Except for the ones who were 5-6. peak knd was 2004-2006 when zoomers were already pushing 10.
It's unironically a zillennial show since older and core millennials weren't watching this and most zoomers weren't born yet except for the ones born in the late 90s.
it's a descriptor of late millennial-elder zoomer overlap. Kids who were born in 1995 and 1999 grew up with similar experiences, despite being in two different generations. Most millennials and most zoomers didn't grow up on this show, except for this niche group of both generations. It's not a generation, it's describing the overlap of the edge of them. It's like Xennials.
Generations are arbitrary and people in them aren't gonna relate to each other so it makes sense to have half-generations

>half-generations
They already shortened generations to15 years. If you want to talk about common experiences to a decade... why do you need something more than the decade? You're arguing for a bumper zone that would be longer than the "true" generation.
The issue with gen Z is that If you were born between 1997 and like 2004 you would of had an experience growing up that is much closer to 90s millennials than those who grew up with smartphone tech in hand, precisely because they grew up with smartphone tech in hand.
Reruns and video stores didn't stop being a thing till like 2010 and unless your family was on the cutting edge and rich enough to just toss out old but still functional things you probably had access to both VHS and DvD for a time.
If you had to force me to pick a year where the reruns didn't overlap with millennial culture I would say 1995 or earlier outside of the big blockbuster movie classics or timeless holiday moves.
at least spongebob came out in the 90s and not the mid fricking 2000s. but the guy in that pic even says its a shared generation show. its both zoomer and millennial, but no millennial was young enough to be the target audience of knd in 2005

Kids born in 1996 would've been 5 or 6 years old when KND premiered. I'm a millennial who was 9 when KND premiered. I even remember the pilot playing on the Big Pick weekend.
at least spongebob came out in the 90s and not the mid fricking 2000s. but the guy in that pic even says its a shared generation show. its both zoomer and millennial, but no millennial was young enough to be the target audience of knd in 2005
It's a late millennial/early zoomer show because people who were born in the early 90s watched it as kids too.

literally everyone born in 1996-2000 watched this shit yet people keep calling it "millennial"
Seasons 1-2 of KND were late millennial, they aired in the Powerhouse era. Seasons 3+ (City era) when they started having storyarcs are Zoomer.
Millennials grew up in the 90s, or early 2000s (2000-2004) for younger ones. Zoomers grew up in the late 2000s (2005-2009) and 2010s. Early 2000s, late 2000s. Early late early late early late. Why can't people tell the difference between EARLY and LATE anymore?
NTA but no, not really. KND was one of those shows you could stick around for the fun action sequences as a young kid or be invested in the broader story if you were a little older. I did have a friend though whose parents wouldn't let him watch any cartoons except for one until he was like 12-13 though.
What year does the Zoomer generation start anyways? Because I was always of the opinion that if you can't remember at least the last part of the 90's then you are a zoomer
From whatever your interpretation, its usually somewhere between 1995-1997. Purists say 1997. >if you can't remember at least the last part of the 90's then you are a zoomer
What I usually hear is people saying "If you can't remember 9/11, you're a zoomer".
1996-1997. Basically if you don't remember the turn of the millennium you can't call yourself a millennial. If you don't vividly remember life before 9/11 you're a zoomer for sure. People born in 1996-1997 don't really remember life before 9/11 which is why zoomers usually start then

Zillennial is not a generation
it's a descriptor of late millennial-elder zoomer overlap. Kids who were born in 1995 and 1999 grew up with similar experiences, despite being in two different generations. Most millennials and most zoomers didn't grow up on this show, except for this niche group of both generations. It's not a generation, it's describing the overlap of the edge of them. Zillennials are kind of a generation tbh. 2000s kids
I guess it depends on your perspective.
Generations are arbitrary and people in them aren't gonna relate to each other so it makes sense to have half-generations

The only way to watch is if you were a 1996 late millennial and witnessed the series finale when you were 12 in 2008
1996 is already entering zoomer territory. most millennials were adults when this shit was on
Because when premiered zoomers were just being born.
Except for the ones who were 5-6. peak knd was 2004-2006 when zoomers were already pushing 10.

KND came out in 2002

>Ocarina of Time is a Zoomer game
What kind of delusion is this?
I saw one episode of this in a retirement home
What were you doing there?
Visiting their grandma?
Why were they visiting their grandma?
What
was saying
Kids born in 1996 would've been 5 or 6 years old when KND premiered. I'm a millennial who was 9 when KND premiered. I even remember the pilot playing on the Big Pick weekend.
Is 6 too young to watch KND or something?
No, but to say millennials didn't watch is absolutely absurd.
Seasons 1-2 of KND were late millennial, they aired in the Powerhouse era. Seasons 3+ (City era) when they started having storyarcs are Zoomer.
Seasons 1-2 were 2002-2004, that's zoomer.

KND started having story arcs in season 2, dummy

Generations are made up moron shit you know that right?
You idiots are all falling for the adults dividing you into age brackets you all played yourselfs.
show started in 2002. The early audience was late millennial
What year does the Zoomer generation start anyways? Because I was always of the opinion that if you can't remember at least the last part of the 90's then you are a zoomer
most statistical orgs use 1997
From whatever your interpretation, its usually somewhere between 1995-1997. Purists say 1997.
>if you can't remember at least the last part of the 90's then you are a zoomer

Makes sense I suppose

couldn't we just have a regular thread for this show?
we could but the title in the OP poisoned the well from the jump
no, it must ALWAYS be accompanied by obvious bait
That's the best way to get people to post. Just look at how many threads we've had about Calvin and Hobbes recently
I'm more of a Camp Lazlo and Chowder person.
I thought Camp Lazlo was alright, but I'd pick Chowder over it 9 times out of 10.
2003 is the cutoff not 2000. The show lasted a long time with reruns.
They had a sad backstory.
Even for an ESL, it took me waaay to long to realize that eleventy is not a number.
i loved when they snuck in little jokes like that
Wait millennials are trying to claim this? This is zoomercore.
>zoomercore.
it's zoomercoded and is giving afterschoolcore
>DUDE -OOMERS AMIRITE??
kys
