can't bruise the cruise
nuff said
simple as
been saying this for years brother! tom stays winning he knows his shit and he knows what people truly want
He doesnt get involved with suppressive persons
Fun movie
No woke shit
No identity politics
It's that simple, it really is. Tom has to pull to avoid that stuff and the other people with the same pull don't have the drive
And the box office will still be lower than Black Panther 2
why should I as a consumer care about that? I care about being entertained, not about made-up box office numbers
>made-up box office numbers
Cope. Woke capeshit is more popular than M.I.
I wouldn't take that bet. Maybe in black supremacist markets like the U.. Elsewhere? Unlike capeshit, Mission Impossible movies actually have legs.
Why would you even say this when Black Black person 2 didn't make more than Cruise's last movie released near the peak of scamdemic paranoia where you were supposed to not go anywhere?
>Black Black person 2
There were blacks and women everywhere (as elite fighter pilots even) in top gun maverick though
>The 2020s US Navy allowing blacks in is... LE WOKE
That isn't woke politics, having blacks in senior roles in the 19th century navy is woke, or pretending they were medieval European monarchs.
Blacks and women simply existing isn't woke, you absolute moron.
Women aren't elite fighter pilots you brainless basedsheep.
None of them saved the day. Cruise did. They could have all just been cardboard cutouts on set.
and the women characters are hot
This is an important one
>Rebecca Ferguson
>Emmanuelle Béart
>Michelle Monaghan
>Lea Seydoux
>Kristin Scott Thomas
All goddesses.
Cruise has impeccable taste.
>Forgetting the hottest of them all, turboGILF Dame Vanessa Redgrave
shiggy
wokeism has actually made scientology seem more mysterious and alluring to me. from TC lambasting big pharma and "anti-depressants" to making kino after kino about high-tech machine-cladden men conquering the world.
>the title of the movie includes a colon, hyphen and a comma
Damn.
Which one would you rather go with:
>Mission - Impossible - Dead Reckoning - Part One
>Mission: Impossible: Dead Reckoning: Part One
>Mission, Impossible, Dead Reckoning, Part One
How about just the raw:
Mission Impossible Dead Reckoning Part One
It's a title not a sentence.
Cruise has the most consistent filmography of any movie star ever
Of course, some actors have been in better movies, but they've also been in way worse ones than Cruise
You can start at movie 1 of Cruise and go to his most recent and you will have a much more consistent experience than any other actor
We're dealing with thetan levels here that shouldn't even be possible
>suddenly RT scores matter
They always do when I agree with them.
Seethe and cope.
They do if it isn't a Disney or Sony movie.
Did anyone watch American made?
Yeah I've seen it a few times.
Big, impressive set piece action movies without over reliance on CG, trying to subvert expectations, or convey some bigger message than “good guys good, bad guys bad”.
He knows what people really want and is a madman.
Is this what the Nazis used to dispose of disabled israelites?
Yes, the very same.
I want to see the pile of mangled bikes this stunt caused.
He's been a great actor that cares about his work for most of his life, what do you think.
Time to lick those backs
Me in the middle.
I'd bust the biggest nut of all time in Kirby. Frick she is hot as a motherfricker.
Okay Pom.
>mommy hayley
>Greek goddess Kirby
bros... Is it even possible to choose just one
Can't disparage Esai Moreles, get it understood
I just realized this is Ritchie's brother in La Bamba
>Esai Moreles
>promote new movie by jumping out of a plane
based af
I unironically think hes the greatest movie star of all time
Just talk about shear impact to movies in general hes had
And before anyone has an aneurism, I'm not saying he's the greatest ever performance or even the greatest ever performer, but the impact he's had to entertain people I think is unparalleled.
>Thrilling action with good choreography, real stunts, real explosions, and shot on location
>Likeable characters with good dialogue and no forced political commentary
>Takes itself seriously with just enough humour to create levity but no endless quipping
>No CGI slop
>No laundry list of exhausting cinematic universe tie-ins
How indeed
>Likeable characters with good dialogue and no forced political commentary
I can't name a single Mission Impossible character
You don’t need to name the fricking character to enjoy them you geek. We all know them by their traits. The nerdy ginger IT whizz. The tough but trustworthy black guy. The athletic and flexible femme fatale. The righteous persistent hero. The goofy foreign sidekick
And all of them have zero character development. Imagine watching 2h40m of cliches
t. stopped watching this series after the 5th movie
>cliches
>tropes
>setups and payoffs
>show don't tell
have a nice day
>And all of them have zero character development
Black person Simon Pegg has been in the last like 4 of them and he slowly and realistically went from desk jockey to field man
why even say this? you clearly haven't watched the movies
ETHAN hunt
Benji (Simon Pegg)
Luther (Ving Rhames)
Mommy (Rebecca Ferguson)
>south park,The Boys, Louis Theroux, and that b***h from Saved by the Bell makes fun of you
>10 years later, all those people are forgotten
Tom Cruise and Scientology keep winning.
For me it's the real stunts. Movies don't do real stunts anymore that all do CGI.
It's not just that they're real. It's that they're well thought out, interesting, fun, and most importantly, they're incredibly well edited rather than the gimmicky, lazy, repetitive, unimaginative, single-take "please basedface" shit you see on the John Wick films.
He is going to feel so smug when Oppenheimer doesn't do as well as MI despite Oppenheimer getting all the imax screens.
I feel like Mission Impossible will get put back up on imax screens as soon as oppenheimer's deal ends because apparently there isn't a huge imax film releasing after oppenheimer for a while.
I wonder if cruise could find a young actor and take him under his wings to be the next big action star. And somehow keep that kid away from the shit heads in the rest of hollywood
remember when these movies had bands like limp bizkit and metallica on the soundtracks?
this song rules i dont care what anyone says
I do remember.
This shit is only good ironically
It's great unironically.
It's not though
You're moronic if you can't enjoy that unironically.
It's fun but completely ridiculous and doesn't even make sense
This is dogshit though, it's shot like a fricking television show
>2 hours and 43 minutes
why are tentpole entertainment films like Mission Impossible, John Wick and capeshit doing this?
Films need to earn this length, none of these blockbusters ever do.
Yeah why isn't it 30 seconds long, split-screen with Temple Run gameplay footage and with a sped-up Ice Spice song overlaid?.
I don't mind a good long movie and given how much I've enjoyed the last couple M:I's I'm sure I'm gonna have a good time at this one, but movies that never would've been this long in the past have been trending upwards in runtime over the past several years. Guardians 2 was 2:30h, Wakanda, John Wick 4 and the last Bond were all around the 2h45 range, The Batman was a whole 3 hours. I just think a movie's gotta be exceptionally good in order to justify running over 2 and a half hours, let alone approaching 3, and most of them just don't feel grandiose enough to warrant it. 2 hours and 10 is the perfect length for this sort of movie, that's what Top Gun Maverick clocked in at and no one complained it was too long or too short last year.
I love Heat - nearly 3 hours long
Goodfellas is one of my favourite films - 2 and a half hours long
Apocalypse Now is my favourite film of all time -the theatrical cut is 2 and a half hours long
my point was that these films earn their length, they are are more than Simon Pegg shouting inane bullshit whilst Tom Cruise does some cool stunts.
Some of these films earn their length with substance, others are meaningless popcorn flicks. Meaningless popcorn flicks should not be that long.
he has an extra amount of thetans. good for him.
He tries to give the audience a good time
Jews forgot how and dykes are incapable
Scientology is the one true religion and LRH himself has blessed Cruise with infinite success.
This surely is a bot right? I see scientology posts like this appear in every Cruise thread like clockwork, and they all have the same sort of thoughtless calculated blandness about them.
Are pretending to be moronic? Cruise is a scientologist. People are making bland shitty jokes about it on Cinemaphile.
just got my seats for next weekend. can't wait to watch
Blessed by Xenu
If I would meet him or James Cameron I would kneel before them. Two biggest madlads in the industry
You're forgetting about Mel Gibson.
It's simple. He likes to make movies rather than propaganda films.
what did Tom Cruise mean by this?
Doubting cruise is like doubting Cameron or Todd
If you see something starring The Cruise or directed by Cameron it's automatic kinøgrāphīa
idgaf what critics say
he's learned how to say "no, frick you, we're doing it my way" over the years
Nobody is going to give this a negative review. Cruise has his whole “save movie theaters” shtick going, so of course critics who want to keep getting free shit and getting invited to free early screening are going to review it positively. If you go against cruise, you are going against theaters in their view.
It’s very similar to during lockdowns, every movie that went direct to streaming was review bombed by homosexual reviewers who were mad it wasn’t in theaters.
And thats a good thing
Is there even any way to stop this man? Every cinema-related thing he touches turns to solid gold
>cape shit :-<
>cape shit but with high thethan level :-O
