I mean, that's still not a bad strategy. Things can change over the course of a few years, they introduce new characters/plots/elements that effect the original idea, and so on. But its whole depended on the writer, and I'm not too confident in HOI's writers admittedly.
It's like how GRRM gave D&D and outline for Game of Thrones, and they were on point for most of the parts already covered by the books, but when they tried to finish connecting the plot points themselves, the show ended up with one of the biggest collapses in television history.

Tbf I don't think you're meant to reveal a lot of lore and plot twists in pitch bibles
Amphibia revealed a lot in their own pitch bible as well. The stuff that didn't get revealed is the stuff that was obviously changed as the show was in development (ie Marcy mainly)
A better idea would be to make people very curious and come up with their own theories of what it would amount to. Which could of course be explained in the show if picked up.

i think the creators* came from a live-action sitcom background. they probably can’t draw, and i guess, didn’t know or didn’t want to pay anyone who could.
i hesitate calling them creators because this bible, to me, kinda confirms that was just a bunch of executive ideas mushed into an idea they thought would generate an audience. they failed.
Even MS Paint pitch bibles can get picked up to series. If they had a fun vision they were actually passionate about, they had no excuse not to try a scribble.

I really like the style in the pilot. It's so similar to the actual show's style but doesn't trigger the uncanny valley feeling I get from the actual show. The pilot made me watch to watch the show. The first episode on YouTube reminded me why I don't watch the show.
