          That was when boarding schools were more prominent. Obviously at day-schools gays weren't the norm, since the boys weren't sleeping together in the same dorms.

          It's derived from "flagging," or going limp from exhaustion.

          The etymologies are probably related. I can see how those boys would go limp after all that gayging.

    Not only do better scans exist, there's also a digital Moulinsart version.

    There is a digital edition by Moulinsart but imo it looks awful, as does every printed version since they took over the rights.
