The people who wrote this line likely believe that fighting WW2 was le necessary because HITLER was le evil.

its basically a paraphrased von Clausewitz quote about the character of war changing but nature staying the same, or something like that my dear plebeian

With your calling me a 'plebian', you were clearly seeking a reaction and, thus, seeking controversy. If you knew your Clausewitz you would, of course, know why that shows you to be no conquerer 🙂

I thought it was cringe. “War never changes” is the most senselessly abused line in Fallout. They used it twice in Fallout 3 and 3 times in Fallout 4

Just say something new already, holy shit. Everything in Fallout is the same exact shit, riding off the coattails of Fallout 1 and 2. Supermutants, ghouls, BoS, Vaults, it’s all the same shit over and over

Because they didn't make it so they have no ideas that can evolve and change the property. It's what always happens. Tim Cain, a gay chubby guy made Fallout and left after the first game and then bethesda took over while they still had talented people and made fallout 2 and 3 and then after that it was over. Both for Fallout and for them as a creative company in general. They have been releasing absolute creatively bankrupt trash since skyrim

So what if he left? It didn't stop Interplay from making Fallout 2 even better than the first game. And The Outer Worlds which he worked on at Obsidian was dogshit.

                >Development on Fallout began in early 1994.[45][46] Initially, Interplay gave the game little attention,[47] and for the first six months, the programmer Tim Cain was the sole developer. Cain eventually enlisted the aid of Interplay employees during their spare time
No shit moron. I'm not saying he alone made it but he initially created it and would have been a large voice in the conversation of how to steer the game. Interplay making 2 being full of the same people who made the 1st one alongside him doesn't invalidate the point I was making about original creators

                Anonymous

Fallout was evolving and changing properly without Tim Cain with Fallout 2 and New Vegas. Just because he came up with the original idea doesn't mean nobody else can work on it and do the same or even better job than he would've.
