Why are botfarm drones so obsessed with blockbuster? It was an expensive and inconvenient way to watch kinows.

It's zoomers and nostalgic millennials that overlook the fact that Blockbuster was considered a shit rental chain back then.
      >rarely ever had the movies or games that you wanted
      >people forgetting to rewind tapes / scratched DVDs
      >overpriced candies and snacks
Even the people that worked there hated it, especially when the 2000s rolled around and they were still stuck with old IBM computers with floppy discs.
      Local video stores were better.

Yeah if you were a freak that just had to have muh indie/slasher/porno movies. Aside from those they sucked in every way compared to the major chains

Zoomers were literally toddlers during Blockbuster's peak. They aren't nostalgic for shit in the early 2000s.

Petition the city or county to change the address numbers of the street you live on or the name itself

Wait a year for all the online maps and databases to be updated

          Sell it

Use a black marker or a sharpie to cross out your name and address. Or shit, just use white-out.

Just burn it no one will ever find it then

Do you not know what a phonebook is? You can find anybody's name and address, theres even websites where you can find people through their mobile phone number. It doesn't matter, no one's gonna buy a several thousand dollar card that doesn't work anymore and travel across the country to hurt you, specifically. If they wanted to, they would have already.

Only because landlines died out. My point is anyone who wants to really get you has many, easier options. Someone seeing the name and address of a total stranger means nothing.

Do people really not remember how shit Blockbuster was?
    >Crazy expensive. Like 3 films were as much as a Netflix sub
    >Nothing new ever in stock
    >Late fees that could stack indefinitely
    >Tapes/Dvds constantly damaged

There were always new things in stock, since movies would go to rental before they would go to home video release.

Were you even alive at the time?

NTA but one of the reasons why Blockbuster went out of business was because of how much they overstocked on shit that people didn't want to watch.

          Anonymous

No, they went out of business because they couldn't adapt to the new streaming technology that made watching movies more convenient and less expensive.

            Anonymous

That's the main one, but there were many other reasons that led to the downfall of Blockbuster. They were known to be understocked on high demand products while also being expensive.

In stock, not stocked. Every new release was all rented out.

I remember that they would have 30+ copies of a new release movie and they would all be rented out

Blockbuster was always the first to get major movie releases - the issue was they stocked like fricking 12 of them.
