There's people like you, then there's the weenies that cry when he does kill.
Motherfrickers just love hating on Superman.
Just watched the Injustice movie the other day and gayman takes that "killing murderous psychopaths make you no different" shit to the extreme on there. Frick gayman.
no he's not. He had an entire year long arc where he ran away from earth because he was so traumatised by the very idea he'd killed his first and only criminals, which was only resolved by revealing he didn't kill them at all and they faked it to make him feel sad, only then did he agree to come back to earth. Same with WHTTMOT, when he accidentally kills his first criminal he immediately depowers himself and quits forever
superheroes having a no kill rule is the most contrived bullshit ever and makes no sense. >if I kill this human trafficker serial killer who poisons children and escapes from prison every week...im just as bad as the guy who killed my parents because uuhhh I JUST AM OK
>If I agree with this one person he kills now I will agree with every person he kills in the future with the power i've given him
better hope he doesn't sympathize with the troons, you might get lasered for misgendering and thus perpetuating trans genocide
It's a plot device, Batman would be pretty boring if he just immediately kills his nemesis. The recurring villain is kino.
Plus Batman's reluctance to kill has been a great character trait/flaw to explore in his stories. The consequences of sparing his enemy vs killing them, how he deals with the internal conflict, etc.
God Millennials are fricking moronic. No wonder the israelite controls this generation more than anyone through Tumblr. You guys don't stand a chance, that's why the israelite has gotten so obvious.
The heroes did the right thing, they apprehended the criminal. It's the corrupt worthless prison industrial complex that keeps letting them escape. ACAB!!
It's not a plot device, it's a contrivance from the stupid demands of endless monthly publishing for 80+ years. It is purely a dumb business idea that has been reverse engineered into a stupid sacred cow of superheroes, not for any real plot or artistic reason.
>hey stop right there Superman don't kill the evil unstoppable alien with godlike powers, give him to us so we can lock him in Arkham Asylum for 2-3 days!
Superman not killing people makes some kind of sense because for one he is powerful to stop almost anyone without killing them and two killing criminals would just feed into Lex Luthors xenophobic propaganda.
I don't mind superheroes killing (I tend to prefer they don't kill, because otherwise you run out of supervillains to use), I mind them torturing/punishing/executing defeated foes.
>superhero kills everyone he thinks deserves it >this now makes him a wanted criminal as he has committed mass murder
It's not like the courts would pardon a hitman if he was only accepting contracts on suspected criminals. He's still going around murdering people. It makes sense for superheros to not kill because then they can help the police to stop even more criminals as they're less likely to be chased by the police themselves.
He has crazy powers, if he was willing to kill indiscriminately kryptonite wouldn’t really be an issue >what’s that I hear? Some generals talking about kryptonite 1000 miles away? Splat
>Already breaking the law
Yes but in a way that society can accept without public outrage. The police can turn a blind eye to a vigilante who dumps criminals at their door with a folder filled with evidence so that they can be prosecuted. They can't turn a blind eye if a vigilante starts dumping a pile of decapitated heads at the door to the station everyday because normal people aren't going to be as happy with that. The police officers are still just guys with careers who want promotions. They wouldn't get a promotion if they focussed their efforts on trying to catch a vigilante that the general public actually liked because it would be bad PR.
no they wouldn't, they wouldn't want everyone they love to know they've become just as evil as the person who killed them. That's why some men are heroes and others are villains, heroes don't let themselves fall when times are tough or else they were always rotten to the core.
>no they wouldn't
Yes they would, they would want that tragedy to never happen to anyone else, so the children rapist and the mass murderer need to die >become just as evil as the person who killed them
If you kill the clown how killed 10 000 000 humans being with a atomic bomb, you're just evil as him

Only if they're stupid impulsive psychopaths like you looking for an excuse to justify being murdering scumbags. People like you get the rope, the only difference between you and them is that you're too cowardly. >If you kill the clown how killed 10 000 000 humans being with a atomic bomb, you're just evil as him
Yes. He killed people he wants dead. You killed people you want dead. It's all just an excuse to excuse your stunted unintelligence and hedonistic moral weakness. Real Heroes don't make excuses, and they don't fall into evil just because they don't like someone, they do what's Right. Always. That's the difference between Batman and The Joker. That's the difference between the heroes and the cowards like (YOU).

Heroes kill so civilians wouldn’t have to. They make the hard choices. They make the sacrifices. All so the average person can sleep better at night. Batman’s just a pussy who wants to have his cake and eat it too.

They’re vigilantes. They’re already breaking the law.
What you guys said. Never really understood the anger at Supes not murking people regularly. There are so, so many "what if superheroes killed people" variations, sometimes just playing it straight is a novel idea this long into the history of the genre. If you want to read cape comics about superheroes who kill people, Miracleman, Watchmen, Stardust the Super Wizard, the Boys, Kingdom Come, etc. are all right there. All Star Superman, Astro City and the like demand just a little bit more from their heroes-superman knows his life would be easier if he lobotomized lex after world takeover plan number 11 and threw metallo into a black hole, but he doesn't do what's easy or convenient, he does what he knows to be morally right. He has faith in the system, and lacks the swaggering arrogance to believe his vision of justice and truth is absolute.
Superman is a metaphor. He's not only what men should strive to be as individuals, but an ideal that entire nations and the entire world should strive toward. Like Jesus.

The world doesn’t fricking work like that. Being the “bigger man” usually fricks you up or even gets you killed. It’s fiction, not real life.
Yes, that's the point. It's fiction. Fiction doesn't adhere to the rules of objective reality. Fiction can be aspirational and silly and optimistic and foolish all at once and make us smile when we read it not because it's true to life, but because it represents a world that's a little kinder and gentler than ours. If you want to read "gritty" "realistic" cape comics Alan Moore is right there. Start with Miracleman if you haven't read it yet.

I would have been disinclined to believe you like a decade ago but the quantity of grown adults who believe real life (particularly geopolitics) works like a marvel movie is shocking and appalling...
Ah, well. A shame so few comic authors can strike a balance between pure childish fantasy and edgy shitposting. If I took a drink every time Hellblazer goes off on random screeds concerning British politics I'd be under the table
Forgiving the villain and let him live is kino but only when the villain tries to become a better person or at least get some kind of development, if the villain remains 100% the same then it's shit that will only be liked by manchildren
It's fine that Superman tries to help people instead of kill them but there's instances like Doomsday where the concept is just fricking stupid. Doomsday is a murder machine, kill him.
We cant be sure they died. Maybe the fortress has a dungeon at the bottom and he just kept them captive until they died of the horrible wounds they sustained from falling haha
It’s just dumb ass bleeding hearts who don’t know shit about how the world works and ridiculously assume that there’s good in everyone, ignoring the existence of psychopaths and legit evil people. They’re childish and believe in a version of the world that never existed, nor will it ever.
>NOOO YOU CANT JUDGE WHO DESERVES TO DIE AND WHO DOESNT, JUST LET THE CRIMINAL HAVE A PLACE TO SLEEP, EAT, SHOWER, AND LIVE FOR THE REST OF HIS LIFE WITH THE TAXPAYER’S MONEY, FOREVER!!!
Reminder that support of violence, murdering prisoners and the death penalty is negatively correlated with intelligence.
That's why there was a wave of violent crime in 70s America, lead poisoning makes you too stupid and impulsive to think of the long term moral consequences of taking people's lives.
You'll be the next Joker, hunted down by vigilantes and shot down in the streets like a dog to die in a pile of trash for illegally killing people.
Not so nice when the shoe's on the other foot, huh stupid?
The Joker’s murdered innocents by the thousands. Only guy I killed was him, the objectively evil dude. How does that make me the next Joker?

Motherfrickers just love hating on Superman.
Just watched the Injustice movie the other day and gayman takes that "killing murderous psychopaths make you no different" shit to the extreme on there. Frick gayman.
Almost every superhero is against killing because they're fricking brightly colored fantasy heroes aimed at preteens
>preteens
You mean children. Preteens would think they’re gay for not killing their villains.
no he's not. He had an entire year long arc where he ran away from earth because he was so traumatised by the very idea he'd killed his first and only criminals, which was only resolved by revealing he didn't kill them at all and they faked it to make him feel sad, only then did he agree to come back to earth. Superman sperged out when Wonder woman killed Lord.
maiming them to the point they can barely live is worse than death he is sadistic like that
superheroes having a no kill rule is the most contrived bullshit ever and makes no sense.

Emotional, low t, upset.
It makes him look like an idiot. The average person thinks Batman’s moronic for not killing the Joker.
no they don't everyone sees Batman as a hero. That's why people were mad when Fatfleck was killing random mooks in BvS, Batman is a hero.
If they have to make the hero do something moronic to let the villain escape then it's bad writing
Superman kills people, even the Chris Reeve one does.
Why doesn't he assassinate Lex Luthor in his sleep then
he enjoys the bantz, without Lex his job would be too easy
He has no case, Lex walks
He and Lex used to be best friends. He knows Lex is capable of good.
Lex has really good lawyers.
Lex's only crimes are being jealous of Superman and stealing cakes.
>i'd prefer a space tyrant who kills anyone that he decides is deserving of death unbound by law
yeah that's not a slippery slope at all
>hey stop right there Superman don't kill the evil unstoppable alien with godlike powers, give him to us so we can lock him in Arkham Asylum for 2-3 days!
>fast forward 2 years
>jaywalking is now punishable by being thrown into the sun
Superman not killing people makes some kind of sense because for one he is powerful to stop almost anyone without killing them and two killing criminals would just feed into Lex Luthors xenophobic propaganda.
the managerial class hates responsibility.
Superheroes were introduced as the managerial class was forming and gaining power.
I don't mind superheroes killing (I tend to prefer they don't kill, because otherwise you run out of supervillains to use), I mind them torturing/punishing/executing defeated foes.

First the police, then the army using kryptonite. You guys sure are stupid.
>inb4 "b-but I'm not stupid"
Yes, you are.
He has crazy powers, if he was willing to kill indiscriminately kryptonite wouldn’t really be an issue
>what’s that I hear? Some generals talking about kryptonite 1000 miles away? Splat
The fact that superman doesn't enjoy causing pain escapes you, huh?
We’re talking hypotheticals about a fictional character bud
and not enjoying harming others is part of the fictional character's premise
But what if it wasn’t?
Same as "what if he had no powers". He wouldn't be superman.
Kryptonite isn’t infinite. There’s a limited supply. Plus, there are several ways to make the fricking rocks inert and therefore harmless to him.
None of that is relevant
Tell us more about how you feel.
They’re vigilantes. They’re already breaking the law.

I’m pretty sure the families of the villain’s victims would prefer the bad guy to be dead, rather than him continue to live on in prison.
Move to some moronic thirdie shithole that still has blood feuds then.
no they wouldn't, they wouldn't want everyone they love to know they've become just as evil as the person who killed them. That's why some men are heroes and others are villains, heroes don't let themselves fall when times are tough or else they were always rotten to the core.

I think deep down Joker does want to die but Batman is too moral/dumb to get the hint.
bro the entire final boss of Arkham Origins was Batman racing to stop Joker from committing suicide.
Go back to Cinemaphile you outrageous moron.
