I think it's a red herring. You are right in that FNAF 1 - 3 they were just targeting adults because they were on high alert from predators like Afton, the person you palyed looked like Afton (it was his son), and/or were badly programmed/haywire. In Sister Location they were specifically made malicious to target and kidnap kids for Afton. I'm guessing it'll be a mix of both the animatronics being used as tools by Afton to kidnap the kids and kill the adults when in reality they are probably just docile and friendly.
But zoomers also love pointless lore and worldbuilding and all of that can traced back to these games. This movie is going to be 3 hour bukkake of lore references for the zoomers who grew up watching Markiplier scream at FNAF for hours on end.
But I'm guessing it's not going to be the actual lore, more like an interpretation of it, right?
It looks like the Fnaf 1 location but Springtrap is there, isn't he supposed the be boarded up?
no he's clearly got the weirdo Springtrap eyes and he's rotted

Afton will either get Springtrapped 3/4 into the movie and be the final boss or he won't be Springtrapped until the very end and this'll be some post-credits teaser for the next movie

My guess is movie refrences the events from the 80s and current day, with luving willy being shown in fleshbacks to 80s as the protag solvs the murder mystery

If this happens and they adapt the iconic scene, this movie is at least 8/10 and the best video game adaptation of all time.

if they don't frick it up. admittedly, i don't really see how they could, it's just a guy spazzing out in a furry suit while fake blood drips out and there's already good audio, but i've learned to assume the worst.
There are a lot of things that doesn't add up. One of the cool things of FNAF is that the protagonist of all games is the same guy, who is also the son of the villain, but I don't think MC of the movie is that guy, because he meets William and they don't seem to be acquainted. Also the Afton died waaaay before FNAF 1 and he is obviously alive here.
As corny as it is, you have to admit they fricking nailed the animatronics and the set. I mean this almost looks like it could be a render from the game itself
The red eyes is fricking dumb. The smart choice wouldve been white pinpricks which would've also been canon. My guess is that they didn't want to make it too scary bc that would've actually been scary and not cartoonish
this
I loved the glowing silver eyes from the original, it gave them a weird aura, a mix between some sort of "mechanical glitch" and genuine haunting
red eyes are just like "dude... i'm evil"
At least Springtrap has the silver eyes in the movie
>you have to admit they fricking nailed the animatronics and the set
The designs are spot on but they have failed to capture the creepy and unnerving look in their eyes.
Same.
I just wish their eyes didnt glow red it makes it feel like a cartoon
That's so stupid that I almost don't want to watch it.
The gay witty dialogue >so you mean to tell me that these giant robots are actually haunted by dead ghost kids? xDDDD
music cuts >well technically they're animatronics
Seriously, how can you be writing a script and not be self-aware of dialogue this bad?
oh yeah I really wanna go sit in a theater full of mentally ill youtuber types. lol.
Remember when the USA went to the moon? Now, the only goal is "what software can i make to exploit some vulnerable group of people".
War is coming
It's launching on streaming same-day. No way it would ever hit a billion when a perfect rip will be available day-1. Universal doing that also suggests they believe the movie isn't very good.
They do it somewhere else where it's confirmed the Purple Guy drugged kids with fear gas and made them hallucinate FNAF 4, which was supposed to just be a coma kid's nightmare originally.
>scott complained that no one got fnaf 4 correct >when this is the reason why
how the frick could anyone have predicted fear gas when there's nothing in the game alluding to it
This movie will be lucky to crack over 100 million, which is fine for a lower budget horror movie but it's really not gonna be as much of a phenomenon as people think it will.
Not to mention it's directed by some literalwho woman director lmao.
As much as this franchise gets shit on by horror fans I will always defend Sister Location as kino to this day. Scott was really in his element with that one and I love how he incorporated his old desolate hope sci fi aesthetic into the fnaf world it fit like a glove
FNAF got popular because of the child killer lore stuff not the animatronics, but now that it's 100% a kids franchise the one interesting part is off limits. Shame too cause an M style thriller about the events of the atari cutscenes from William Aftons perspective could have been kino
The main issue I see is if it's PG-13.
IT had a ton of hype around it and it hit 700mill. I'm not seeing the same levels of hype, and this needs to be carried largely by teens.
this movie will be based. im glad studios are finally adapting things besides marvel and star wars, the popularity of mario and barbie should show people are DESPERATE for anything else.
There are two ways to rate this movie:
1) The usual way. Using this method we can summarize that it was directed by a woman, therefore 0/10.
2) The Practical Effect Chad way. Just because all modern movies have godawful troony israelite Black person goyslop shitty fricked degenerate homosexual queer terrible schlock CGI, I decided to rate all movies that prefer practical effects 10/10, therefore it's a 10/10
it's not gonna hit 50m
ill bet any amount of money it hits 500 mil
>A cheap horror movie based on popular horror game that gets millions of views on youtube.
You are severely underestimate how well this will do.
homie look at the slender man movie.
>they want to make her like them
wasn't the whole point that the children were trying to kill only adults because of the purple Black person?
I think it's a red herring. You are right in that FNAF 1 - 3 they were just targeting adults because they were on high alert from predators like Afton, the person you palyed looked like Afton (it was his son), and/or were badly programmed/haywire. We already know Springtrap is in and she hangs out with Golden Freddy. Murderbots are trying to protect her from the zombie killer
not with a 3 hour runtime
Pretty sure that's a placeholder, there's no fricking way this movie is 3 hours long with a PG-13 rating. zoomers are too adhd.
But zoomers also love pointless lore and worldbuilding and all of that can traced back to these games. This movie is going to be 3 hour bukkake of lore references for the zoomers who grew up watching Markiplier scream at FNAF for hours on end.
?si=zJO4K16FkGZhW_bg
why would they make a movie? its just a wagslave sitting in a room closing doors all night.
I think they're diving into the "lore" about the serial killer and shit.
i've never played the games and even i've heard about the bite of '87. definitely it's going to draw in audiences
But I'm guessing it's not going to be the actual lore, more like an interpretation of it, right?
It looks like the Fnaf 1 location but Springtrap is there, isn't he supposed the be boarded up?
>Springtrap is there
no. what? isn't Shaggy in the movie as a normal guy still?
He is but Spring Bonnie is also in the trailer.
is that pre-zombie Springtrap?
Up to you to judge.
no he's clearly got the weirdo Springtrap eyes and he's rotted
Afton will either get Springtrapped 3/4 into the movie and be the final boss or he won't be Springtrapped until the very end and this'll be some post-credits teaser for the next movie

ooh is a semi reboot
cannot fill the lore in some point because is too Sci-fi and weird for the normalhomosexuals
>Why would they make something massively successful into something that can make effortless money?
Yeah, it's a real mystery alright.
>why would they make a movie? its just a man going around.
80%ofmoviesbros...
Some of the best movies ever made have been about people standing around in one room for 3 hours
I hate the red eyes, completely fricks up the creepiness of the original designs.
I'm not a chud
Prove it
Yeah?
I won't see it, there, it will flop now
Good, Love Fnaf
>Horror movie
It should be illegal to call a PG-13 film horror.
As corny as it is, you have to admit they fricking nailed the animatronics and the set. I mean this almost looks like it could be a render from the game itself

this
but the audience for movies are moronic and whould not understand when the animatronics are evil
this
I loved the glowing silver eyes from the original, it gave them a weird aura, a mix between some sort of "mechanical glitch" and genuine haunting
red eyes are just like "dude... i'm evil"
At least Springtrap has the silver eyes in the movie
>almost
It does. I thought it was CGI
>you have to admit they fricking nailed the animatronics and the set
The designs are spot on but they have failed to capture the creepy and unnerving look in their eyes.
That's so stupid that I almost don't want to watch it.
Why does this come off like a parody than an actual film?
The gay witty dialogue
>so you mean to tell me that these giant robots are actually haunted by dead ghost kids? xDDDD
music cuts
>well technically they're animatronics
Seriously, how can you be writing a script and not be self-aware of dialogue this bad?

the fire rises.
It's launching on streaming same-day. No way it would ever hit a billion when a perfect rip will be available day-1. Universal doing that also suggests they believe the movie isn't very good.
>first horror to hit 1 billion
What about Titanic? It made a ton of money.
i hate how the shadowing in this image makes it look like he has a big fricking unibrow
>FNAF will be Cinemaphile and there will be FNAF threads that will hit bump limit on Cinemaphile
You love to see it.
are we gonna have fricking nightmare gas discussions
I keep seeing this. Don't tell me they introduce that in a B7-2 story?
They do it somewhere else where it's confirmed the Purple Guy drugged kids with fear gas and made them hallucinate FNAF 4, which was supposed to just be a coma kid's nightmare originally.
>scott complained that no one got fnaf 4 correct
>when this is the reason why
how the frick could anyone have predicted fear gas when there's nothing in the game alluding to it
The Exorcist made 270 million worldwide in 1973 which is 1.08 billion dollars in todays money
Inflation cope.
kino cometh
>you now remember that 2021 FNAF clone starring Nic Cage
It wasn’t bad, more of a comedy
Was it true Cage didn't say a single word in the movie despite being in almost every scene?
This movie will be lucky to crack over 100 million, which is fine for a lower budget horror movie but it's really not gonna be as much of a phenomenon as people think it will.
Not to mention it's directed by some literalwho woman director lmao.
Not to mention it is on streaming the same day.
I expect the movie to make profit at least. The FNAF franchise is very popular with kids, adults, streamers, and especially furries.
It will also be the highest grossing Christian movie ever.
blessed
These are the "people" who call you a "chud" on the Internet
As much as this franchise gets shit on by horror fans I will always defend Sister Location as kino to this day. Scott was really in his element with that one and I love how he incorporated his old desolate hope sci fi aesthetic into the fnaf world it fit like a glove
troony, ALL original FNAF games are good, maybe except World, but Chad Godthon gave everyone a refund and remade the game.
FNAF got popular because of the child killer lore stuff not the animatronics, but now that it's 100% a kids franchise the one interesting part is off limits. Shame too cause an M style thriller about the events of the atari cutscenes from William Aftons perspective could have been kino
It was popular before gay theory’s videos
Thats from the games, not theory videos. The 5 kids are mentioned as early as the first game in hidden screens
Kinda looks like shit
chud

IT had a ton of hype around it and it hit 700mill. I'm not seeing the same levels of hype, and this needs to be carried largely by teens.
>PG 13
Should have just let Tim Burton directed it.
Tim Burton's last good movie was Big Fish 20 years ago, he would probably still be better than a woman though.
I am not saying he makes good movies but he does manage to make kiddy movies creepy and unsettling without even trying.
One fazbillion dollars
despite them actually constructing physical costumes, they look like they were rendrered in Source Filmmaker
probably because they polished it way too clean.
this movie will be based. im glad studios are finally adapting things besides marvel and star wars, the popularity of mario and barbie should show people are DESPERATE for anything else.

>muh screencap
Absolutely nobody will want to see this except for who likes the games. I didn't even know this was a thing. It'll be worse than Willy's Wonderland
I'm going to see it and whatever. But honestly it doesn't look scary at all.
>chuds
isn't the game basically a night trap clone
wasn't already a shitty nic cage movie about it
if it hits 1b it means it will be some meme movie with manifactured outrage and more care put into mrketing than in the movie.
Zoomers really think FNAF is anywhere close to Mario in terms of popularity
>first shot of the trailer is a tracking shot of a car from a drone
RED LETTER MEDIA TOLD ME THAT WAS A THING BAD MOVIES DID
It's not a bad thing it's just not as impressive now that everyone can do it with a drone. Tracking shots are great though and frick RLM hacks
Why would chuds be mad at this?
The creator of FNAF is an outspoken conservative
He is literally Hitler according to Twitter and he is the only person who was cancelled and didn't apologize for what he was being cancelled.
