It'll probably be perfectly serviceable, which of course means Cinemaphile will hate it.
>fat bunny girl
Now you have me vaguely intrigued
That's just one of the many random bunnies that live in Po's valley.
I stand corrected then.
Still, for a BG character design she alright.
seriously? the kung fu Panda Legends of Awesomeness BG bunny and not the one from the first movie's intro
Now that I've seen her, that's even better in my eyes!
probably as forgettable as 3, so completely average, then again I don't think I remember the last time I actually watched a cartoon movie.
As long as it doesn't have the obnoxious/unbearable jokes and overall personality from 2 and 3, i'm satisfied.
Only the first film was directed by John Stevenson and Mark Osborne (brother of Kent Osborne and director of the stop motion short "More"). Latter was brought to Dreamworks specifically to co direct KFP, but former had been at Dreamworks since 1999. His first credits there were a special thanks on the 2000 short Metropolular (pic related) and a story artist credit on Shrek in 2001.
Po's adoptive father and biological father will get married
Bas
I hope not too bad, really crossing my fingers that it does good and hopefully they let Po's story rest
Awkwafina is in it and Billie Eilish is doing music IIRC
Look at all the talent wasted on KFP2's crappy dialogue. Garber has 3 lines and Van-Damme has 6 lines.
>Po resets to being a bumbling moron for the 4th time
I'd rather see consistent fighting and skill improvement instead of using a new random magic trick during the last two minutes of a final battle.
>worst Pooh film ever and one of the most boring Dreamworks films ever
This is why USA animation films directed only by a woman are almost nonexistent.
If you saw kp3 and the TV content it created, it's gonna be probably bad.
My only fan hope is if they try to ship po and tigress at last but that's not gonna happen.
>people shitting on the best kfp movie.
Hey that's new to me, I'm actually baffled.
But I respect your post.
Best KFP movie is the first. But don't worry, that exact same post is always done by a resident schizo who hates the movie for reasons only it understands.
Is it just one person doing the KFP2 hate as of late? I was gone from Cinemaphile for a while so all this random hatred of the sequel is new on me. It comes off a lot like typical Cinemaphile contrarianism to be honest
or maybe Cinemaphile is full of idiots who can't recognize an obviously subpar/ho-hum film when they see it. KFP2 is the definition of subpar/ho-hum.
It's one guy
He always shows up
Interesting. This board just gets more and more schizos by the day. At least we'll never out-schizo /x/. Maybe.
KFP2 is the best film of the franchise
Honestly can't tell, dreamworks releases some of the best and worst animated movies simultaneously (i.e. puss in boots 2 and kraken movie)
As a trilogy KFP managed to do pretty well for itself. First one was a surprising quality movie and the second managed to improve on it. The third one was meh but even then it was a decent film that was more of a letdown rather than an outright bad film.
My hope is the fourth movie doesn't do as big a drop in quality as HtTYD. Holy shit that film was so bad I couldn't even finish it. Say whatever the frick you want about KFP3 but at least they made a point to show the annoying comedic characters to be able to contribute the final fight and help Po. Who the frick had the idea for HtTYD 3 to go "Hey, what if we make all the main character friends not just usless but activily make things worse for plot convenience".
Second film is an unfunny borefest with a shit portrayal of Po and Shifu.
The comedy in KFP2 brings the whole thing down. There is good animated humor and bad animated humor. KFP2 is stuffed with the bad one.
I feel like 4 is a huge monkeys paw for people who wanted Tai Lung back
They shoulda just had Po and Tigress have a white tiger kid or something who has anger issues. Boom, one bara catman in need of a redemption arc.
I remember when the trailer audio leaked and confirmed that the Chameleon is just impersonating old foes ala Shang Tsung minus the soul stuff
That really lowered my hopes on this
>"Ok, so the two directors of KFP1 aren't coming back to direct the sequel, nor do they seem interested in having any involvement with it. Who should we choose as director then? We have tons of experienced ones that have proven themselves"
>"Let's choose that south korean woman who never directed anything before and whose only notable credits at the studio so far were being head of story on the Sinbad film that flopped and also KFP1. Let's not give her any co directors to help out either, despite the fact that we almost always have more than 1 person at the helm of a film. Let's not delay the film at any point either. It must be finished by summer 2011"
What were they thinking?
Why do people like the second one? It's corny, boring, moves too fast, not funny or humorous, treats the viewer like a child, features an annoying portrayal of Po, the story makes little sense, is stuffed with misplaced jokes, takes place almost entirely in less than 1 day and a half, feels like an extended third act, has awful designs for the wolf mooks, Shifu barely appears, has no unexpected plot twists, gives Po a formulaic and overly familiar backstory, etc.
I can't take seriously the gaslighting of people who claim that KFP2 is good. Why? Because i remember the entire fricking script. Those 81 minutes are loaded in my brain. I know what i'm talking about when bashing the film. You can't fool me into thinking it's good because i remember it on a 100% level, including every bit of humor and every piece of dialogue.
You sound obsessed.
Least favorite theatrical motion picture of all time. What else can i tell you? Hatred is a powerful emotion.
Maybe you should dedicate yourself to memorizing movies you actually like.
After seeing the leak it's guaranteed garbage but not surprising since 3 wasn't very good either.
>Shen's backstory
>Po stuffing buns on his mouth
>Po and Shifu at the cave
>musicians village fight
>Po visits Ping and he tells him how he found him (one of only 2 good scenes with dialogue)
>Shen arrives to city and kills Rhino
>Shifu sends Furious Five to stop Shen
>Ping gives Po a travel pack (which dissapears afterwards)
>travel montage (recycled music from 1)
>radish nightmare
>Po and Tigress at boat (underwhelming conversation)
>Shen, goat and gorillas at throne room after bringing one cannon there
>F5 and Po infiltrate the city and arrive to prison
>Ox and Croc refuse to leave their cells
>chase between Po and Wolf Boss across the city on rickshaws until reaching the tower
>Po meets Shen and the goat. Group escapes from handcuffs, yet Shen gets away
>tower is destroyed
>Po is told to stay at the prison while F5 go to stop Shen. He leaves the prison off-screen
>Shen lets the goat free and prepares to sail to victory
>molten steel factory fight where Po is almost killed and the F5 are captured off-screen
>Po is saved by goat, who helps him remember his past and achieve inner peace
>Po frees the F5 and defeats Shen and the boat ships alongside the help of F5, a random Shifu, Croc and Ox, and the power of inner peace. Wolf Boss and Shen both die in the fight (former killed by the latter) while the other wolves/gorillas' fate isn't shown
>Po returns to the valley and embraces Ping as his father (the other good scene with dialogue)
>Po's biological father and other pandas are shown to be alive
>credits show how the contrived events of how baby Po arrived to the noodle restaurant
Bad movie
