REVENGE IS FOR THE BIRDS.
After retiring to Metropolis following his “death,” Oswald Cobblepot finds himself forced back into the unpredictable and violent Gotham City underworld as a pawn for the United States intelligence community! Gotham’s criminal element has been evolving since he was last in the city, with his bastard twin children ruling the Iceberg Lounge. And what of the man he framed for his death—Batman? Is the Penguin walking into a death sentence?
From award-winning and bestselling writer Tom King (Batman, The Human Target) and artist Stefano Gaudiano (Gotham Central, The Walking Dead) comes a bloody, hard-boiled tale of redemption and revenge!
Good grief. Tom King is now being given a hundred books because James Pedo Gunn recommended him. Thanks all lot.
Did Gunn do something after 2018 to make the "pedo" thing a meme again?
No, it's about him hanging out with pedophiles and going to pedophile themed parties.
When was this?
Long before he was hired by Marvel.
>hanging out with pedophiles and going to pedophile theme parties are just bad jokes
Any film director you like ever happen to hang out with Kevin Spacey or Bryan Singer? Oh, you mean like half of Hollywood? Guess what: Hollywood is ALL creeps and perverts. Don't pretend your precious Snyder is some kind of saint.
I will never be a pedophile. Good to know.
Sounds like this guy is one though
Why do you think it’s just Snyder fans? I’ve hated Gunn since I was a kid and he wrote those Scooby Doo movies, which were one of the patient zeroes of modern writing. I’ve disliked everything he’s wrote since . I’m at best apathetic about Snyder.
Show me where on the doll the Gunn scripts for Scooby-Doo touched you, sir.
The show was pretty fun.
John Cena making good deals to leech money off of clueless WB suits does not make the turbopush Peacemaker is getting any less forced.
It may be forced, but people know about this Peacemaker fella, so he gets to be used.
>defending a pedophile to dunk on a non-existent poo-in-loo snyder fan
I'm against pedophiles, anon. I don't give a shit about Snyder.
Ok, did some googling. This is all part of the same thing from 2018, with the accusations mostly for bad jokes that Gunn acknowledges were bad jokes from the very early 2010s. There's nothing new here. Go jump in a frozen lake, Snyderbro.
You will never be a real pedophile, you will never molest a child, you will never date a minor. You are a weeb kid twisted by anime and media into a crude mockery of sex offending perfection.
All the “dicky” you get is fake and inaccurate. Behind your back hentai artists mog you. Your parents are disgusted and ashamed of you, your discord “friends” laugh at your shitty taste in group chats without you.
Little girls are utterly repulsed by you. Thousands of years of evolution have allowed men to sniff child asses with incredible efficiency. Even e-girlcons who “pass” as pe dos are secretly moralgays or feds. Your dicky memeing a dead giveaway. And even if you manage to get a little girl home with you, she’ll turn tail and bolt the second she gets a whiff of your cum smelling basement room.
You will never sex offend. You wrench out a fake uoh every single time you see a e-girl and tell yourself it’s cute and funny, but deep inside you feel the post nut clarity creeping up like a weed, ready to crush you under the unbearable guilt.
Eventually it’ll be too much to bear - you’ll buy a bodypillow, make fumo memes, leave discord, and plunge into the reality. Your parents will see your search history, heartbroken and disgusted that they have to live with the unbearable shame and disappointment. They’ll report you to authorities and register you as a sex offender, and every child for the rest of eternity will be told to stay away from you. Your coomer mindset will manifest and force you go back to the basement, and all that will remain of your legacy is a dicky post that is unmistakably getting you banned off your fav community.
He got the CEO job and is killing the Snyderverse for good, so now all the Snyder schizos are sperging out.
Tom King gets work because he sells comics

Masterminds Tom Taylor and Bruno Redondo are back at it again to present Nightwing fans another special issue uniquely designed for them to be Nightwing for a day! This oversize story will feature Nightwing from his point of view, allowing readers to use his escrima sticks and leap through Blüdhaven! You don’t want to miss this issue, as there’ll be other surprises along the way, including who’ll show up beside you!
People can hate on this book all they want but this is the second issue that the team is done with an experimental approach to the layout (the first was Nightwing #87) and I can't wait to see how it turns out.
Wasn't there a Fantistic 4 comic that experimented with 1st POV? I think it was under Byrne, regardless. I refuse to pick up another Tom Taylor as long as I live. He ruined Jon Kent, can not and will not forgive him for that.
Bendis ruined Jon Kent, all Taylor did was make him gay.
You could've fixed what Bendis did, you can't fix what Taylor did. Now no one likes the character with solidarity.
And I assume just like the first it's gonna be pretty blatantly plotted by Redondo and Taylor will slap dialogue all over it to justify his writing credit
The writing has been questionable but the art in the book has been great. It feels like Taylor at least kind of gets that and is letting the art take the focus and Redondo is doing some experimental stuff now.
booba
I hope to see a lot of boobs, if not, it's another mischaracterization of Taylor
POV? I know what I want to see, but these motherfrickers don't have the guts
Usually I'm glad when artists are allowed to stretch their creative muscles but jesus christ where is the PLOT
Taylor is almost 30 issues in and it could easily be compressed into 12 issues without losing too much
Taylor and Redondo want Nightwing to get an eisner so bad lmao.
I'll save you some time. Every single one is unreadable garbage. The big two are shit and always have been.

What's the saying—two cats are better than one? Unless you’re in Gotham and the two Cats in question disagree on how the city should be run. With Selina freshly out of jail, Eiko Hasigawa has some unfinished business as Catwoman that Selina confronts her about.
Meanwhile, Selina has some unfinished business of her own…and pays a visit her sister, Maggie.

No I will not read your Selina fricks old ugly bastard shit
Ram V's run then
he's one of the few decent writers for her.
He should have stayed on the book. Howard's run is terrible, and Ram V's other works on Venom, Carnage and Tec aren't as good as Catwoman so for me
I think everyone feels that way. I've been waiting every month for over a year to finally see a new writer in these solicits.
they sure are pumping out variant covers to sell this trash though.
the 2018 run is unironically her best since the 8 issues Darwyn Cooke worked on.
Only complaint is Ram V should've been writing from the start with Joelle just doing the art
sad but true. I think ram's run is a bit overrated but it's still fine, whereas jones' and howard's runs are terrible.
I liked his characterization but the bradley shit was gross and he wanted to kill her off. then didio wanted to kill her off again more recently. feels like DC and most writers don't really care about the character and have a very shallow understanding of her (tini, all of new 52).

TWO Peacemaker books? I didn't even think they started shooting Season 2.
bummed this is only a limited series, unless they're going to do like Poison Ivy and extend it based on sales
I think the Big two now just do that.
They release a book and if is bad it became a miniseries but if is good it became an ongoing.
Boom has been doing it as well
Everyone could tell Briar and Damn Them All were clearly setting up to be ongoing despite being solicited as miniseries'
What are some Marvel examples
Not him but the current Ghost Rider run gave me that same impression. I don't actually know if it was planned though.
>unless they're going to do like Poison Ivy and extend it based on sales
According to Williamson, that's exactly the idea, he's been asking everyone to buy it so it can become an ongoing.
>GA series finally
>it's a mini
>they shove fricking Peacemaker in there for good measure
god I'm so tired of this shit
Peacemaker is there exactly to bait people into buying it so it can become an ongoing.
Is there a single Peacemaker fan in the world?
He got a somewhat popular show starring a certain unknown actor, you might've heard of it.
Rewatching the show right now, it’s actually pretty good.
God I really hope this book sells enough to become ongoing.
No. Now go and cry in corner anon

Is DC Comics so poor they can’t afford to pay artists that can finish covers?
This is the weirdest thing to be pissy about, this is so weird to me.
I’ve talked to old creators and editors and covers sometimes got done last minute even back in the day. Neal Adams once told me Joe Kubert did a cover on a lunch break. Modern digitally painted covers are more work intensive so naturally some take more time. It’ll be done by the time the issue is out.
I'll be checking these out.

>We're already killing Titans?
Interested to read the Titans book. Making the Titans take over the JL could lead to new interesting plotlines, new ideas and new situations for the characters.
>Reads
Alright nevermind.
Taylor, come on.
WOAH A TITAN..DIES!?
>A Titan is murdered!
That was quick.
haahahaha
>A Titan is murdered!
Fricking really? On the second issue?
Nicola Scott really phoned that cover in.
Also lol a brother blood storyline, titans is truly the most creatively bankrupt franchise.
It could be worse. It could be a trigon story
Although trigon hasn't been used it years and blood was used in the gend bend universe and the titans universe comics last year
The only 3 Titans stories that anyone ever does are a Trigon story, a Deathstroke story, or a Brother Blood story.
To be fair Brother Blood needs a rework. The New 52 version had him as an avatar of the Red like Beast Boy and Animal Man. The last pre-52 Brother Blood was a douchey teenager.
They should resurrect Sebastian VIII or introduce a new Blood who's more like him and less like the trash they've done for the last 20 years.
This has to be a fake out, no way Taylor is this tone deaf.
If it's not a fake out, then this must be some sort of record, I don't know if a previous Titans series has killed a Titan so early in its run.
Really? I was hoping we'd get a break from 'LOL Titan character dies for shock value'.
That's like all this shitty ass franchise has, a million and one disposable characters to kill off for shock value.
But who is it?
The lack of Raven, Gar and Wally implies it might be one of them, but that could only be possible if this was a fake out, no way they'd be killed off like that.
So it's probably some C-Lister, any predictions?
They can't kill Wally because he's still the main Flash in the solo book and Taylor doesn't have THAT much power so it's either: a literal who, Gar (because Taylor won't kill Raven cuz girl) or somehow Roy dies again
I don't understand what DC is trying to do with this book. First they tease "Return of the JL" the very same day they announce it. Now they are releasing this solicit which seems specifically designed to outrage Titans fans?
It's like they are trying to push this book as their headliner but inexplicably undermining it at the same time. Man, DC editorial is dumb.
>Man, DC editorial is dumb.
True
Even Titans themselves want to surpass Justice League
But DC writers always shits on them and make them biggest jobbers
Even fricking teen titans Go is making fun of Titans
TAYLOR
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
STOP JUST STOP
It's totally gonna be Garth. DC has no idea what to do with him and people might actually kinda care.
What if they kill Aquagirl again?
For frick's sake
Every one of you gays who shilled Injustice deserves this book. I hope he does nothing but NTT rehashes.

Cyborg’s faced aliens, demons, and extradimensional forces, but a robot that claims to be his father, Silas Stone, breaking into his childhood home isn’t something he’d ever expect! Cyborg needs answers from the suspicious new corporation in town, Solace, to get to the bottom of this. Is this a decoy or the real deal? Either way, Victor’s time in Detroit just got a lot more complicated!
That's an infinitely better design than most of the ones he's had in the last well long long time he actually.. Looks like a Cyborg and not just a robot with half a human face
Only other Cyborg designs that actually acomplished that in the last decade were the DCYOU one which lasted like what a few months? and Young Justice animated.

As the Adams run races to the finish line, get a prelude to the new Dawn of DC chapter of the Fastest Man Alive’s adventures from the dream team of Simon Spurrier (Coda, Detective Comics) and Mike Deodato Jr. (Avengers)!
So sad the Adams run is ending. Really wish he could have ended it on his own terms. But I'll be there. You should too, or you'll be square.
It's so infuriating that Howard is getting more books instead of getting the boot. At least Adams gets Green Lantern, which looks pretty cool.
Is Johns gonna hit us with some more Rogues kino like in Flash #750?

As she struggles to escape, her life as Wonder Woman hangs in the balance. When the dust settles, will she still be the Amazons’ greatest champion? Find out in this extra-special celebration!
>“Whatever Happened to the Warrior of Truth?”
1) It should be SPIRIT of Truth. Frick you and die.
2) Frick that title for so many reasons, I don't even know where to begin. Whoever cleared that needs to be stabbed. A lot.
Even though neither run is my favorite, I feel bad for Cloonan and Conrad that both of their runs are ending at the same time. Feels like a kick to the stomach. And pretty bummed that Steph has no comic book home after June.
Frick Cloonan. That's what she gets for plagiarizing Gunnerkrigg Court of all things. Karma's a b***h, motherfricker.

When did Natasha Irons get hit with the gay stick? Is funny that I’m the 90s she had a storyline where she got or feared getting aids.
The 90s when she was fricking traci 13 and cir el
She was actually the first to turn queer in the Super family, with Traci 13

DC Pride: Through the Years collects:
• The Flash #53 (1991), in which villain-turned-hero Pied Piper comes out to his friend the Flash and helps thwart a dastardly villain
• Detective Comics #854 (2009), the thrilling beginning of Batwoman’s first solo series, which would launch her into stardom
• Supergirl #19 (2018), which tells the story of Lee Serano—a nonbinary teenager who befriends the Girl of Steel
• An all-new story starring Alan Scott, which will light the way to his next great adventure as Green Lantern!
DC turned Supergirl gay now?
Yes, since August 2022.
Try to keep up.
>An all-new story starring Alan Scott,
it's funny that there were littery zero stories that have Scott come off as Gay at all in that book that is entirely made up of reprints from old books needs to make up a new one to show off how Gay Alan Scott is. shows how stupid the decision to make him gay was.
DC will take any opportunity they can take to ignore Obsidian.

>Batman Incorporated may have to cross a line the group promised never to cross.
Nearly every work of fiction ever where the heroes have to kill: "Oh no I feel terrible, but it had to be done."
In DC when a hero kills: "Ohhh nooo I'm going crazy! Hee hee haha I'm the joker now and I kill for fun!"
You sure showed that strawman.

According to DC Connect, this book is ending too. Wild. I would have expected them to go for a full 6 issue second trade. Guess Knight Terrors is an easy cancellation excuse.
I bet the Brave and the Bold movie with Damian announcement changed DC’s plans.
>According to DC Connect, this book is ending too. Wild.
I saw it coming, the first issue of the series was literally at ranked at #92. It was a dud from the get-go.
I believe you, but I'd also like a direct source, give me a link or a pic or something.
I guess that's that, I'm honestly kinda gonna miss how bad this comic was.
Maybe you're in luck and there'll be two more Knight Terrors issues to fill up the trade.
Dang. That was quick.
Good fricking riddance, here's hoping Fitzmartin fricks off too.
RIP timmers
Time to kill him off already, he’s never going to be relevant in animation, live action or comics again.
>According to DC Connect, this book is ending too.
Wait, seriously?! That is actually shocking. I mean, they were hyping Tim Drake up hard.
I would have at least expected 18 issues. You would think they would want to give him more/equal issues than Damian’s solo did. Especially since it looks bad for optics.
Maybe they will relaunch his book like they did with Jon Kent.
>Maybe they will relaunch his book like they did with Jon Kent.
Jon didn't get a relaunch, he got a mini, which I could still see happening to Tim.
I can definitely see Tim get a mini.
It didn’t even make top #200 in February. Tim’s Robin solo used to be a top 50 book in the 90s..
you can't compare 90s Tim to the trash they're putting out now. Might as well be a completely different character
>Especially since it looks bad for optics.
Can you get bad optics if literally no one gives a shit about this?
Bro, even LoCG is dancing on this comic's grave

The penultimate issue of this hit miniseries features an unusual break in format, as we will see Edward Nashton constructing his master plan for taking down the corrupt officials and criminals of Gotham City in the pages of his journal. As his mind spirals deeper and deeper, so too does his writing become more unhinged. How can he continue to labor at his accounting job by day while also become more enraged by what he’s uncovered?
As shown in The Batman movie, Edward fills thousands of pages with his rantings. Here we get a glimpse into something that was never meant to be seen and a mind equally brilliant and unhinged. By the end, a turning point will be reached and Gotham’s greatest menace will come one step closer to being unleashed. Actor Paul Dano (The Batman) and artist Stevan Subic continue the origin of the Riddler, leading up to his appearance in Matt Reeves’s epic film.

>canned
Haha eat shit Barbara taking her place back soon
and babs fans continue to be buttholes
Batprostitute won’t be getting shit outside of being the token.
If anyone gets a solo Batgirl book following this it's gonna be Cass. Feels like DC has been pushing her as THE main Batgirl as of late.
isn't Cass in that Spirit World Lazarus Planet spin off
She is but like if later they announce a new Batgirl book or whatever in a few months.
They COULD try and risk it and give Steph the solo Batgirl book but she's far and away the biggest risk of the 3 to do so, she's popular but significantly less so than Cass and Babs.
>"Hey, I want a book about the Batgirls being a team!"
>monkey's paw curls
>it's by that moron who shat out Gotham Academy
I fricking hate comic books so much.
Gotham academy was kino she just can't polish the turd that is the knockoff batgirls
Bummed that they didn't even try to right the ship with this. Batgirls is a great concept, but the way this title was written just wasn't doing it for any of the fans. Babs can get infinite relaunches but Cass and Steph will probably be shuffled off to sporadic guest appearances.
Imo i felt it got better in the last few issues. Not great but better
Agreed, it was just too late.
Such a disappointment.
What happens to the characters now?
They die
They’re free to lez out
Will they make steph and cass lez out to honor pride month and the last issue?
Supposedly that’s why they waited until Pride month for the reveal.
>the beloved series!
Not beloved enough to support sales
It lasted 19 issues. Better than damians last run
Damian bros... the Batgirl Stacies are making fun of us again...
>Damiangays are making fun of Tim chads
>Batgirl sisters are making fun of damiaNgays
LMAO
He got shadow war, Batman v Robin and Lazarus Planet. Not the same thing.
It would have had to be good first. Or even okay.
I'm the biggest cass/steph fan on the planet and I just couldn't read Batgirls. It was so shitty I never got through one full issue of it.
It did get readable the last arc or so. Not.great but they finally felt like they had a better handle on them
RIP Batgirls. at least Cass and Babs have books to fall back to for the time being but Steph is homeless now.
>Come join the Batgirls in the march to celebrate them in this last issue of the beloved series!
So beloved that it didnt even make 20 issues?
Feels like a backhanded compliment.

>But did the hierarchy of power in the DC universe change?
>In the series finale
Good riddance.
Did anyone like this book?
I like it. But I'm a die hard Priest fan.
I agree, anon. Cloonan would have been much better on more indie-style books, not a book that is supposed to have mainstream fan appeal like Batgirls or Wonder Woman.
"Le too many Batbooks" meme again.
>"Le too many Batbooks" meme again.
yeah, it's barely 44% of the books this month, no big deal
It's not a meme if it's true. I'll give them this, at least it's not more than half their output anymore.
>Batdrone thinks Cloonan belongs on anything but unemployment and also worships indieshit
Holy shit. have a nice day.
What the frick do you like then
so hostile. how about you jump in a frozen lake.
I expected 12 issues. This is a pleasant surprise.
Damian's book outsold Tim's, but it didn't sell very well, sadly.
Yeah. But DC occasionally does synergy. Like the big Black Adam and Suicide Squad push. It is why Black Adam turned into the Rock in Dark Crisis.
Why mad, all people agree that cloonan has been a dud in those 2 series
>Less issues than both Damian books
>Less issues than Batgirls
>Less issues than fricking Jason Taskforce Z
I'm gonna say this, Tim doesn't fit the main earth anymore, Diddio got at least 1 kill
Tim can sell if he got a book that want entirely about his sexual orientation with art that isn’t even aesthetic pleasing for the people who’d care about that.
Some books have bad writing
Some books have bad art
Tim's book had both
The character has been a mess since 2011 and is part of the problem
But h also is like rick jones, one a great kid/teen character for the younger readers but once the universe got 100 of those characters people stop giving a shit about him
>The character has been a mess since 2011 and is part of the problem
The character has been a mess since 2003 and is part of the problem
Fixed.
Maybe? Dixon leaving fricked Tim more than Dick, but Damian/Jason introduction first and Lobdell titans fricked Tim more.
Kon is the only that survived and barely(John a kid again will frick Kon more and more)
I have faith of Jeremy because he wrote GL TAS.
At least he knows the corps unlike the previous writer
Damian and Jason wouldn't have been able to do shit to Tim if DC didn't intentionally strip Tim of every single thing that made him unique as a supporting character so he would better fit the "iconic" image of Robin the new bosses envisioned.
They turned Tim into Dick 2.0
They killed Jack, they killed Steph, and they put Dana on a bus.
They made Tim Drake lead the Titans, hanging out with Beast Boy and Raven and Cyborg.
They had Bruce adopt Tim and even went so far as to explicitly put Tim in Dick's old bedroom.
They pushed the idea that Tim was now Bruce's son, and even had Tim start calling himself Tim Wayne.
And then Damian showed up.
Tim started as a breath of fresh air without the trauma, drama, and drive of Bruce and Dick, and ended up nearly suicidal and obsessive, as a poor copy of the worst aspects of 00s Batman.
Damian was never the problem.
>Why mad, all people agree that cloonan has been a dud in those 2 series
She's been a dud her entire excuse of a career.
>I'm gonna say this, Tim doesn't fit the main earth anymore, Diddio got at least 1 kill
>The one that Didio tried to hype the most becomes the one that Didio did the most damage to.

Johns is one of the few modern writers who cares and has actually made good things with the JSA.
>"The Death of the JSA"
>good
have a nice day.
Your mother's c**t.
>brought the jsa back twice
>its death
???
That's the title, you blithering moron.
>>it's by Geoff Johns
There is literally no one else that I'd want to write a JSA book.
That's because you're a fricking moron blinded by nostalgia over something that was never good in the first place.

Every fricking time.
To be fair, Batman is the only thing keeping DC from sinking.
Superman and Flash ironically are selling well
Williamson first issue sold great
No shit. First issues sell because of speculators.
New 52 #1 barely got 100k , while this got #1 in some stores.
I know the #1 boost but Superman around 10s was a disaster sales wise
DC Comics will fix everything by making more characters gay or black. DC’s Woke comics will sell more than Avatar 2. Trust me.
I wish the Gunn reboot would fail already so WBD can sell DC Comics to Microsoft or Disney already.
Not a single comic worth printing
>injects hope and life into DC
>gets a new writer that will probably frick everything up
I don't care for Wally's kids.
what?
I DON'T CARE FOR WALLY'S KIDS
how can you even say that anon
She needs to start looking like this:
So a shitty remake of her dads costume in Young Justice?
I do not like Wally's kids or any story involving the "speedforce"
IS TIM BETTER THAN DAMIAN?
Difficult to say, Tim is walking through the wilderness right now.
I'd say the totality of Tim's stuff is better than Damian's but Damian probably peaks higher. All of Tim's good stuff is at least over a decade old too while Damian does have some decent sort of recent stuff
Well. Currently. Damian had a longer run than Tim. So it ain’t looking good.
Most people seem to think so, but I like Damian better.
I prefer modern Damian to modern Tim.
I prefer 90s Tim to any general era of Damian besides the books specifically written by Grant Morrison himself.
Tim has not been good in literal decades.
Damian has never had any good comics ever
That's completely subjective and you know it.
I like Tim more than Damien.
>I have to wait another month at least to finally see if the Hawks get a shitty creative team
God the wait is killing me. I really hope it turns out decent but the shadow of King looms in the distance.
I thought we already knew about the Hawkgirl creative team
...oh. I must have missed that.
Guess it's my own fault for keeping my hopes up.
Hawkgirl is being written by a troony
Here's your Hawk book bro
>Hawkgirl from Jadzia Axelrod and Amancay Nahuelpan will debut in July. This is Jadzia’s first mainline DC work and Galaxy will be making an appearance!
>Kendra Saunders, the winged warrior better known as Hawkgirl, has been one of the DC Universe’s greatest heroes for a long time, serving as a member of both the Justice League and the Justice Society. But with the Justice League disbanded, Kendra decides she needs a fresh start and heads to Metropolis to begin a new life. That life is quickly interrupted by a mysterious villain with a powerful connection to the Nth Metal that makes up Hawkgirl’s wings and weapons. Hawkgirl will also feature a series of variant covers that recount Kendra’s DC history. Hawkgirl #1 will be available on July 18 at local comic shops.
Someone remind me, how old is Kendra supposed to be?
Like, Batman aged? Nightwing aged? Somewhere in the middle?
Kendra is younger than Nightwing actually. She was 19 when introduced in 1999, they turned Dick 20 in 1987.
Well shit, assuming her age hasn't been changed in one of these universal rearrangements, that makes her relationship with Martian Manhunter in Snyder's JL a bit weird in retrospective.
J'onn was the victim there, that was an elderly widower being taken advantage of by a horny teen.
She’s already banged Hawkman, Roy Harper, Sand Hawkins, and the rando who knocked her up at 16 years old, all before she hit with J’onn
Kendra's supposed to be young, she's the next resurrection of Shiera after all. Although technically with the Venditti update she can still work as an older character, since both versions are able to coexist in time
Imagine if this is the one mini that DOESNT get promoted
This is the most aggressively generic description of a comic book I have ever read. Why the frick does nobody have any ideas? This medium is fricked.
Stop fricking going to Metropolis and Gotham holy shit, those places are already crowded, how about going to Midway City for a change?
But anon that'd mean having to read on the character's backstory, and god knows *checks notes* Jadzia Axelrod is way too busy to do that. Much easier to just choose a generic hero city to have generic hero adventures in the background of what undoubtely will be a deep exploration of Kendra's character as we discover she was actually a man all this time.
>Jadzia Axelrod
There's no way someone with a name like that doesn't have videos of them fricking a person in the ass somewhere on the internet.
That is, in a span of 1 year, Batbooks were cancelled: Task Force Z (from the failed Todd), Future State Gotham, I am Batman, Batman Fortress, Batgirls, Robin, Tim Drake Robin.
I wonder what the chances are of a relaunch. I could see characters mashed into groups in an attempt to pare the spares.
Task Force Z was originally solicited as a 12 issue mini, so I'm not convinced it's failed. Same with Batman Fortress.
I hope this melodramatic garbage leads to marriage so we can move on from the rehashed will they wont they bullshit
Anon, King ruined any chance Batman had to marry Catwoman, it's never happening.
I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but didio vetoed the marriage. The chance will always be there it's just a matter of DC milking the status quo.
King wasted the "Bruce getting married" story, they won't be able to do it again.
Ah I get what you mean. I don't think that prevents them from doing it again though. It wouldn't be as hyped but they can still do it.
Is this the pride variant?
No, just a swimsuit variant for the World's Finest book.
It just looks gay because of the art style.
Who the hell makes swim trunks with pockets?
they do exist, I owned a pair once
Omigod. It's all shit. Everything. Even World Finest. Even Wonder Woman. Even Joker Deadly Duo. Even Harley Quinn messes with Multiverse. Even Peacemaker issues. Everything. It is all shit. Don't believe me ? Here's an example of DC comics solicitations right now :

Honest question, aside being well written what made Flash (a non batwank property) survive so long as it did and what solution can these other books do so they don't get canned under 20 issues?
Honestly I think it's not feasible for anyone else, because I feel like it comes down to WB. Between the CW series and how big the psycho playing Barry in the movies is (seriously he has to have dirt on someone important right?) Flash has been around in the Hollywood side of things for a while now, and since they can't distinguish Barry and Wally they're just happy with a book titled Flash on the shelves.
I mean just look at most of the non-batman books they keep around; Supes, Wondy, Flash, Harley Quinn and now Peacemaker are the stars (Adam and Billy too), and they're also the big guys on screen. And hell, there's evidence the other way too; the guy that plays Aquaman is rumored to be recast as Lobo and suddenly the Aquaman push ends.
Because Wally came back and was the protag again?
He was Flash from 1987 to 2007ish and DC only dumped him because Didio wanted his Flash back. The dude is so popular he was ranking top 10 in fan favorite polls 5-6 years in when being gone. Most other characters tank when they're out of sight for that long (eg Tim).
I'm assuming it's a joke somehow but the Titan that dies has to be Beast Boy right? The other guys have books and I don't see him killing a woman
I liked the main Superman book and I hope the Steel one is good because he's cool, but the first Action issue of this new arc was pretty bad imo.
>haven't followed comics in a long time
>come back and check out DC since that was always my poison of choice
>see discussion that suggests that it's rare for series to be sold as ongoings anymore
Damn a lot has happened. I hope a silver lining is that DC reprints more old comics, since those always tend to be money makers (at least back when I was more regular here). I was mostly motivated to come back after rereading some of my Tales of the Batman volumes, but those were already kind of hard to get back then.
>see discussion that suggests that it's rare for series to be sold as ongoings anymore
It's true, DC's new strategy is any new non-batfamily book is slated for 6 issues and if the first 3-4 issues sell decently they will increase to 12 and then as an ongoing if sells well at 8-9 issues
Poison Ivy was the first they did that to. Though with Tim's book and Batgirls also being flops I'm curious if they will also do it to any other batfamily books.
Damn I imagine it's harder to hold a steady job at DC nowadays. I wonder if Marvel is faring any better.
I don't want to buy floppies 🙁
