      I don't think so.

Is that Defenders of the Earth as in pic related? Pretty cool if so, I liked that show as a kid. Introduced me to The Phantom.

      Yes it is.

I liked how this show, James Bond Jr and the 90s Iron Man cartoon made the yellow peril characters green

Why didn't the MCU just do that

I have relatives in formosa, hainan, and osaka to troll. Don't wimp out because some of the usual suspects get turbotriggered.

They made him look vaugely asian, but gave him a shave. Looks more like Yoda's child molesting stepdad.

Funny thing is that they'll see this as even more racist as the original Ming.

They actually prefer the iron man TAS ming to the clean shaven one.

China has had despots and warlords before. Green Evil Space Wizard Cao Cao is one thing, but in an effort to avoid being racist, they make him look even more inhuman.

      >“I couldn’t be more excited to see Flash Gordon come back to the printed page,” said writer Jeremy Adams. “Will Conrad has taken the character to a whole new level with his incredible art, and the team at Mad Cave have been a joy to work with as we take this larger-than-life character on a quest that spans the entire universe. Hold onto your seats and get ready for the adventure of a lifetime!”

      >“I am beyond excited with the chance to work alongside Jeremy and everyone at Mad Cave on bringing Flash Gordon back to comics,” said artist Will Conrad. “It’s like going back in time and bringing all of these beloved characters back to the present, with some new and modern tweaks, but without losing the essence of each one. Can’t avoid listening to Queens classic rock riff ‘FLASH! AAAAAHHHHH’ every time I sit to draw a panel. I believe everyone will feel the same!”

I was so bummed when they took Adams off The Flash, so I'll follow him to Flash Gordon.

Is the flash gordon book and defenders of earth in the same continuity?

I'm not actually sure. I know they're reprinting an older miniseries that's based on the 80's cartoon. The new miniseries they're publishing, I'm not sure if it's in the same continuity as the Flash book they'll be putting out, or if it'll be its own thing based on the cartoon.

It will be weird for them to start the Flash Gordon series in July, then immediately jump into Defenders in August. At least when Dynamite decided to their own take on DotE they had the reboot Flash already established.
