Clash of the Titans was the first movie I saw that made me realize that trailers often oversold movies. I enjoyed the movie but I was expecting it to be the next Lord of the Rings from how hype the trailer was, and it kind of fell flat with me. Maybe it was partially because I watched it in 3D because it was a terrible post-production conversion, but it just didn't live up to the impossibly high expectations set by the trailer.

You know what movie really made me swear off of trusting trailers ever again though? The Last Airbender. The first teaser trailer looked amazing and that's actually what got me to finally watch the TV show which I fell in love with. I bought the soundtrack CD for the movie before it was out. And then the movie came out and it was a 10 mile high mountain of impassible donkey doodoo.

As a side note, Clash of the Titans makes a good double feature with Gods of Egypt. They're both kinda shlocky CG-fests but they kind of feel like sister films of each other. If you wanna make it a triple throw in the first Marvel Thor movie.

          >Clash of the Titans was the first movie I saw that made me realize that trailers often oversold movies.
Same, I loved that trailer but I couldn't help but feel the movie underwhelming when I finally got to watch it. After years of similar cases, by now I don't even bother watching trailers anymore. The last one I felt some interest for were the trailers for the first Suicide Squad movie.

There's only four years between me and my youngest brother but there's like a chasm between us, with how addicted he is to his phone. He's even amusing himself with that AI shit on snapchat now, trying to "trick" it or whatever he's doing by giving different instructions. When I hang out with my buddy we don't touch our phones for hours unless someone calls or a quick check if we're waiting for some really important email or some shit like that. I just don't get how people are prioritising their phone over the real human bean interaction they're currently having.

Right now, the new Madoka movie, the estab life movie and the kaina of the great snow sea movie. Although the Madoka one is the only one I expect to be able to see in cinema. A few months ago I would have said Aquaman 2 but i:'m starting to doubt it will be good.

As for movies that are already out I was excited for that have actually since come out dragon ball super super hero would have been the last one, before that it would have been the first Aquaman and before might have been fricking enders game, and I didn't actually expect that to be good I just wanted to see the giant and the ending on the big screen, also the Aquaman trench spinoff that got cancelled and then was revealed to have been a codeword for a black manga movie

We have gotten to the point where even if the premise of the movie is great, I still won't give a shit because modern movies are crap. Like the Northman has a good premise but I know exactly what I will get if I watch it
    >Blue filter
    >Stiff super serious characters
    >Long drawn out plot with a few battles sprinkled in

I watched a little bit of the scene where they raid the village and it was shit, what the frick was the cinematographer doing? Reminded me of a bad GOTs battle.
