Thank you. To me Boyd carried the show. What a kino character. I'll watch anyway.
Walton Goggins played the best character in both of FX's best shows, truly a remarkable feat considering he wasn't the top bill in either
> Walton Goggins was so well liked by the audience that it was decided to resurrect him after the pilot
So, it's not that complicated. What were they even thinking removing Walton Goggins from the new Justified?
By the way, I don't understand why they're trying so hard to make the new villain a "villain". Look, he stole a car and dumped the body of a deer. What an butthole!
>What were they even thinking removing Walton Goggins from the new Justified?
That his character is in prison for life and will probably never breathe fresh air again and this is like 20 years after original Justified. Did you not read the book?
It's called writing. Just have him break out of jail and Raylon catch him or something.
His character arc was completed in the finale and he’s at peace, it would make no sense for him to bust out of jail and start doing villain shit
I don't think this new show will be any good so im not gonna watch it since I like the original that much. Anon is right, Boyd coming back wouldn't make sense and cheapen the show. I'm sure they'll throw money at him anyway to have it happen when ratings are low.

Yeah, he's an butthole rock n rolla criminal. My point was stealing a car at a gas station is the least extreme thing he's done, so I don't know why you'd highlight that.
Because this scene is idiotic. It does nothing but show "look what an butthole". And it's an idiotic decision when you're out of prison stealing cars at a gas station. And shooting a man in a car on a road in the city? Dude, no lawyer can defend you.

Have you watched the original series? The show has always portrayed white people as morons. Blacks are portrayed as competent, remember Nobles Holler? That's why in fricking Detroit the villain is a white dude.

How is that being an butthole anymore than literally any criminal, anon? It's probably the least butthole crime any criminal has committed in this series. >And shooting a man in a car on a road in the city? Dude, no lawyer can defend you.
The first episode of Justified has dudes shooting a rocket launcher into a church in front of several witnesses. What kind of show do you think you're watching?

I don't know much about Detroit. But aren't there patrolmen or something? Even gunshots would put everyone on alert, wouldn't they? I live in Ukraine and I can't imagine such a thing in my city. There's a police car driving down the street every 15 minutes.
>sir the ratings are dropping >get me the writers >yes, I want boyd pardoned and he goes to detroit >sir, how should we introduce him >I want him to walk into the bar and call the barowner the N word before ordering a drink >but sir we could... >do it
“Removing Walton goggins” is a funny way of saying “the character is in jail for the rest of his life and even if he wasn’t it would make no sense for him to be in Detroit”
from what i've read from the creators, it's based on a different book and doesn't have much to do with the original series, apart from Raylan obviously. i'd be surprised if any characters show up from justified except for his ex-wife. hopefully she's aged into an incredibly hot milf.
>from what i've read from the creators, it's based on a different book and doesn't have much to do with the original series, apart from Raylan obviously
Dude, that's how Justified was made.
I was thinking the same and was wondering why they cast that actress... then I found out it's actually his actual daughter who just can't act and has autism
I demand cameos from everybody who survived the original Justified. EVERYONE but seriously characters like wynn duffy and dewey crowe made that show what it was
Bros should I continue justified? It feels like a detective crime snoozefest. Does it get any good?
Season 1 feels more episodic as I believe they were finding their feet. As other anon said, season 2 is fantastic and the best of the show, imo. The other seasons are really good tho, especially season 5.
I live in KY and I always wanted to check Harlan Co. out but just googled it and it's about 230 miles away from me lol. Damn, I forget this state is kinda big sometimes.
I'd be fine with her if she didn't act like a complete idiot. Aside from the courtroom scene. it's like Raylan didn't do anything about her education? She's a total moron. Your father's a fricking U.S. marshal. I expected his daughter to know how to handle guns and criminal scums. Instead > NO, MY DAD'S BEATING UP A FELON PEDOPHILE. I'M GONNA LOSE MY MIND.
And I have a bad feeling about it. Like they're gonna tell us how bad it is to use violence against criminal thugs.
> NO, MY DAD'S BEATING UP A FELON PEDOPHILE. I'M GONNA LOSE MY MIND.
She's crying because she only just realized how fricked a situation she was in, anon.
i haven't watched it yet, thanks for the spoiler dickhead
its immaterial to the plot
i don't believe you but thanks for trying
What the frick? How did I not hear about this?
They even got REYLEND GIVANS, AS I LIVE AND BREATHE.
1 Question. Is Boyd back?
he's not in any of the promotional material but I don't doubt that he might show up for at least a cameo
Thank you. To me Boyd carried the show. What a kino character. I'll watch anyway.
Walton Goggins played the best character in both of FX's best shows, truly a remarkable feat considering he wasn't the top bill in either
I've never seen him give a bad performance. Even as a homosexual troony in Sons of Anarchy he was good.
not in the first 2 episodes
the main baddies actors real first name is boyd, so in a way, yeah he is.
> Walton Goggins was so well liked by the audience that it was decided to resurrect him after the pilot

Holy crap. This show is so bad.
well Boyd is in prison for life
It's called writing. Just have him break out of jail and Raylon catch him or something.
His character arc was completed in the finale and he’s at peace, it would make no sense for him to bust out of jail and start doing villain shit
>His character arc was completed in the finale
Just like Reygand Bivans. But here we go again.
I don't think this new show will be any good so im not gonna watch it since I like the original that much. Anon is right, Boyd coming back wouldn't make sense and cheapen the show. I'm sure they'll throw money at him anyway to have it happen when ratings are low.
well it's based off some other Elmore Leonard story
>What were they even thinking removing Walton Goggins from the new Justified?
That his character is in prison for life and will probably never breathe fresh air again and this is like 20 years after original Justified. Did you not read the book?
>Did you not read the book?
In the book he was killed in the pilot.
>Look, he stole a car and dumped the body of a deer. What an butthole!
?
That's just regular criminal shit, anon.
> hit the judge's car in the driveway
> then shot the judge
I understand it's Detroit, but man, it's like it was a mission in GTA 5.
Yeah, he's an butthole rock n rolla criminal. My point was stealing a car at a gas station is the least extreme thing he's done, so I don't know why you'd highlight that.

boyd showing up for no reason in Detroit would be incredible
from what i've read from the creators, it's based on a different book and doesn't have much to do with the original series, apart from Raylan obviously. i'd be surprised if any characters show up from justified except for his ex-wife. hopefully she's aged into an incredibly hot milf.
>from what i've read from the creators, it's based on a different book and doesn't have much to do with the original series, apart from Raylan obviously
Dude, that's how Justified was made.
yes i know, this series is based on a different book with raylan shoehorned into it.
>apart from Raylan obviously
The protagonist of the book is Detective Raymond Cruz
>Look, he stole a car and dumped the body of a deer. What an butthole!
Well that and the murdering
Raylan's daughter is the most annoying character in the series so far. Why is she even in it?
because timothy oily elephant wanted to make his daughter an actress
that's his actual daughter? explains why she can't act for shit, i couldn't even tell what she was saying most of the time
That explains a lot
Having a daughter is actually annoying.
I was thinking the same and was wondering why they cast that actress... then I found out it's actually his actual daughter who just can't act and has autism
is she actually autistic?
is this show like dick tracy?
no
I demand cameos from everybody who survived the original Justified. EVERYONE
but seriously characters like wynn duffy and dewey crowe made that show what it was
>wynn duffy
Absolutely based. No wynn, can't win.
Mansell and Raylan are too handsome. No homo
I love how you can already tell Mansell is going to go down because hes a fricking luddite
I don't think it should exist and I'm worried they'll ruin it.
Bros should I continue justified? It feels like a detective crime snoozefest. Does it get any good?
when did you give up on it
season 1 is a bit of a drag but season 2 is exceptional
Season 1 feels more episodic as I believe they were finding their feet. As other anon said, season 2 is fantastic and the best of the show, imo. The other seasons are really good tho, especially season 5.
season 5 is the worst one
With the crows? I thought it was kino. You can't go wrong with giving Dewey Crow more screen time.
you can with having Michael Rappaport involved in anyway
>5 seasons at least
Why cant they just fricking write a beginning middle and end before starting this shit?
If you don’t like it from the first 20 minutes of the first episode it’s not for you.
How do we make it more inclusive; I know let's do the show in Detroit.
I live in KY and I always wanted to check Harlan Co. out but just googled it and it's about 230 miles away from me lol. Damn, I forget this state is kinda big sometimes.
I didn't finish justified but saw the final shootout. Think I'll give this a shot
the bad guy is kinda homosexual. like hes one of those oooh im such a bad guy types
it's way funnier than I expected but I love it
>IN THE DEEEEEP DAARRK SKIIIN OF DETROITY homieS
Has anyone read the book?
My dream is Quarles comes back in some form
for me, it's limehouse
raylan will break boyd out of jail himself
by the way what's with the ugly black lawyer lady being raylan's love interest? c'mon, he's a stud. he can do better.
his daughter is a fricking terrible actress. really bad nepotism lol
I'd be fine with her if she didn't act like a complete idiot. Aside from the courtroom scene. it's like Raylan didn't do anything about her education? She's a total moron. Your father's a fricking U.S. marshal. I expected his daughter to know how to handle guns and criminal scums. Instead

>Loafers and a fancy german car
