(First off I was just kidding but undertale has some decent arguments if you highball) chara has shown the ability to reset timelines, undertale has made references to quantum physics, chara has shown the ability to end the world in a single attack (which you could argue is uni but I’ve also heard higher based on quantum physics but idk undertal that well so I’ll just say its uni) and also has shown the ability to corrupt the save file (save files in undertale are connected to how time works so you could argue she can corrupt timelines) so yeah undertale does have some decent scaling if you want to use highballs (dc, marvel, and dragon balls highballs are better tho obviously but they do ok)

In GMK he revives due to pissed off ghost.

Naruto’s power creep made sense to me. In the first chapter, we learn that the tailed fox can cause earthquakes and tsunamis. We saw Gaara and Naruto duking it out in the forest with their monsters. You would also expect the MC to advance his techniques and go beyond chunin exam level. This was visually showcased too. It’s not like DBZ where all the fights feel the same after Frieza and new forms instantly became irrelevant. My only issue was the Uchiha wank and my Rock Lee getting thrown away to the side

Also Gamera defeating Godzilla but only if he's evil is the most in-character thing possible. A major character point for Gamera is that he always wins against evil monsters, no matter how strong they are.
Sans and almost no one else gets to scale to the big boys. He and the others jobbed to Az and Flowey, and Chara is basically the puppet master of it all. Saying that Sans can scale despite getting smacked silly by everyone with timeline fricking powers is like saying you can scale to the guy who broke your legs.

I wouldn’t really say that they were lying around. The genocide route has always been a timeline reset via Chara just cutting it to ribbons. It’s more like people just didn’t really want to bother with that route because it’s tedious as frick.
(First off I was just kidding but undertale has some decent arguments if you highball) chara has shown the ability to reset timelines, undertale has made references to quantum physics, chara has shown the ability to end the world in a single attack (which you could argue is uni but I’ve also heard higher based on quantum physics but idk undertal that well so I’ll just say its uni) and also has shown the ability to corrupt the save file (save files in undertale are connected to how time works so you could argue she can corrupt timelines) so yeah undertale does have some decent scaling if you want to use highballs (dc, marvel, and dragon balls highballs are better tho obviously but they do ok)

Not in terms of battle animation, I don't know much about Undertale but I've never seen anything that suggest it's feats are played out in the form of shonen battle scenes like Dragon Ball.
Short and sweet of it is >Chara can freely make and destroy timelines >Azzy/Flowey with the Souls of the human children had that same level of power and Frisk bested them both while also taking big blasts from both (granted they had help with Flowey)
It does get bumped up to Multiversal since there’re a number of alternate realms in the UT world thanks to Deltarune.

Cell only really shows off his power growth when he was almost completely destroyed though, the kind of damage Vegeta's Final Flash gave him was minimal.
Garou on the contrary has absolutely insane growth. The fight he had with Saitama after he goes Cosmic takes place in a few minutes at most, and they both exponentially increase in power throughout the fight.
Hell, Garou goes from a feat that's closer to speed of light in his original monster form to MFTL within less than a day due to clashing with Saitama. The only reason he stopped was because Saitama kept rising so fast to the point that Garou couldn't leapfrog him with copying fast enough. So even if he starts out with a problem, things will very quickly get out of hand if Cell wants to play.

He's basically diet Saitama, with Garou's deal being that he actually cares about the technicals while Saitama just kind of does shit and hopes it works out.

Garou has been able to regenerate internal organ wounds since he became a monster, but the ability only gets more busted throughout his fights. When he's cosmic he regenerates an entire arm in one panel almost instantaneously. It's not completely out of left field for him to shrug off something more serious.
And though Saiyans do have that ability, it's never as ridiculous as what happened in OPM. You don't see Goku turning into a Frieza-saga character in the middle of his fight with Piccolo. It's that kind of bonkers, in terms of relative growth.

So the battle comes down to Cell using a full power Kamehameha to take down Garou..... it's a matter of when Cell wants to take down Garou and if he wants to play dirty with him. Goku was constantly hyping up Gohan which is why Cell decided to play with him to force his full power to come out.
If Garou is able to reach the level of Cell, I can see him gaining momentum until Cell is forced to tap out. Only counter to this is if Cell decides to just use kaioken on top of his full power which I don't think he's ever done anywhere but I might be wrong on that front.
It's also worth noting that Cell does have access to Zenkais which offer a immense boost of power too.

It's not elaborated upon yet, which is what makes it arguable. Guess it depends on what you prefer to go with for a matchup.
He's also got the Gamma Ray Burst feat.

Naruto’s power creep made sense to me. In the first chapter, we learn that the tailed fox can cause earthquakes and tsunamis. We saw Gaara and Naruto duking it out in the forest with their monsters. You would also expect the MC to advance his techniques and go beyond chunin exam level. This was visually showcased too. It’s not like DBZ where all the fights feel the same after Frieza and new forms instantly became irrelevant. My only issue was the Uchiha wank and my Rock Lee getting thrown away to the side

Combine that with Cell's regeneration and Saiyan ability to get stronger as he fights...Garou has a problem on his hands.
Cell only really shows off his power growth when he was almost completely destroyed though, the kind of damage Vegeta's Final Flash gave him was minimal.
Garou on the contrary has absolutely insane growth. The fight he had with Saitama after he goes Cosmic takes place in a few minutes at most, and they both exponentially increase in power throughout the fight.
Hell, Garou goes from a feat that's closer to speed of light in his original monster form to MFTL within less than a day due to clashing with Saitama. The only reason he stopped was because Saitama kept rising so fast to the point that Garou couldn't leapfrog him with copying fast enough. So even if he starts out with a problem, things will very quickly get out of hand if Cell wants to play.
Cell is also known for toying with his victims instead of rushing to finish the job while he still has the upper hand, yeah, this sounds like a plausible wincon for Garou.
Just how good is Garou's regeneration? Because Cell could also use the Destructo disk to cut Garou down to size if he starts feeling threatened.

And just as a general feat thing, Garou went from a character that could destroy a few buildings to a character relevant on a solar system scale in 1 - 2 days.
He's basically diet Saitama, with Garou's deal being that he actually cares about the technicals while Saitama just kind of does shit and hopes it works out.
Garou has been able to regenerate internal organ wounds since he became a monster, but the ability only gets more busted throughout his fights. When he's cosmic he regenerates an entire arm in one panel almost instantaneously. It's not completely out of left field for him to shrug off something more serious.
And though Saiyans do have that ability, it's never as ridiculous as what happened in OPM. You don't see Goku turning into a Frieza-saga character in the middle of his fight with Piccolo. It's that kind of bonkers, in terms of relative growth.
Oh wait, the regen was for his regular monster form. But it should be even better in the Cosmic form, ontop of being able to frick with energy itself because of his martial arts, which might let him blunt attacks with his regular deflection type stuff.
So the battle comes down to Cell using a full power Kamehameha to take down Garou..... it's a matter of when Cell wants to take down Garou and if he wants to play dirty with him. Goku was constantly hyping up Gohan which is why Cell decided to play with him to force his full power to come out.
If Garou is able to reach the level of Cell, I can see him gaining momentum until Cell is forced to tap out. Only counter to this is if Cell decides to just use kaioken on top of his full power which I don't think he's ever done anywhere but I might be wrong on that front.
It's also worth noting that Cell does have access to Zenkais which offer a immense boost of power too.
Basically Cell would be 1000x faster than Garou right out of the gate.
However, if we wish to be more reasonable, we can scale Cell to the speed that it took from Goku's pod to reach Namek and his consequential spirit bomb instead....no idea how fast that is.
was this actually a buncha destroyed stars, or a consequence of Blast teleporting the resulting effect of their clash away, also fricking with our perception of those stars because light has to travel through space before we see it? it's really sketchy that they only made it to Jupiter after this and that scalping one of Jupiter's moons, and then sneezing so hard its gas composition disperses, were both treated as super duper impressive. the scale just doesn't add up and this was chapters apart, not sagas, arcs and series apart.

It's not elaborated upon yet, which is what makes it arguable. Guess it depends on what you prefer to go with for a matchup.

But as described earlier, Garou freaking out about the sneeze was in him realizing that Saitama was outpacing his copying and that if it kept going he'd eventually be oneshotted by Saitama in a "blink and you miss it" kind of way. The literal sneeze itself was a dwarf star level attack (according to some calcs anyway), but it wasn't even an intentional blow against Garou.
Sounds about accurate. Garou is working up from a lower level of power, so him losing is entirely possible.
I think Garou should win this unless death battle gives Cell kaioken (controversial) or if Cell's mastery over the Z fighters genes allows him to finesse Garou out of a W. Either way, extreme def and a good fight for Cell.
If the team accepts this, they'll probably grant Cell access to Kaioken too.
character introspection is one thing, but narratively that was supposed to show something incredible even by Garou's standards. i'm personally not invested in the Cell vs Garou argument, but if my understanding of it is correct, the Gamma Ray Burst would turn Cell and his Kamehameha into a cloud of atoms. GRB are more powerful than supernovae
Once Garou is able to successfully copy his opponent, does he continue to become stronger than them or does it just stop?
When he previously copied techniques he was able to improve upon those techniques because he had a superior understanding of them.
Saitama was just such a brick that it didn't matter, best exemplified with pages like this earlier in his fight.
Also in his previous monster form he continually got stronger, zenkai-style, by powering through pain and suffering. Copying is just something he learned in the Cosmic state thanks to God, and he used it to grow in power quicker, but it shouldn't be his only option.
If you are equalizing power systems somewhat, Garou might actually be able to copy the Kaioken and master it pretty quickly.

meh, not really convinced on azrael ngl. a lot of his arguments were "oh moon knight shouldn't scale to this feat/character" when he has plenty of instances and they usually only pick 1 to debunk. deadpool krakoa feat apparently was miscalced and might yield teraton values so marc scaling to a fraction of that would still put him even or in the lead. regardless, I think team azrael's argument of "azrael takes stats and hits marc in the head" is a lot less sound than "marc is even or greater in stats and has a way better suit, arguably better weapons and abilities, and likely more experience"
