I don't understand what DC is trying to do with this book. First they tease "Return of the JL" the very same day they announce it. Now they are releasing this solicit which seems specifically designed to outrage Titans fans?

It's like they are trying to push this book as their headliner but inexplicably undermining it at the same time. Man, DC editorial is dumb.

She is but like if later they announce a new Batgirl book or whatever in a few months.

They COULD try and risk it and give Steph the solo Batgirl book but she's far and away the biggest risk of the 3 to do so, she's popular but significantly less so than Cass and Babs.

            >According to DC Connect, this book is ending too.
Wait, seriously?! That is actually shocking. I mean, they were hyping Tim Drake up hard.

I would have at least expected 18 issues. You would think they would want to give him more/equal issues than Damian’s solo did. Especially since it looks bad for optics.

Maybe they will relaunch his book like they did with Jon Kent.

I expected 12 issues. This is a pleasant surprise.

I bet the Brave and the Bold movie with Damian announcement changed DC’s plans.

Damian's book outsold Tim's, but it didn't sell very well, sadly.

Damian and Jason wouldn't have been able to do shit to Tim if DC didn't intentionally strip Tim of every single thing that made him unique as a supporting character so he would better fit the "iconic" image of Robin the new bosses envisioned.

They turned Tim into Dick 2.0
They killed Jack, they killed Steph, and they put Dana on a bus.
They made Tim Drake lead the Titans, hanging out with Beast Boy and Raven and Cyborg.
They had Bruce adopt Tim and even went so far as to explicitly put Tim in Dick's old bedroom.
They pushed the idea that Tim was now Bruce's son, and even had Tim start calling himself Tim Wayne.
                And then Damian showed up.

Tim started as a breath of fresh air without the trauma, drama, and drive of Bruce and Dick, and ended up nearly suicidal and obsessive, as a poor copy of the worst aspects of 00s Batman.
                Damian was never the problem.

        Here's your Hawk book bro
        >Hawkgirl from Jadzia Axelrod and Amancay Nahuelpan will debut in July. This is Jadzia’s first mainline DC work and Galaxy will be making an appearance!
        >Kendra Saunders, the winged warrior better known as Hawkgirl, has been one of the DC Universe’s greatest heroes for a long time, serving as a member of both the Justice League and the Justice Society. But with the Justice League disbanded, Kendra decides she needs a fresh start and heads to Metropolis to begin a new life. That life is quickly interrupted by a mysterious villain with a powerful connection to the Nth Metal that makes up Hawkgirl’s wings and weapons. Hawkgirl will also feature a series of variant covers that recount Kendra’s DC history. Hawkgirl #1 will be available on July 18 at local comic shops.

But anon that'd mean having to read on the character's backstory, and god knows *checks notes* Jadzia Axelrod is way too busy to do that. Much easier to just choose a generic hero city to have generic hero adventures in the background of what undoubtely will be a deep exploration of Kendra's character as we discover she was actually a man all this time.

Honest question, aside being well written what made Flash (a non batwank property) survive so long as it did and what solution can these other books do so they don't get canned under 20 issues?

      Anonymous

Honestly I think it's not feasible for anyone else, because I feel like it comes down to WB. Between the CW series and how big the psycho playing Barry in the movies is (seriously he has to have dirt on someone important right?) Flash has been around in the Hollywood side of things for a while now, and since they can't distinguish Barry and Wally they're just happy with a book titled Flash on the shelves.
I mean just look at most of the non-batman books they keep around; Supes, Wondy, Flash, Harley Quinn and now Peacemaker are the stars (Adam and Billy too), and they're also the big guys on screen. And hell, there's evidence the other way too; the guy that plays Aquaman is rumored to be recast as Lobo and suddenly the Aquaman push ends.

Because Wally came back and was the protag again?

He was Flash from 1987 to 2007ish and DC only dumped him because Didio wanted his Flash back. The dude is so popular he was ranking top 10 in fan favorite polls 5-6 years in when being gone. Most other characters tank when they're out of sight for that long (eg Tim).

Damn a lot has happened. I hope a silver lining is that DC reprints more old comics, since those always tend to be money makers (at least back when I was more regular here). I was mostly motivated to come back after rereading some of my Tales of the Batman volumes, but those were already kind of hard to get back then.

      >see discussion that suggests that it's rare for series to be sold as ongoings anymore
It's true, DC's new strategy is any new non-batfamily book is slated for 6 issues and if the first 3-4 issues sell decently they will increase to 12 and then as an ongoing if sells well at 8-9 issues
Poison Ivy was the first they did that to. Though with Tim's book and Batgirls also being flops I'm curious if they will also do it to any other batfamily books.
