It's the most popular match up for Team RWBY because any other popular squad they lose to. Every Sentai team mogs them, JRPG parties shit all over them, Magical Girl teams are all well beyond them. You misunderstand. I'm a KH fan too and there's nothing wrong with scaling off a combination of feats and actual lore. The problem is that basically every piece of top-end KH scaling relies on things such as assuming each world is an universe and wonky chi-blade scaling.
There's no need to assume each world is its own universe when we have a series like kingdom hearts where in every games final boss battle they always end up in some created universe outside time and space.
In kingdom hearts one ansem creates his own altered version of destiny Islands universe. He then creates that wierd boat universe in seemingly an empty void.
Xemnas created the world that never was. A world that was never supposed to even exist in the first place. Master xenort too then was able to travel with sora throughout each world battling casually. These worlds are not insignificantly spread apart from each other and the teleportation is nearly instant.
