It's zoomers and nostalgic millennials that overlook the fact that Blockbuster was considered a shit rental chain back then. >rarely ever had the movies or games that you wanted >people forgetting to rewind tapes / scratched DVDs >overpriced candies and snacks
Even the people that worked there hated it, especially when the 2000s rolled around and they were still stuck with old IBM computers with floppy discs.
Local video stores were better.
>Local video stores were better.
Yeah if you were a freak that just had to have muh indie/slasher/porno movies. Aside from those they sucked in every way compared to the major chains
Dang I still got my old membership cards to Hollywood video and blockbuster and all my mom and pop local shop cards too I always saved them for nostalgia sake and cuz I’m a hoarder and never throw anything away yoy telling me I can sell these for thousands on eBay? They have my name and address on them tho is this one on eBay just a blank one with no name?
Do you not know what a phonebook is? You can find anybody's name and address, theres even websites where you can find people through their mobile phone number. It doesn't matter, no one's gonna buy a several thousand dollar card that doesn't work anymore and travel across the country to hurt you, specifically. If they wanted to, they would have already.

Only because landlines died out. My point is anyone who wants to really get you has many, easier options. Someone seeing the name and address of a total stranger means nothing.
Do people really not remember how shit Blockbuster was? >Crazy expensive. Like 3 films were as much as a Netflix sub >Nothing new ever in stock >Late fees that could stack indefinitely >Tapes/Dvds constantly damaged
No, they went out of business because they couldn't adapt to the new streaming technology that made watching movies more convenient and less expensive.
That's the main one, but there were many other reasons that led to the downfall of Blockbuster. They were known to be understocked on high demand products while also being expensive.
Why are botfarm drones so obsessed with blockbuster? It was an expensive and inconvenient way to watch kinows.
hollywood was superior.
20/20 Video had porn and anime
its an artifact of a much better time to be alive

Have sex
Zoomers were literally toddlers during Blockbuster's peak. They aren't nostalgic for shit in the early 2000s.
Blockbuster started closing down its stores in 2010
I've still got two of mine. Thanks for the 14 boxes of ziti

Are you still living at the same address as when you had a BB card?
are you asking me if I still live with my parents? Okay fine you got me, why should I leave this house will be mine one day!
Petition the city or county to change the address numbers of the street you live on or the name itself
Wait a year for all the online maps and databases to be updated
Sell it
There will be a public record of it. They'll still find me.
As long as they never find the bodies you should be OK.
Just burn it no one will ever find it then
Use a black marker or a sharpie to cross out your name and address. Or shit, just use white-out.

actually yes
Looking them up now most of them only go for like 8 or 9 bucks not sure why this one guy is asking that crazy price
I mean people you sell to on eBay already know your name and address anyway, what would it matter?
They can sell it to the russians
I'll never sell mine because they aren't making any new ones. I'm still mad I sold my N64.

There were always new things in stock, since movies would go to rental before they would go to home video release.
Were you even alive at the time?
NTA but one of the reasons why Blockbuster went out of business was because of how much they overstocked on shit that people didn't want to watch.

In stock, not stocked. Every new release was all rented out.
I remember that they would have 30+ copies of a new release movie and they would all be rented out
Blockbuster was always the first to get major movie releases - the issue was they stocked like fricking 12 of them.
Yes. Thats what I was talking about. You'd be hyped to get the latest kino, roll up to blockbuster on release day...and they're out.
I wish I kept mine :/ Not sure why I didn't. I also had a wallet with all the Pokémon Snap prepaid cards that disappeared too.
a zoomer will put this on paypal credit and then let it go to collections
mfw i swapped out sotn rental for a playstation demo disc and blockbuster didn't notice
I still have mine, can I really sell it for thousands of dollars?
>advertise video game systems for rent
>security deposit and rental fee are about $20 less than just buying it
no one's paying seven grand for that
Selling snacks and soda at theater pricing was the real israelite move there.
There’s better deals out there.
Blockbuster fricking sucked, it was just all we had.
