how do we feel about the early 2000s revival? it seems Hollywood is still catching with the 90s while streaming services like netflix are keeping up

What's even a "early 2000s revival"?
It's a mystery.
The fifth coming of Art Deco
I don't know. There isn't even a really distinct aesthetic associated with it.
>how do we feel about the early 2000s revival?
Is that even happening? I mean sure, zoomers on social media are engaging in it but I don't think I've seen much mainstream media trying to recapture the essence of the 2000s
Yomi is white? nice
Of course. Tomo always called her the fat one of the group.
>How do we
frick off, form your own goddamn opinion.
This the thread?
>the swine flu vaccination blacklist
clever
>early 2000s
Shoe brand I work for already moving from late 00's designs to early 10's, though it feels like early to mid 90's still the most popular.
Early to mid 90s has actually had a bit of a resurgence with Gen Z lately, I think they're interested by it because it's the last period of culture before they were born. Been seeing a lot of love for music and styles from that era.
Post this artist's fat stuff please
post it yourselves you homosexuals made me curious
This is the worst fricking art style ever, good thing the clone high reboot flopped hard
Calarts is a blessing in comparison
Shit bait
Even in Death Vito is kino.
I don't care if he's a fat fetishist I like lolwutburger's art style
>fat fetishist
Yes, he's an animation fan.
Soulless
Not Cinemaphile but I believe Bug Fables has been one of the most successful 2000's revivals so far
Every board should have a mandatory Azumanga thread as a reminder of this site’s origins.
Azumanga > Yotsuba
Yotsuba has certainly taken it easy in SoL town for years and years, forgetting its secondary cast. It might be reviviing a little.
To be fair to Yotsuba, it never stood as much of a chance with me personally, Chiyo was the least interesting character in Azu, so having a series focused around a character of a similar age and removing the school framing, not as much appeal
Chiyo was 10 was Azumanga started (it's interesting how she looks and acts differently at the end when she's 13). Yotsuba is 5 (still; ~six months have passed since the series started).
Still both kids anon
It’s more about how they act than their actual age
I like both but I kind of like yotsuba more, it felt like there was more going on in terms of character dynamics and scenarios, at least in the earlier chapters. Most of the jokes and characters Azu don’t really do it for me especially with the school setting. The 4koma is better than the anime anyways
Well, is someone going to post it or not?
As far as I can tell they were still latching onto the 80s, did we even have a 90s revival?
wienero's Modern Strife.
There was a brief 90s revival in the early 10s and a few other attempts spattered about it, but the 80s always kept pushing it back down. I'm so fricking sick of 80s nostalgia it's unreal, that shit's been going on since the early 00s now.
>there has been the same amount of time between the 80s and Vice City as there was between Vice City as today
Bad. They hire people who know of the shows, but inevitably end up hating the characters or some fundamental aspect of what made the original show work.
are we going to get a daria reboot?
did azumanga daioh got popular on tiktok or something? why are zoomers posting and making memes about it now?
there definitely has been a bit of a resurgence but its mostly just osaka who got popular again
>LWB
it's just zoomers having second hand info from troll remorse having goons while the internet becomes more corporate
Is this /the/ thread?
