I recently rewatched The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker and didn't think they were as horrible as I had once remembered them to be. But I also recently rewatched Rogue One and didn't think it was as interesting or exciting as I remembered it either.

Neat.
You're getting soft.
>But I also recently rewatched Rogue One and didn't think it was as interesting or exciting as I remembered it either.
R1 mostly benefitted from releasing during the sequels which created the "thank god i don't have to watch Rey or Finn in a Star Wars movie" effect. But when taken out of that context it's a pretty dull watch.
It has its moments. For example, Krennic choking on his ambitions and getting deleted by the superweapon he helped create is pure kino
How did a guy I have only ever seen play a crackhead covered in dog shit in a mid Brad Pitt movie end up being the second best sci fi general ever?
Krennic was alright, but underutilized by the movie.
>I AM ONE WITH REDDIT
>REDDIT IS WITH ME
The demoralisation campaign is working
Robot bro better be back in s2 and choke slam andor again.
I didn't ask.
You sound like a cool guy can I suck your dick
>This is a rebellion, isn't it? I rebel.
Is there a more iconic quote in nuwars?
>somehow palpatine returned
>we are the match that makes the spark that lights the fuse that ignites the flame that burns down the first order
I honestly can’t tell if you’re meming or if that was the real line
The real one is hardly different.
>The real one is hardly different.
One of the goode ones
She only said this in the trailers so I doubt normies would remember it
Rogue One is proof Scorsese was right about blockbusters. Rogue One's first half is utter trash, the characters are irredeemably shit and the whole thing has nothing of value going for it beyond 20 minutes of pew pew at the end. The Last Jedi and Rise of Skywalker are trash but at least in general people agree on that. Rogue One is the most infuriating movie of them all because brain dead consuuumers try to defend it as a masterpiece and pretend it's actually a good one. Cinema is dead because of these halfwits and Rogue One is proof of that. All it takes to make people praise your shit is putting on screen the name of a thing they like, a character cameo for 30 seconds and a few explosions. That's all you need. These people don't care about editing or writing or characters. All they want is to see the character they recognize be played by the actor they recognize doing the thing they recognize. Substance only scares the brain dead morons which is why Hollywood takes out anything and everything interesting. RO is the piece of shit film you rotbrains deserve.
I agree with every word you've said. Rogue One is terrible and the action is not even good. It's just as much shit thrown at you as possible with no point or logic to it. You don't care about any of the characters, and there is no thematic core whatsoever, beyond generic, cliche theme of "muh sacrifice." It is so dull and boring, and I want to curb stomp every Black person who says "ROGUE ONE IS THE BEST STAR WARS MOBIE SINCE EMPIRE!11" It is such a fricking shallow nothingburger, and the only thing it has going for it is pretty visuals.
No but dude did you see Darth Vader swing his light saber around and kill those dudes? It was so epic dude.
That was so fricking embarrassing. It's like whoever made it saw the original Darth Vader's entrance and thought, "Yeah, that sucks! Watch how it should be done..." And it doesn't make any sense continuity-wise. A few hours ago, Vader was this slasher-horror maniac cutting people with his lightsaber, and now he doesn't wanna fricking bother, and looks bored through and throughout? The original film gave the impression that killing regular goons with his lightsaber was beneath him. He looks with a look of utter boredom and banality at the corpses of those rebels, and just walks away. He sent stormtroopers first, and only then he came in. Not like that embarrassment from R1. What a shit movie.
they're all bland and glaringly bad in some areas
Solo is actually decent because Howard rebuilt a trainwreck in to something watchable but overall it still suffers from moronic Disney management.
if you watch a LOT of movie and tv shows - specifically fantasy/scifi - you will notice that the standards drop precipitously as the years go by.
either you turn into a raging moron like me or your standards drop year by year.
Rogue One sucked ass. Only Star Wars movie I fell asleep during. Casio Andor and Leia 2 were boring and stiff. The fricking robot has the most personality and was the best part of the movie and then everyone died. Frick yidsney.
>and then everyone died.
You don't watch alot of Asian cinema.
Rogue one was like a 4/10 flick and the other nu wars movies were like 2/10. The old ones were entertaining and empire strikes back was a great movie but other than that star wars is fricking gay and the only people who watch that shit now are boring redditors, the franchise has been getting repeatedly soiled for the past 20 years
I felt like I was going crazy when people said how amazing RO was. Pacing it awful.
I thought Solo was a better film than RO and that's still poor.
I think Rogue One is more of a visual movie. The plot is quite simple and there isn't a lot going on with the characters, but I guess it let's you imagine what their backstory was instead of being told with huge amounts of exposition.
It does feel weird after watching Andor because the tone is so different.
Please continue with what you think of every from you have watched
