>Held the literal Holy Grail

>Finds out it gives you immortal life
>Healed his fathers wound with the blessed water

Something missing here?
he doesn't believe in magic, it's canon now
We are in the next level. Movies don't have to make sense anymore.
ANYTHING is possible now.
>Movies don't have to make sense anymore
implying they ever had to
They kinda took suspense of disbelief seriously in the past.
By this logic he could also be praying to Shiva not mentioning the ark of the covenant demons that came out and the all knowing aliens.
The Ark is the same God duh
>the all knowing aliens.
They are just God's side project.
The things in the Ark were angels.
Wrong.
Do you know nothing about the Ark of the Covenant?
I always wondered why there were ghosts in the Ark. They're definitely not angels.
Why weren't they angels? Because they don't look like the pretty blonde women on your grandma's Christmas ornaments? Angels are terrifying, the power of God is terrifying. Indy knew that and that's why he knew to look away.
>The Bible describes angels as four-winged creatures, ranging from human-lion-ox-eagle hybrids to floating wheels with eyes.
Like I said, those were not angels. Bayonetta did them right ironically.
>The Bible describes angels as four-winged creatures, ranging from human-lion-ox-eagle hybrids to floating wheels with eyes.
Those are cherubim and ophanim, specifically. There are other kinds of angels that look human, like those that ate with Abraham, the ones that visited Lot, and the fourth man in the fire.
~~*Spielberg*~~ probably liked the idea of ghost israelites killing Nazis.
>~~*Spielberg*~~
Yeah he's totally trying to hide it. moron.
How the hell is it cope? Indy has seen supernatural things that aren't Christianity. And he saw them first. You are the one coping.
Some demon named Shiva gave some heathen heart ripping powers, yet failed to protect him from Gods humblest creature (the crocodile).
Kali gave the power to take hearts, Shiva is the sacred stones and the guiding force that brought Indiana Jones to that particular part of India.
watch the last crusade again. the knight tells him he only gets eternal life if he doesn’t leave. it’s the entire reason the knight was there for so long.
But it proves the existence of God, that’s the point OP is making
I know but its still eternal life and obviously connotes that fact that this is a holy ground on which the faith of man is tested. The prolonged life of the human body is completely non-christian as Jesus is the door through which all mortal bodies are reincarnated into their heavenly bodies. To live life peacefully with knowledge of death is the true path to take and not to live eternally with no hope of reaching heaven.
God is formless.
He took form as Jesus and was resurrected in a heavenly body. Remember the story of doubting Thomas?
All forms belongs to Him.
>thinking this shit makes up for the loss of a son and a wife
Zoom zoom spotted
>Something missing here?
He becomes happy again
>thinking this shit makes up for the loss of a son and a wife
What? Knowing theres a heaven and that Christ is your Lord and saviour? That makes no diffrence at all?
>losing family is ok because muh heaven
>he didn't chose to come back he would have died happily in Syracuse in the dephts of history.
Instead he lived happily with Marion
>Instead he lived happily with Marion
Who says? Divorce papers are just delying the inevitable
>He becomes happy again.
How? he didn't chose to come back he would have died happily in Syracuse in the dephts of history. also marion deciding to take him back doesn't resolve anything,he is also still wanted for murder (the movie kinda forgot that)
how did mutt who could swing across trees and dodge bullets die in vietnam? ffs forest gump didn’t even die there
I thought the same thing. He should be out there spreading the Gospel.
atheist California will never let that happen
Ever heard of Luke Skywalker?
Every male role has to be a sad loser now, get on with the times
I hated when Luke saved the Resistance and restored the galaxy's hope too.
He also saw some crazy Hindi shit.

Christcuck whining about things that aren't even accurate thread #133567543
dante had a load of greek mythological beings and deities exist in hell, shiva is some analogue to divinity and kali is a demon. they fricked up hindu religion massively in that movie anyway, kali is not an evil deity
In all fairness, he also discovered that Indian cult mythology has a grain of truth to it given the Shankara stones and the guy literally living after having his heart ripped out. Maybe thats Satan tho. There are no interdimensional aliens; it isnt canon.
I have this problem with lots of movies and tv shows which deal shallowly with Christian mythology. All the characters are very blase about the fact that heaven exists. For example, Buffy has seen that Crosses and holy water work on vampires and yet doesnt make the connection to some greater meaning. She even goes to heaven and comes back without an ounce of existential thought about it.
israeli people don't believe in an afterlife and they don't believe in Hell is the reason why
They don’t believe in a hell for themselves
>She even goes to heaven and comes back without an ounce of existential thought about it.
It's been decades but I seem to remember that the shock of being dropped from heaven back to the mortal world made her a miserable sad sack.
Which shouldn't matter. If you know (not simply believe) that heaven exists AND you're worthy enough to go there, there's really no reason to get depressed since mortal life is just a short inconvenience compared to an eternity of bliss.
"We defeated the wrong enemy" Gen. Patton
how is this not idolatry? the real jesus would've divided it among the poor
>divided it among the poor
divided what? a cup? he divided it through the sacrament of the blood tho.
Finding out Christianity is true since the grail actually worked made him as a mischling depressed.
what Islamic artefact could Indy find? The prophets donkey bridle?
Found this whilst looking this up:
>The Shrine on Sex Mountain
>Legend has it that in medieval Java, prince Pangeran Samodro fell in love with his stepmother Nyai Ontrowulan; and fled to Kemukus Mountain with her, where the two were eventually killed by the king’s soldiers. A shrine developed around their graves. And since at least the nineteenth century, devotees have been visiting the shrine, engaging in eyebrow-raising rituals that involve having mandatory sex with someone who is not one‘s legal spouse. Pilgrimage to (and illicit sexual activity on) Kemukus Mountain is supposed to ensure material success and wellbeing. The ritual may have its roots in pre-Islamic Tantric ideas, but most of the Indonesian pilgrims nowadays see themselves as devout Muslims. Not surprisingly, the shrine and its rituals have drawn the anger of other Muslims and several times in recent years authorities have attempted to ban religious and sexual activities on Mount Kemungus, colloquially often referred to as the Sex Mountain.
>japanese climbing mountain while yelling about sex
mohammeds sandles are an actual thing
Solomon's ring that makes you talk to birds
Did they address this in the movies? shouldn't he be a devout Christian?
The plan from the start was to destroy indie as a anti hero character.
Just as they did with luke skywalker.
~~*they*~~ want to destory our childhood heroes and replace them with woke shit they have now.
All part of trying to subvert us.
>~~*they*~~ want to destory our childhood heroes and replace them with woke shit they have now.
Spielberg and Ford are israelites already anon.
Never forget
Almost all the shitty ideas from Crystal Skull were Lucas's though. We have confirmation on that. And Lucas isn't israeli.
>Something missing here?
yes. good writing
>Ends up a depressed loner with no meaning in his life
This didn't happen/thread.
Not even experiencing actual biblical shit can make a sane person want to associate with modern day "Christians"
You wouldn't need to. Even the prophets in the old testament wanted to live in a cave after hearing the word of God.
>t. r*ddit gaytheist
Indiana Jones isn’t set in the modern day.
>Modern Indiana Jones
>Professor Delequandrius "Indiana" Jones hates museums and loots them to return artifacts to their rightful homelands where they are promptly destroyed by religious extremists or melted down to make cheap gaudy israeliteelry
>"Take that systemically racist white male patriarchy" he said as he sipped a mountain dew, watching rioters digging up a confederate cemetery and desecrating the remains.
he says as non christians inject kids with HRT
He says as preists play penis inspection day and the Vatican sweeps it under the rug.
literally a million times people have posted on here that on a per capita basis priests don’t molest any more than the average man, it’s something like 4%. meanwhile teachers are right up there at 8% and school boards constantly move them around to protect them (this doesn’t matter though for some reason, neither does shit like the Westminster pedophile document being destroyed, because it’s fine when my secular masters do it)
>literally a million times people have posted on here that on a per capita basis priests don’t molest any more than the average man,
I've seen people post that it IS higher than average on here a million times though.
Ok I guess i’ll post a source then
https://www.psychologytoday.com/gb/blog/do-the-right-thing/201808/separating-facts-about-clergy-abuse-fiction?amp
>pop science
>written by a christlet
have a nice day
Seething kek
>Putting clergy abuse in context, research from the US Department of Education found that about 5-7 percent of public school teachers engaged in similar sexually abusive behavior with their students during a similar time frame.
And there go the goalposts. Christ isn't sending his best.
I accept etc
what goalposts did I move moron? that quote you posted is not part of the study
And my own source (Rutgers Prof)
>We’re not entirely sure, but the estimates are around one-percent of the male population
Google the text for link.
So priests are way higher than the gen pop, as per your article. Thanks for playing.
At least they acknowledge it’s evil by hiding it (back in the 80s when all this shit happened, none of it is recent), meanwhile secularists genuinely want trans kid mutilation enshrined in law
>acknowledge a cover up
>assume it has stopped
kek, gullible
if you know anything about this, yes. they have basically made it impossible for priests to be alone with kids since, hence all the cases being from the 80s where the statute of limitations has run out, hence zero arrests
Source?
Indy fights a dragon in the ps2 game. How does that fit into the mythology?
not canon
it's better to just keep thinking of indy as a trilogy
>Let's see what your favorite hero has been up to, kids.
>He's a depressed loser who abandoned and was abandoned by everyone he ever cared about!
Because he was already a devout Hindu after the events of ToD so the Christian tricks of some old boomer knight couldn’t sway Indy’s faith.
>all this atheist cope because they dont want their favourite characters to have any faith
you can really get gaytheists to seethe over any fricking topic remotely adjacent to religion. it’s a movie. the new one is a boring and nonsensical continuation because stories like these are not meant to go on indefinitely
Says the guy who sees nothing cringe about all the fundie panic in this thread.
there’s no “fundie panic” you moronic millennial, it’s not the 90s anymore
Middle aged atheists think we still exist in the bush era
>redditor seething about religion in the 30s serial adventure man movie thread
give it a rest kek
>the 30s serial adventure man movie thread
dishonest christcuck frfr to be tbh
Black person you are throwing a tantrum over action movies from the 80s having religion in them
I’m not even a christgay myself but it’s tiresome. I don’t need to hear the same r/atheism rhetoric 50 times over on the movie board.
Pardon the playground parlance, but the christcucks started it in this thread. They made it about how Indy should be preaching and that movies are le godless etc.
you mean the purple prose midwit parlance, and literally the first guy to mention it ITT was one of you, likely literally you still sat in here crying
le aneurysm faec
thanks for telling me instead of sending a picture of you undergoing that right now
The thread is wondering why a fictional character who had two encounters verifying the truth of the Christian God's power isn't a devout Christian, which is a perfectly acceptable question. Why'd you enter the thread just to have a fedora meltdown when you could see what the thread's prompt was from the 'log?
Don't give precious (you)'s to JIDF, anon
>tried to post a serious question about a characters growth and development
>turns into a shit flinging contest
>i’m just sick of the preaching of fundies!
>preaches every single thread about atheism
>omg what is the message here?
This is what growing up on youtube essays and smoking weed does to a developing child's brain
they really had to kill off mutt and ruin his marriage
frick disney
Yeah. George was missing here.
It would’ve been better if they showed him outliving all of his friends and how he had to deal with that, now that he’s immortal.
Indy is israeli.
