Drinker talks about shows like The Witcher and Fallout from a casual perspective. He doesn't have a deep understanding of the source-material and all his thoughts are very surface-level. Even Angry Joe had a more nuanced and thoughtful discussion on the show, especially about the tonal whiplash and lore implications. I was actually surprised.

Even if you have you can just ignore them for the same reason you can ignore these issues when watching the Jackson Lord of the Rings trilogy or the Raimi Spider-Man trilogy.
You kinda can't, because Todd Howard deemed this show canon. So it would be like ignoring The Last Jedi in the SW canon. Now every Fallout game moving forward has to dance around this lore minefield.
The only major plot hole I came away with was the fact it's never explained why the cold fusion scientist woman was somehow still alive and appears unchanged 200 years after the great war.
Other than that I thought the biggest weakness was being too close to the games- If you knew the lore of the games you saw half the plot points coming up from the first episode. People who don't know the games and lore will think more highly of the show because they won't realise most of the strongest plot elements are just copied over from the games.
The fact alone that there are million unopened vaults in California makes the plot of Fallout 1 dumb. Also, somehow, all the people in California reverted back 200 years, just because Shady Sands was nuked via asspull. And Enclave is still around, even though NCR wiped them out 50 years ago. And the mcguffin plot is stupid once you realize what the GECK does and NCR has at least 3 GECK-powered cities in their territory.
The fact that such powerhouse as NCR disappeared overnight, I'm just going to ignore. But where are the other factions?
I liked that about the show. You could tell the scene with the overseer was a dialogue choice scene and he got mad when she asked the wrong question. The structure of the plot follows the quest structure of the games.
1 is my second favorite game of all time and I think the show's pretty good. The series has arguably been inconsistent at least in terms of tone since the very second game, there hasn't been any point in getting hung up on this kind of thing since before most of the series' fans were born at this stage. I don't think it's amazing or anything, but a disproportionate amount of the criticism it's gotten online is just New Vegas fans getting up in arms about its perceived slights against two games most of them haven't even played (and would probably hate if they did).
