>a world without Annie ruinning everything
give me a ticket right now
Could you really live in a world without annie taking the knot
dogs are aetherical by design, this world only has cats.
What about birds?
Even better. cats suck ass. Dogs are great.
I do *not* want to live in a world without dogs and annie birthing litter after litter of pups.
So these dick heads flat out did illegal human testing on CHILDREN? I mean, I'm not really surprised, this is the court we're talking about, however I'd be fricking AMAZED if anyone with half a brain cell wanted to go on a one way cruise to a deserted planet with a group of people that thought child testing was even remotely a good idea.
Only the filthy magic users got hurt, so it's fine.
This is the same court that tracks people through their food and builds ridiculous 10-storey high bunk beds for children. Laws or safety aren't that important to them.
well, the entire world buys stuff from people like those and even goes there on vacation so I don't see the issue
You can't become God without breaking a few eggs.
Wow, Gunnerkrigg Court really IS becoming more rrealistic!
Silly anon, children aren't human.
Any guesses as to who the speaker is? Someone we haven't met before?
The multiple arms from two pages ago could be alluding to another Kat.
LMAO 2 KATS
She'll split herself so one gets to live without Annie and the other one can stay with her
Dr. Disaster doing a prank.
The stuff over the face here is bismuth-shaped so I'd assumed at the time it was some representative of the seed bismuth, but that doesn't make sense with what they're saying here. Unless it's all a con.
Wait, if etherstuff is created by thonking, then how come they will just not create ether over there? Will they just… lobotomise people, or what?
Might be why they're filtering out all the ether-sensitives first. Though I think it's death and the release of souls that generates ether.
On that note, I wonder where the psychopomps facter in on this. Even if other worlds/realities are out of their jurisdiction, they're petty fricks who get angy when they don't get a soul on their side. Might be a segway to Annie getting her first orders from them.
Souls are a very etheric concept. Do you think the new and perfect court of science will let you keep such a thing?
>I am here to feel the might of their bombs
Jones didn't need to say it like that, but she did.
What an absolute unrepentant pervert.
And in front of a young boy, too, as usual.
Imagine how disappointed she must be to have missed out on the atom bombs. They'll likely never be used again.
Jones definitely spent some time in Nevada in the 1950s getting nuked. For science.
Imagine how pleasurable the shockwaves going through your body must be if you're invulnerable.
The real reason Superman stole all of the world's nukes. He didn't throw them in the sun. He used them for his own sick pleasure.
I wonder: Do you die if you try to go, and it turns out you had some kind of connection to the ether? Can you get hurt just for trying?
woah so like the people who hate magic were actually magic the whole time
A simple boat cruise made Zimmy sick "by design" and they don't want any ether types coming with them on a one-way trip. It's probably fatal.
It would be something they'd have to work out because if they blocked out the Guides, all their dead are stuck as ghosts.
Apparently the cruise has been a thing for years. They're talking to the adults present who've been students previously.
Aw, I was hoping that Annie taking the knot was legally sound 🙁
>It would be something they'd have to work out because if they blocked out the Guides, all their dead are stuck as ghosts.
Again, assuming they'd have souls. This is like a reverse Heaven's Gate. Instead of dying to send their souls to space, it smells like they're sending their bodies, and leaving that etheric contaminant behind.
Honestly I say let them go off to their own world or whatever at this point. There’s literally no downsides.
I don't think Tom has addressed whether soulless humans are a thing or not. I assume the normies have souls but lack the ability to project them into the ether, so they're isolated until the death of their bodies.
So it's a toss up between them all falling into comas at the threshold or wondering why their dead are reportedly showing up on cameras and dark hallways.
>When you were children
Wait, is this implying that they're all adults now?
So the main cast of Gunnerkrigg is legal?
>This world is completely without ether and we want to be there
>"Ok, how do we get there?"
>Using ether
>"Won't that bring ether to the new world?"
>Shut up
The court was created by morons
No, just the comic.
What chapter was the cruise ship on?
49
Thanks.
All the worst characters of this comic are ether sensitive, so I'd like it if we switched perspective to the colony every once in a while.
Either that or the Annie Crew somehow track them down later. It would be the best route if Tom wants to reveal that something went wrong.
>2022: Deep space research vessel 'Event Horizon' launched to explore boundaries of Solar System. She disappears without trace beyond the eighth planet, Neptune. It is the worst space disaster on record.
What the frick is even going on in this comic?
They are sending the Zariman ten-zero into the void to jump to the Tau system.
Where does that put Jones?
Jones stays. She is probably nothing BUT ether.
The Court have probably dropped the deal to help her research herself anyway. She could wander off to her next identity or stick around to help Elgamore and the others remaining.
She won't leave.
She still has the current generation of children to groom.
Best character.
She can't be, Rey is the best character and has the numbers to prove it.
And he's also a child groomer. Coincidence?
Who ISN'T a groomer in this comic, besides some side characters?
Name one (1) character that Annie has groomed.
>children can't groom
Guess what, that's why I excluded them implicitly.
children can't groom and can't be pedo, pedo
I'm starting to think Jones was possibly a future creation of this new court on a new planet sent back in time to record earth from its inception to make it "predictable" so the court could return to earth one day.
They are likely starting on a new planet without life so that the "ether" is predictable. If they could observe earth from the start as Jones has, then they would potentially be able to predict earth ether too.
Jones has no connection to the ether, but its possible that she's some kind of antennae or something for the court in the future. Would also explain why she is impenetrable even by x-ray, she is possibly existing as some sort of dimensional fold with a shield to prevent the present from being able to see into the future.
It is possible Jones is a resident of the future court who volunteered for this job even if she has no memory of it.
That's pretty cool
This is like the first wandering eye theory that make sense.
Iunno, feels a bit contrived.
